Helen Friel with the abundance of experience that she has assured me that she has, allowed 2 strangers to enter into my deeded space and inspect my property without my knowledge or consent. When I expressed my anger about the situation, she tried to blame me for having something they wanted to inspect in the first place. Apparently, my upstairs neightbor, who is her client, had given permission for these people to enter my property and perform an inspection without our consent. When I explained that the consent wasn't his to give because it clearly states in the condo docs that upstairs unit access to our basement was for access to shared utilities only, she again tried to shift the blame to me. I truly felt violated by her lack of professionalism and her inattention to the condo documents. I am left with no recourse except to share my negative experience with others. The lawyers that I have spoken to have suggested that I make formal complaints in professional circles so I am doing so I am now determined to move and where I may have considered hiring Helen at one point in the past to handle my sale, her lack of compassion and poor judgement have ensured that I will look to another realtor.
Description of Work: Actually Helen Friel did a great job of selling my neighbor's condo for almost 20% over asking price in a matter of days. I think she did a really good job marketing the place and pricing it to generate interest. My issue, as the downstairs neighbor,is with the lengths she was willing to go to close the sale. She gave permission for the buyer's inspector to trespass on our property without our knowledge and perform an inspection. And when I brought the issue to her attention, she was condescending and curt.

This is the worst realtor I've run across in 20 years. I've had 4 homes and interviewed plenty of real professionals to work with for those properties and I've met many more at Open houses.

We love Helen! We met her last year at an open house and liked her. We asked a few people about her reputation and they had wonderful things to say about her. Our experience was true to her word of mouth. She was professional, responsive, and energetic. It was very easy to get in touch with her whenever we had questions. She's a very experienced agent. We followed every suggestion she gave us on selling our house and it really worked for us; we got an offer over asking price. That's another good thing about Helen. She is very good at pricing houses, usually right on the money first time out. We would use Helen again in a heartbeat! It truly was a pleasure to work with her!
