He called back half an hour after my leaving a message. He came by the next day as planned. He came off as a bit disagreeable. For example, he was not enthusiastic about replacing motion-detector light switches, because they required 3-wires and he suspected the existing wiring might have only two. But his role is to fix the customer's problems, not tell them it's inconvenient. (Of course it could be done, and it was by someone else.) Said he would call with an estimate the next day, but didn't. A few days later I e-mailed. He answered with an unrealistically high price (50% more than it cost in the end). That was for just one line item, and not the one that was most important, which he ignored. I got the impression he wasn't motivated.

I was very pleased with the work this contractor completed. It was a pretty big job but the men that came were very professional and really knew what they were doing. I am not going to show the price I paid, but I can say they were reasonable and I would hire them again in an instant.
