The "big deal" offer fixed the broken outdoor faucet, which had been shut off a few months ago, when it gave way. The other additions were suggested, and one was long overdue. The plumber who arrived was punctual and informative. The only problem was minimal: he couldn't give me a complete price. The bill for parts, however, arrived the next day.

They were great. They were very punctual and professional. They were very knowledgeable.

Excellent. Plumber arrived on time, replaced both faucets and made some recommendations for additional indoor piping changes. The old faucets were at least 50 years old and he had to chip away some of the exterior mortar to get at them. His work was clean and tidy and he sealed the faucet piping hole with cement and caulk. I'd recommend them and would use them again for lawn irrigation issues.

If you can call a plumbing experience wonderful, this was wonderful.

They came right away after I emailed them. On a Saturday morning at 08h00, in order to speed up the process. The price they give me where excellent (2500 $ to set up the lawn irrigation). But we didn't get the loan we were supposed to get. I hope next year we could do the job.

Our new home had an irrigation system which had not been used for a number of years. I contacted several irrigation companies after moving in, none of whom would come service the system since they had not been the ones to do the install. I was able to get the thing running that first summer but noticed that some of the sprinkler heads weren't turning while there was pooling of water around others and I never really mastered the programming of the timer. Earlier this spring, I reached out to two irrigation companies on Angie's List (M&M Sprinkler and Autowater Irrigation). While I awaited a call-back from M&M, I contacted Autowater Irrigation. Autowater irrigation were very responsive, able to accommodate my early morning request, quoted me a reasonable hourly fee (while stating that the entire job would likely take 30 minutes) and assured me that the technicians travel with well-stocked vehicles that allow all needed repairs to be completed on the spot. While the technician was 30 minutes late, he was very professional, quickly assessed the system and replaced two faulty sprinkler heads and reprogrammed the timer to my specifications (I had inadvertently set up 3 or 4 different start times).M&M did finally return my call and were very courteous, explaining they had been very busy, but I had already committed to Autowater, to whom I will definitely turn in the future.

Called during the last possible week before everything froze for the winter. There was one day above freezing that permitted the work to be performed. Autowater was professional, knowledgable, and prompt to assist; luckily before freezing weather caused costly repairs to the system. Excellent service and will be using them in the spring and beyond!

I called for an estimate on a Sat morning. The call was returned within 30 minutes and the onsite free estimate was complete within an hour. The price was nearly half of previous estimates (which I had to pay for). The lawn survey and water supply questions were much more extensive than the more expensive company and the recommended system was a better match between our needs and the available water supply. The crew showed up when they said they would. Laid all the piping in one day and connected and tested all the heads the following day. They showed up the next day, accommodating my schedule, to demonstrate the system and teach me how to adjust it. No problems so far (2.5 months). I will be making an appointment for seasonal service this week.

I was really in a bind. My landscapers had just finished completely re-seeding my lawn, which had been damaged badly in the summer of 2010. I knew my property had a sprinkler system, but I'd never used it since buying the place in 2009. When I turned on the system, most of the sprinklers were misfiring... what a mess. So here I was having just spent several thousand dollars on a new lawn whose seeds were going to dry up, get eaten up, or get washed away because I had no sprinkler system to make them grow. I called Autowater because they're in Arlington (like me), because they had an Angie's List coupon, and because their sticker was on my sprinkler programmer. I explained my dire situation, and Autowater sent Geoff, the owner himself, the very next morning. He quickly diagnosed the problems ("I give whoever installed this system a D") and ordered his team to come to fix everything that same afternoon. By evening, I had a working system and happy grass seeds. With the system running, a leak appeared on an exterior pipe responsible for the irrigation system. I called Autowater, and again they sent Geoff to fix the problem. He was always so courteous and prompt. In the end, the invoice I received was within the range of the quote I had been given. Autowater, and especially Geoff, really won me over with their responsiveness and, of course, with the results. Finally, you should know that I am a tough grader here on Angie's List, but Autowater deserves these straight A's.

When we bought our house 3 years ago, we were told that there was a sprinkler system out in the lawn somewhere, but it didn't work (and hadn't for the 5 years they lived there). So for at least 8 years, the sprinklers were not working. I called Autowater and explained that the system had been broken/dormant for 8 years. Seth showed up this morning and basically said "let's see what we can do." First we turned the water on - sounded good. Then he found the timer and plugged it in and said "let's give it a try." So i went out front and all of the sudden, sprinkler heads popped up all over my lawn - and worked ! Seth did this for each of the zones - sprinkler heads were all over the place. Really made my day. Seth explained the way that a system works, showed me how the rain sensor was broken. I had him replace the rain sensor as well as install a new and much better programmable timer. After Seth installed everything and showed me how it worked, he did alert me to the fact that the system DOES have a leak somewhere in the box outside, so I am having him come back next week to find the source of the leak. Otherwise - the system we thought was dead, is once again functioning. Everyone that I've spoken to at Autowater has been helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I am thrilled with the work and the quality and look forward to having them come back. I highly recommend them and already recommended them to my neighbor.

Always prompt and courteous. Used twice a year for routine maintenance (i.e. turning on & off at either end of the watering season). Also used once for assistance in adjusting irrigation sprays and timers. Pleasant and helpful. Will gladly continue using this company again.

Things go smoothly with them, and if there's anytime they don't go smoothly, the guys come back and make it right. They are always willing to figure out timing that works for us, explain things, etc. Like I said above, they just have the right mentality about serving people. It makes them easy to recommend.

I knew I was going away for 10 days when the drought was coming. I'd used their service before and had always been happy, but of course, I waited until the last minute to call. But Matt showed up on the dot and arranged everything, and, and described above, they came back to check during the really dry period. Absolutely the best!

