Great experience, estimate provided quickly job done professionally and all work of high quality. Jim is the best plumber ever; not only is he extremely professional and competent but friendly and punctual on top of that! Since we moved to our house a year ago, he has cleared the upstairs tub drain and repaired the upstairs bathroom shower valve on the first call; he installed a water line near my husband's large fish tank on the second call; the third time he came within an hour of our call when the kitchen drain clogged (a week before Thanksgiving) and was backing up into the dishwasher and leaking into the basement; and the fourth time he came the day after Christmas to replace a leaky circulator pump on our heating boiler. This fifth and most recent time, since he is a much in-demand plumber, we had to wait a few weeks for him to have open time in his schedule to install the gas line. He was, however, upfront with me that there would be a wait- then it turned out some time became available two weeks earlier than he thought it would and he called me to see if he could come to do the work at that point. He is so good about coming soon when there is an emergency that I find it to be no problem at all to wait a while for non-emergencies. He is such a great plumber that I don't want to hire anyone, besides Jim, to do any of our plumbing work from now on!

Overall, it went great! I am happy that my sink and toilet are filed! Quck - fast - professional. I will need other plumbing work in the future and would contact Jim Richard Plumbing again.

I contacted him via email - he got right back to me with a quote. He met my renter and decided on a replacement unit - all went well, very quickly, all without me having to get involved.

I had a slow drain in tub/shower. Jim came out and promptly, in about 40 minutes , cleared the drain by using a power snake under the pedestal sink. I had previously had another plumber come and try to manually snake the drain from the tub area with no blockage noted. He suggested that maybe there was an elbow that the snake could not accomodate and suggested I try a strong liquid plumber. It didn't work. Jim was efficient, cleaned up throughly, arrived at a mutually agreed time and his charge was reasonable. I would recommend him and will use him in future for plumbing needs.

Jim was very responsive from the start, he corresponded via email to setup the initial estimate and then the rough & finish plumbing. When it came to the work he was great, he arrived on time and had the work done promptly and left everything nice and clean. We plan on using him for further plumbing and heating work.

I am a landlord, and my tenants told me on Thursday that they noticed some water under the sink. I made a couple of calls to plumbers I found on Angie's list that night, and Jim was the first to call me back the next morning. He said he had time that day to come by, so I picked a time to meet him at the condo. I showed up a couple of minutes early and his truck was already parked outside. The aluminum pan that the tenants put under the sink to catch water was completely filled (and had unfortunately spilled over to the bottom of the cabinet) so he helped bail water out of the pan to dump outside until the water was low enough to pick up and empty the pan without spilling. He then cleaned up the spilled water as best he could and helped give me advice on how to adress the water damage to the bottom of the plywood cabinet. He found the cause of the dripping (the water spray hose) and tightened the loose connection. Unfortunately it made the sprayer stick, so he took apart the faucet to fix that. He was there about a half hour and charged me for the service call ($100 minus $10 for Angie's List members) It's technically his hourly rate, but it seems that's the minimum for coming out to do anything since he wasn't there a full hour. It seemed fair enough. Overall, he was pleasant to deal with, tried to clean-up after himself, and he got the job done less than 24 hours after it was reported to me

The overall experience was exceptional. Jim showed up on time, was extremely pleasant to deal with, and quickly went about his work. I had purchased a new washer/dryer from home depot and after doing the pipe work required for the gas dryer he helped me stack the units and set up the dryer vent. He exceeded my expectations by helping me doing the heavy lifting which in no way required a plumber. On top of that the cost came in at what he had quoted me despite the above and beyond service I would use him again and highly recommend him to others

This was a really good experience. My initial call was returned quickly and, since the work I needed done was not urgent, an appointment arranged at an entirely reasonable date. Jim Richard arrived just when he said he would, was professional, friendly (my dogs didn't even bark!) ,accommodating and generous with his advice. His price was about what I had expected to pay and I will certainly be calling him again when I need a plumber.

He is very busy but very accommodating. I have been extremely happy with his work.

Jim came when he said he would, promptly performed the work and was great to deal with. I originally had to cancel my first appointment the night before the appontment. Jim was very understanding and we were able to reschedule the job right away.

I called Jim. It was easy to schedule an appointment, and i didn't have to wait long for an appointment. He arrived promptly, got to work right away, did a thorough job, and even swept up after his work was done. (I've noticed that not all workmen clean up, so this is a huge 'plus' for me.) He was polite, professional, and personable. He even offered ingenious advice on removing water from the basement. Will absolutely have him back.

It's been a while, so I don't remember the amount spent (treat the $0 as meaning "I don't know") and the date is highly approximate .He was helpful in the process of selecting, a toilet, not steering us to any particular brand and guiding us through pros and cons. He was very professional and prompt/punctual in all aspects in the work (including cleaning up afterwards) and his relationship with us. We will definitely call on him again when we need any plumbing done.

This company was listed as performing "24 hour/7 days a week emergency service." We had garbage backing up in our kitchen sink (what we considered an emergency) and phoned them and left a message early on Friday evening. It is now Sunday morning, and we have had absolutely no response from them. If they don't want to actually provide 24/7 emergency service, they should not advertise that they do. We wasted nearly 2 days waiting for their call and not having use of our kitchen sink. It is Easter Sunday now and we are expecting guests later today and are in a real bind not being able to use our sink and having dirty dishes piled up.

I had two problems. 1. The basement drain that the set tub and the washing machine drian in to was clogged so when the washing machine emptied the rinse water it backed up and flooded the basement floor. I tried 3 applications of Drano and I swear it made it worse. It's like it partially melted the clog and then it solidified to be even more compact. 2. One of the toilets ran all the time unless you reached in the tank and manually pulled up the ball. Gross. Jim returned my call on the same day and came 2 days later. He fixed both problems within about an hour and cleaned up after himself. He explained what he was doing and why. The price was reasonable.

We moved into our new home and found that whenever the 1st floor shower was running, we had a leak through the ceiling into the basement. Being new homeowners, our knowledge base of home plumbing is somewhat limited and didn't know how much it would cost to repair the problem. I found Jim Richard on Angie's List and was extremely pleased with his service. He was punctual, professional and friendly. He completed the job quickly and took the time to explain what he had done and what parts needed to be replaced. The cost was extremely reasonable. I will certainly use Jim Richard Plumbing & Heating again in the future. Thanks, Jim!

He's terrific, he's excellent and always great. He did it the same day the problem arose. He's courteous, friendly, prompt and clean. I think he's reasonably priced. That was an expensive job but that wasn't his fault. He doesn't leave a mess.

I love that it is owner operated. It is a very personal business and he will remember you. He is very responsive and most of the time can get out in a timely manner and will try and fit you in wherever he can. He is a very nice guy and is extremely friendly. He is easy going and has an optimistic outlook and positive attitude. He is such a pleasure to work with!

Again, Jim helped us out of a bind. The sump had to be unplugged because the on/off switch would not turn off. He discussed the situation with us. Because of impeding bad weather, a working pump was necessary immediately. Jim fit this job into his busy schedule. This was appreciated very much.

JIm was responsive, polite, friendly and even took time to let my 3-year-old see what he was doing. We think the price was good, but we're most grateful that he agreed to come at 7am, he showed up on time and he finished the work quickly. We weren't even late for work! We plan to do a kitchen renovation next year, and Jim will be our plumber, without a doubt.

The work was performed to my utmost satisfaction. I have since hired Jim when ever I need plumbing work in my house. I would be hard pressed to recommend someone else.
