Fish Window Cleaning

John Sheehy came by and counted all the windows and did an assessment on the cost for cleaning the inside and outside of my windows. He left an estimate but I decided to wait until the spring to have the windows cleaned. It just made more sense to wait and I will probably go with Fish since he received a very high rating from my niece whose windows he cleaned and from the positive reports on Angieslist.

Excellent service cleaning all windows including difficult storms. Very thorough and made sure I was satisfied with the cleaning job. Would hire again!

They were good. They did all my windows, inside and out. I would call them again. The fellows were great, they were the type of people you didn't mind having in your house. Some of the older windows they recommended an oxidation treatment for the the next time. I had a particular event I needed them done by and they were able to do it. I found them on Angie's List.

Prompt, professional, quiet and they even wore booties. They did a D- job on my family room picture window, all other of the 23 windows were fine. I think they didn't give that one a second wipe down. I can clearly see the squeegie marks.

I've had my windows cleaned previously but nobody had done the job like Fish Window. They cleaned and were able to get things off that no other company were able to clean. They work hard and seem to be better trained. My previous expirence it seemed like they were college kids whereas Fish Window Cleaning were more professional.

I contacted Fish, and within days they had visited my property, provided an estimate, and were able to schedule an appointment quickly. Overall, the team (2 cleaners) did beautiful work--the windows are quite old, and they had not been cleaned in years. Now, they look fantastic, and the cleaning was thorough inside and out. The work took about 5 hours. The team of 2 did the work, and it felt like they should have had 3 to really have been able to be most efficient. One of the crew members was new, and so the other (Austin) needed to take extra time to explain procedures to him and help him outside with ladder etc. At one point they hit the house quite hard with the ladder. Austin was very professional, explained things well, asked questions before moving things, etc. They were careful with hardwood floors, moving furniture, etc. There was one big problem: The newer crew member cracked one window accidentally--was not careful in handling/closing an older window. Austin handled the situation well and immediately had Fish contact a company to replace the window, but obviously this is a huge inconvenience. The glass company contacted me right away and scheduled a time to come, and Fish's insurance covers it. Still, this is a huge inconvenience, and they did not modify the price I paid for the cleaning otherwise.

The team - 3 men - appeared on time and went right to work. They did the insides first after removing the mullions. They replaced the mullions and did the sills. They unlatched the screens and started outside. They pointed out a couple of windows with air leaks that appeared cloudy. They relatched the screens and left. They were very clean and left no mess. The only problem was the estimate/bill. The estimator listed 10 windows, 1 door and 3 sliders. I don't know where the 3 sliders came from, we don't have any. Since we don't have sliders I presume the estimate/bill was high. I brought this to the attention of the company but haven't heard back yet.

Excellent job--our windows probably had not been cleaned in >15 years, so they did some heavy duty scrubbing and they look great!

Fish Window was great! They cleaned the windows inside and out. It was a miserable cold March day and they did a great job.

BEWARE if you have old windows! I will say this first: Fish made the 18 windows in my condo very clean. They definitely did their job with regards to cleaning. However, the windows in my condo are very large, old, beautiful double hung windows with old-fashioned window sash cords etc. They were not in perfect condition before the cleaning, but all of them were functional and opened and closed properly. After the cleaning, at least 7 of my windows either don't open at all (they are stuck in a closed position) or do open but won't stay open without support. It is going to cost me hundreds of dollars to repair the windows to a functional status. So I don't know if any other company is better at cleaning older windows, but I think I would have preferred functional, dirty windows to clean ones that don't open.

Super job, would definitely use them again.

The manager came promptly to view the site and give us an estimate. He was able to schedule the service for a date within a week or so. The crew arrived on schedule, were very polite and professional and did an excellent job. The only very minor quibble was that "the boss" had not told his employees about the $25 Anglie's List coupon. Fortunately, I had seen the coupon, cut it out, and emailed it to the office. They did honor the discount. I will use them again and start cleaning my windows much more often! (I had let them get very dirty over several years.)

These guys were great - and it was cold outside, too! They started on time and worked tirelessly until all 64 windows were sparkling and clean. I appreciated their efforts to make sure that even the very old windows looked their best.

Very happy with gutter cleaning. Only bad part, said they would come one day at a certain time, did not arrive until the next day, no phone call or anything letting me know that they would be a day late. I was pure luck that I arrived home in time to pay them.

They did an excellent job! They didn't disturb things in the house to get to the windows. Things were left as they were before they arrived. They were very pleasant and I would recommend them to others.

We got a groupon for this service, which we wanted anyway, and the Fish people were very responsive both in terms of calling us back and in terms of sending someone by to give us an estimate. They almost moved too fast for me, since I wasn't sure when we wanted them to come. They gave an estimate, talked me through it on the phone, and accommodated my schedule, keeping in good touch as our schedules changed. When they arrived they were very professional and friendly, and they did what they said they would do and charged what they said they would charge.

They were very quick and very thorough. I was very satisfied with the service.

They started a little late (9:00 ish) but the office called ahead to say they were delayed. I had to do errands and left them alone for the morning. They were very professional and worked quickly and non-instrusively. I was consulted several times....good communication. They were completed about 2:00 and gave me a nylon bag and large cleaning cylinder as a Company gift. After I checked the whole house, I was very satisfied with their work, their time and customer relations. It was more expensive than I originally had planned but felt it was money well-spent. I would recommend them.

I picked them specifically because they said they would clean the sills as well. It was written on my quote. I was given two other quotes for $300 from people that said "we only clean the glass; we wipe the sills quickly with our rag, but that's it" and I knew I needed more than that. One of the quotes was from M. Annis who had previously done a very good job on the glass. We were getting our house ready to go on the market and needed more than that done. To the credit of the lead guy who came, when I mentioned how glad I was to be getting the sills cleaned, he said "well we only give them a swipe", at which point I freaked out. He volunteered to do an example window to show me what they would do and it was representative of how the rest came out. Unfortunately, by the time he was done, I had realized that I didn't have the luxury of the additional days I would need to get a different contractor in, so I had them do the work. Were I to have understood how Fish's services compared to others when I was deciding whom to do the work, I would not have selected them. Along with everything else we needed to do at that time, my husband and I had to go around and clean the frames and sills of each of the windows after having just spent over $500 on them - very frustrating... They just don't do anything that justifies their significantly higher cost. I gave them a B for professionalism because I thought the guy who showed up at my house was very professional and trying to make the best out of walking into a bad situation, where the expectation were different than the service, but clearly, whomever wrote up my estimate and discussed it with me over the phone, didn't get professionalism. I suspect that for a commercial building, they may be worth their cost, but for residential service, there are other providers who offer the same quality at a dramatically lower cost.

Called and they came by the same day to give me a quote. It was more than twice as much as the company we went with so I did not use this company.

I was so happy with their window cleaning that I hired them for my gutters as well. They were excellent, and I will certainly use them again.
