Jim was terrific to work with from the start. His estimate was clear and reasonable, his work was thorough and timely. We look forward to bringing him back to do additional work.

We've used Jim on a few occasions and the reason we keep using him is because he provides good work at very reasonable prices. Sometimes we have to wait longer than we'd like to get the work done but I think its worth it to use someone you can trust and who won't overcharge. He came to our house three times to fix various problems - once to replace a toilet and fix a leak, one to replace our water heater, and once to replace some valves on a boiler. Every time he showed up when he said he would, did the job and addressed any problems. We are now considering using him for a much bigger plumbing job at our house.

Jim was very helpful. He is very helpful and courteous and returned our phone calls right away. Everything was done promptly and professionally, the work was explained to us in clear terms. He also charged us very fairly. Would definitely recommend him to anybody needing a plumber.

Great job start to finish. Jim came when he said he would, thoroughly explained some unexpected challenges with the job (the unit I had purchased didn't include an air intake pipe, so he needed to install a separate air intake). He helped the electrician troubleshoot a problem he was having with the electrical component and got the city inspector over in a timely manner. He cleaned up completely and was very professional. His final bill came in below his estimate. Jim seems very busy, so it took him a couple days to get back to me to schedule a time for him to look at the job and I did have to schedule the job about a month out.

Jim was prompt with his quote and his work. The actual invoice came in below his estimate. I am very satisfied with the quality of his work and his professionalism.

He is a terrific guy, very easy to work with and we will use him again.

Jim came out to look at a leak under the kitchen sink and he diagnosed it as leak at the faucet. He replace the whole faucet with a new Delta (professional grade) traditional single handle faucet which he provided (but he did give us the option for us buy it ourself at the local home improvement store). He finished the job quickly in no time.

Jim Richard (Plumber) was professional and clean. He responded to our request promptly and was quick in finishing his part of the job. We were without a shower for only one day. Grade A.

Jim is great to work with. Responsive to all of our calls, always showed up on time and was really open to our requests and helped us come up with the best solution for putting new pipes in a 100 year old house. He even scheduled an appointment prior to performing the work just to review the project and to outline exactly how the installation was going to proceed. He allowed us to do some of the demo work ourselves to save on labor costs. Jim arrived right on time to start work and left the job site clean, but most importantly his work was impeccable. The project was completed in two days time as promised and absolutely exceeded my expectations. In all my experience with contractors, he definitely is one of the best. We had consulted with several other plumbers on Angie's List about this project, and Jim gave us the best solution and in the end, the best price. Honestly, considered not posting this review--as don't want Jim to be too busy the next time we schedule work with him!

The work Jim did for us was hard, so we were happy. He wiped his feet and took his shoes off. He came when he promised and he didn't charge too much either. We found him on Angie's List. He is just a great guy that does very thorough work. He is extremely neat and clean and I find that to be rather appealing.

Mike Richard came over right away; assessed the problem and fixed it the same day. His work was excellent, he e-mailed us the bill - which we appreciated very much, and followed up our payment with a note of thanks WE ARE BIG FANS OF MIKE RICHARD AND WILL DEFINITELY USE HIM AGAIN

He came to the house and gave us the estimate originally and it came out to be much less in the end. There was a lot of work involved and I would recommend them because they did such a good job. They were thorough and professional every step of the way.

Jim came to provide an estimate, the lowest of all the other plumbers we consulted. He showed up at the time he said he would for both the estimate and the actual job. He had to remove a wall to identify and replace the pipe. Jim is extremely pleasant and very professional. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again for routine as well as urgent plumbing matters. Of note: Jim does not take away plumbing debris. He is up front about this from the start. You'll need to find an alternative to get rid of the refuse.

Overall great experience. Jim worked around our schedule, arrived on time, and completed the work very quickly. I will be using him for any future plumbing needs.

Jim repaired the old flexible vent to the dryer and assured me I did not need to change the configuration. He also searched for the leak the other plumber had reported and did not find one, so that remains a mystery.

He gave us good advice and charged us nothing. He was prompt and professional.

We had excellent service provided to us by this company. The people were very professional. The man we dealt with the most was such a gentleman. He showed up right in the time frame of when he said he would arrive. He did not hesitate and he got right to work. He worked very quickly and had the entire project completed in about 2 to 3 hours total. We would definitely use this company's services again.

We were very happy with Jim's work. He was actually the only plumber we called (all off of Craig's List) that actually showed up to quote (an hour after my husband called) and quoted (that night over email in fact). We felt his prices were in the right ball park, so we signed on. Jim was very responsive to our schedule from rough through finish and did a great job with the work. He had to rip out a lot, and I felt like he got a lot done quickly. The work site was always neat at the end of the day. In particular, I liked that he's an early riser and likes to show up between 7 and 7:30. We were able to let him in and still get to work on time. He works best via phone, as he doesn't check his email every day, but for general questions or scheduling further out, email worked great. I have already recommended Jim to several friends, and would do so again.

Jim Richard was a pleasure to work with: prompt, straightforward, intelligent and honest. He came on a Tuesday to assess the situation and came back on Thursday to do the job. He was done in less than 2 hours. Other plumbers had told us they would have to tear through the tiles to replace everything. Jim replaced the parts that needed replacing to repair the existing fixtures. We have not received his bill yet but we know what to expect because he told us his hourly rate and the whole process was transparent from beginning to end. Highly recommended. We will use him again when we need a plumber.
