The estimator was extremely nice. He informed that I should have a new driveway. I advised him to just put on seal coat and fill the cracks as best he can. I was not home when they arrived, they didn’t fill the cracks. When they came back, the gentleman was very unprofessional. He stated that I needed a new driveway, and would not finish the work. He was putting down the estimator down and saying that he didn’t know what he was doing. They sealed the driveway, but didn’t pull the weeds so they just sealed over top of them. In the deal it stated that they would pull the weeds. The gentleman that completed the work was very unprofessional and rude towards me and his fellow co-workers

They completed the job on time and did a great job. Communications via phone and email were clear and responsive.

The communication with this firm is terrible. After buying the deal, we were told that there would be a visit within a short amount of time. There was no indication of when they came by to survey the work. We had to contact them several weeks after the fact to find out the estimate, which was naturally more than the Angie's Deal come on price. Scheduling was problematic. Crew did not come on day they were supposed to come. Crew came back at a time we had not authorized, potentially leaving us with cars stuck in the garage for the weekend if we followed the directions to not drive on the surface for two days. When we called to complain, we were told that it was actually okay to drive on it in 8 hours. The number provided is a general number, not the number to the contractor you are dealing with. The crew did not attempt to talk to us, even though one of us works from home. The work was shoddy. It's obviously a volume situation, where they are trying to get through as many jobs as possible in a day. The contact indicated they would be here for several hours, yet they were done/gone in under an hour. It does not appear as if any cracks were filled prior to the thinnest of sealcoats being laid down. There was minimal attempt to clean off the surface before sealing it. We had swept, but even a quick pass with a leaf blower or a broom would have been necessary after several days delay. There were loose pebbles and twigs that were sealcoated down to the surface. Tell me that those are going to stay sealed over time. They sprayed over/through our gate which could have easily been removed by them or by us (had they asked), and now the bottom of the gate is black with seal coat. I feel as though we paid a big price for going with the low price/Angie's deal on this one.

It went well, but the big deal doesnt turn out to be much of a cost saving, they charge 0.25/sq ft normally, so would have cost me 500 vs 479, only a 21 dollars savings. But driveway coated well, looks like it is a good job, only time can tell whether it is of high quality in term of durability.

Took a month to schedule, but quality of job is excellent.

Nate was very good about giving me the estimate up front of the additional cost given the driveway was bigger than what the groupon covered. He also gave me an option for my walkways. He then called me to schedule it for next day since he had a cancellation. However, the next day he left me voicemail indicating he got in a fender bender and had to postpone. I was ok with this. He then said he could come the next day. So I told my tenants that he was delayed a day. However, he never showed up. when I called he said his truck wasn't fixed so we scheduled for Saturday as the day to do the job. So I told my tenants again but again he didn't show up. I didn't realize this until Monday. So I called again and he apologized and said he would come that day. So in the end he did come and did he do a good job. Even my neighbor ended up hiring him to do his driveway too. But I know my tenants were inconvenienced 3 times with having to not use the driveway and were annoyed that he didn't show up. I know car accidents happen and I think he was overwelmed with trying to reschedule everyone. But he probably could have done a better job to come when he did do the reschedule.

The provider kept contact with me frequently because of the frequwnt rain delays in June. The job was performed impeccably. They even returned the following week to reseal areas they were not completely happy with. I would recommend them to anyone who asked. Great ob

Everything went great. They did an awesome job at a great price. I could not find anyone willing to do such a small job without paying $300 minimum. There are a number of people who paid around the same for the sealcoat in my area, but I could not find or schedule them. I am very happy with the work that was done and thought the guys doing the work were very informative. Communication all around was smooth. I would definitely hire again.

They were coating it and the first thing that they did was they made an appointment with me for a particular time and it was quite good and very convenient for me but then they, I had to take out my car to get out of driveway and they did not show up. And then I tried to call them and there was no answer and then a couple of days later I do not know whether it was, as a result of the call I had made to Angie's list, I had complained to Angie's list and then they called me and they did not come over. I was kind of dissatisfied with it, for the timings and they are not making the appointment . And it did not come out very well, there were a lot of cracks in the driveway, it could be that they could not do any better, but in the beginning when they came they should have come out and told me well, we think we can do this and this. Had they given me an estimate and given me a picture what they were able to do, then I would have known what I want them to do, but they just came out and they did what they could and it works pretty well. There were no additional charges from their side. No, I owe them some money, the big deal was a certain amount and then there was an additional like a co-payment I had to make that was explained to me, and so there was not anything extra.

