overall it went well.

Did not show much initiative....

I was very very pleased with them.

The spring clean-up was done in a timely fashion, did everything they said they would do, and we were satisfied with those services. We hired them again for weekly lawn maintenance. They also had a competitive price. They did not pay attention very well, cut off parts of bushes. The grass was cut too low sometimes, exposing the root, cutting into the ground, as well. They were not very attentive which we called them about and just this week, they did not show up for services.

Craig and his team were really nice and worked with us - we have a new baby - to come get the estimate and get the work going. He even made sure not to ring the doorbell since we might be asleep in the early morning when his crew arrived. The team yanked out all our ugly, overgrown plants and replaced them with some simple, kid-friendly, drought-tolerant plants that Craig suggested. They also transplanted my butterfly bush (we hope it will survive) to a better spot. They brought in a truck load of mulch and spread it through all the freshly weeded and cleaned up flower beds. They edged everything, raked, culled, pulled and hauled away everything that should not be in the yard. I'm pretty sure the place never looked so good. And they were finished before noon!

They were wonderful and did good landscaping.

We got estimates from three landscaper to grade our side yard, which was sloped and had the remnants of three trees on it. Craig was not the cheapest, but definitely the best value. It was clear that he was going to pay attention to the details that make for a good job (the cheapest landscaper just wanted to get in and out) , yet he was sensitive to our budget constraints. In addition, we were putting the retaining wall in ourselves, and Craig was amenable to working with us. In particular, he first did a rough grade and dug out footings for our wall, then we put the wall in, and he came back and did a final grading, loamed, rolled, and seeded. He first came out and dug out alot of fill to make the yard flat, which took one day. After the wall as in, he came back and finished the job. We set up sprinklers for the seed and the grass sprouted just fine, and Craig came back one final time to overseed. After this final visit we noticed that alot of our grass died a few days later in areas where the workers had walked, but we don't know if it was due to the overseeding or some other factor (maybe the extremely wet Spring caused the grass seedlings to be more sensitive).

Jeff came out the day after I called Craig's Landscaping to walk around the property and discuss what exactly I was looking to have done. Our front yard is entirely mulch and shrubs so required a lot of weeding and new mulch; our back yard has a border of mulch and plantings. We scheduled the work to happen a couple weeks later and the team that came out was very thorough; the front and back yard looked amazing after they finished.

They did a great job. They were prompt. They were very fast and efficient. They followed the instructions; they are very good at getting back to you and they are good.

Craig responded right away to my initial call. He came to do an estimate within a few days and then submitted the written estimate within the week. The work was done within the next few weeks. He let us know when he'd be coming; asked if he could remove a tree branch to get his truck into the driveway, and got the job done within a week, despite record breaking high temperatures. The yard looks great now. Clean up was pretty good too.

Craig came out to give me an estimate and ended up somewhere in the middle of the quotes I received. I decided to go with him because he seemed to be the best combination of knowledge and price. A few weeks after accepting his proposal, Craig's guys came out and did the work. In the interim, it was sometimes difficult to get in touch with Craig. Phone call returns sometimes took up to two days. They added a landscape timber to my patio to improve the appearance and smoothness of the grade, taking special care to cut notches in the bottom of the timber to facilitate drainage. Craig also followed up with me the day after the job with recommendations to help my lawn grow healthy and strong. Thanks to him, my yard looks much better and is well on its way to looking great!

He started the work as expected and his crew worked efficiently and carefully, all pleasant to have in our yard. Additions (ie: a walkway in the back and a side drainage pipe) were not made out to be problems and were constructed with an artistic flair. Suggestions for plantings were very helpful and were put in place carefully. We have had numerous passersby take the time to tell us how nice our house looks now, "prettiest on the street".

I had five quotes for the project. Craig's was one of the least expensive (the others were around $15,000). I gave Craig a time limit for both projects (2 months) to be totally completed. His company did both projects by the deadline, and they came out absolutely perfect. He did what he said he would do under the time limit we settled on, and left the job as clean as it was before. I would use Craig's Landscaping again anytime I have any other landscaping problems.