Very responsive and professional company. Finished the whole job in 2 days. Very careful with the landscaping.

The technician did not even want to check the leak - he told me that my water meter was not running, so no leak. After he left, I checked the water and found the small meter was running. I ran out and found that backflow preventer was leaking. two hours later, an associate manager from this company showed up. When he tried to find out the issue, he broke another part. He told me that he can order part and fix it in next trip with part and labor charges. But he did not even know which part went wrong and it will cost more than $200 to order whole Watts backflow preventer.

I had a system put in by someone else which I had problems with. I wanted to extend it. They were good and I would continue to use them. You can call them up if you have a problem and they will talk you through it. They are helpful. They came back and took care of a problem that I had.

Jeff came out to give estimate shortly after we called. Estimate included everything, town permit, cost of second meter, timer, rain sensor, all plumbing and electircal. Final cost was exactly that of the estimate. We had a specially difficult situation, steeply sloping terrain, some lawn, some shrubs. Foreman Adam handled all of this very professionally and politely, warm personality. Great experience.

The quality of the work is good but they do not seem to be as good about returning phone as they used to be. There prices are also higher as well. I will be looking at using another company.

Overall, they're nice, and professional, but the turn-on and rain sensor experience was less than ideal. First, getting them to call me back was tough. I'd recommend not using their website/email contact option, and try not to leave a message. Just call back until you get a live person. I dealt with Anthony, who couldn't be nicer or more professional, but he's clearly over-extended, which explains slow call back times. When they came, the guy was good, and offered to install a rain sensor, which I wanted anyway. He didn't have any with him, and had to come back another day. Getting that visit scheduled was also tough, but we got it scheduled. I had agreed on where to put the sensor during the first visit, and I expected that to be where it was installed. I was wrong. It was put in a far more conspicuous place. Not the end of the world, but I would rather it wasn't where it was as it's actually way bigger and uglier than I thought it would be. Aside from that, it actually didn't work right, so I had to call them and get them back. This time, I left a message, and Anthony called me first thing the next morning, and offered a return visit the day after that. I haven't been able to verify that it's working properly yet, but I'm sure it will be or they'll fix it so it does. So, good guys, just too busy for their own good, I think. That said, I'd recommend them and would use them again.

I decided to give AutoWater a try given their fabulous reviews. Well, I hate to swim against the tide, but I didn't find them worthy of their reviews. The first difficulty came after I emailed them using the email given on the Angie's list web page. No reply. Sent a second email, no reply. After a few weeks, I called and got through to a man (Geoff?) who explained that the incorrect email was on the website but this had been fixed. OK, no worries, mistakes happen. I made an appointment and was told to have a check ready for the workman. They came within the pretty wide time frame, did the work in under 20 minutes and left with check. I didn't get the idea that they really tested the coverage of the sprinklers and indeed, some significant areas did not get water coverage. To be fair, I should have taken the time to call them back or followed through when I received their post card reminding me to call for mid-season check up but I think a good company gets it right the first time. An appointment was made to 'winterize' their system, and I was reminded again to have the check ready. I remembered to tell my mother-in-law they would be coming by, but I forgot about the check. By chance I came home as the technician was in the drive way writing up the bill. He had added a $10 surcharge because I didn't have the check for him. I went in to get the check and could see a lot of dirt on the downstairs carpet despite a decent amount of drop cloth that we had put down. I was told by mother-in-law that they were in and out within 15 minutes. As I did arrive in time, I was able to avoid the surcharge. I was told to have a check ready but I was not told about any surcharge if I did not remember. Rightly or wrongly, I am left with the impression that this company does a poor job servicing annual contracts. In my experience, they spent a minimum amount of time on the property setting the system up and not checking for adequate water coverage. I found them to leave a mess which was quite hard to do given the drop cloths on the carpet and finally, I think it is an extra burden on the customer to remember to pay at time of service. $75 for 15-20 minutes of this kind of work does not represent good value in my book.

I had a large area that I planned to plant several plants & flowers after my system was installed in early July. I ended up not planting in this large mulch bed & the sprinkler was throwing into it for no reason now. I called Auto Water in early August & Anthony sent out their BEST service technician to make the adjustments for me. That technician was Seth. Seth was very polite & extremely knowledgeable as I expected him to be. Seth took the time to explain how the heads worked & even provided me with a key so I could adjust them in the future if I wanted to. At the end of September I did some loom & seeding & noticed a few sprinkler heads were not working as they should. I called Auto Water & personally requested that Seth be sent out to help me again. Seth was punctual and polite as always. It turns out that some of the fresh loom had clogged a couple of the sprinkler heads & one of the heads valve was closed. Seth explained what he was doing as he worked. He then ran a full diagnostic check of my entire system for me. Everything is working perfectly again. Seth is a true asset to Auto Water! It is due to great service that Seth provided that I recommend Auto Water to everyone that I know.

The workmen were very professional and did a very good job. They did it very fast. When they were done everything was put back in place and it looked like they hadn't touched it at all.

They installed 43 sprinkler heads, a 9 zone system and a separate irrigation meter. They owner was honest, a little rough around the edges, but overall I'm very satisfied with the work that was performed. I definitely got what I paid for. The office person, Anthony, was wonderful.

They will now come in the Spring and Fall to turn it on and off. They are much better than other companies. They do an excellent job!

It went fabulously. I called and got a real person: Geoff, who is a pleasure to talk with. He is pleasant and professional. The man who showed up to do the job came on time and did the work we asked. He even shut down our two outdoor spigots, something we weren't expecting!