Did not respond to several phone calls and emails requesting that the job be scheduled - just complete silence in spite of repeated phone calls and emails for over 2 weeks. I can understand that they are busy due to the high demand following the big deal, but they should at least set aside some time each day to return their messages. An update: The day after I posted this review I heard back from the company and the job was scheduled within 1 day. They arrived at the scheduled time and actually did a very good job of fixing the cracks, seal coating the driveway etc. I have waited another month to write this review as I wanted to see if any further cracks develop or the coating washes away with the first rain etc., but everything still looks great. Hence, I will update my previous review to what I think is a fair review of the job. I'm still keeping an F for the responsiveness and hence an overall score of B, but otherwise they did a very good job.

It turned out very well. The big deal was $229 but there were extra charges because our driveway was longer. Nothing really stood out about them.

The "Big Deal" ws $179 for 800 sq ft of driveway asphalt seal coating. My driveway is approximately 3000 sq ft which resulted in extra charges which were very reasonable. The crew was very professional and personable. They made suggestions including the use off Crack Sealing and Gator Patch which improved the overall results at a reasonable price.

It was perfect. They fixed the problem while we were out on vacation and when we came back everything was good. It was very good service and the work was very clean.

I had bought an Angies list deal to have my driveway seal coated, it was for 800sq ft I found out after that my driveway was 400 sq ft so it was pretty much the full cost. But the company was pleasent to deal with even thought the job was push back and back due to the rain(nothing the company could do about that) I am very happy with the way everything looks

Very nice, punctual, professional. Would use them again.

The company replied and followed up with a quote in a timely manor. It was to expensive for my fixed budget.

My Response to Atlas Asphalt remarks of August 11, 2013: I'd like to address some erroneous and misleading items stated in the Atlas reply (on Aug 11,2013) to my review of July 30, 2013: - Contrary to his statement, Atlas did provide me with a written estimate and quote (dated 6/20/13 estimate #13156) to re-do the faulty work. it stated my driveway was 3296 sq. ft. (when Atlas originally did the faulty work my driveway was stated to be 2485 sq ft. somehow my driveway "grew" 30%. The "discounted" price quote to re-do the driveway was for $650 cash (the original faulty work was $584.73). - no mention was ever made to me of $200 off of the original price. All i have is their written $650 price quote to re-do the work. - I think his statement: "We was willing to pay for all labor and some materials.." is obviously wrong given the above. - the statement: " I GUARANTEE all of the services that I provide for my clients..." is wrong and misleading. If there is a guarantee, what is it and why wasn't i covered by it? It seems the "Guarantee" provided may be " Atlas will re-do the work as long as you pay for it", or so it seems by what i was offered. - Also, on their written proposals there is NO WRITTEN GUARANTEE or mention of a guarantee. (and my fault for not noticing that beforehand...i did not think it would be a problem as it turned out to be. This problem has ended in a "stalemate" and Atlas has done nothing to correct the problem. Once again, i restate...buyer beware! ...AND Do NOT have work done without a written guarantee! MY original REVIEW of July 30, 2013: I would not recommend this company at all. Last August (2012) I used this service to have my driveway sealcoated. During the winter I noticed streaks in the driveway where the sealer was not present. In the spring I contacted the company to have it addressed. It took many calls and finally after a couple months someone came out to look at it. He told me that the ?previous owner? of the business had done shoddy work and used shoddy materials. (note that the business had excellent reviews on Angies list) Rather than taking responsibility for a poor job, he proceeded to give me a proposal to have it re-done. My complaints: - The company should stand behind its product and installation. This company does not - They provided an estimate to re-do the driveway at a ?discounted? rate. The estimate to have it re-done was close to the amount I originally paid for the original faulty job - Somehow my driveway has increased in square footage from when it was originally done to now. My own rough calculations were closer to the original estimate and not the new ?expanded size? in the proposal to re-do the work - The ?Quality? sealer materials quoted for re-doing the work were the same ?Quality? materials I was told I would get originally. I have since spoken to another sealer contractor. Their price to do it is comparable to the ?discounted rate? quoted to re-do the driveway. And the new proposal is much more comprehensive. It calls for two coats of sealer applied manually by brush (Atlas only provides one coat and I believe applies by spray). The new contractor warrants their work for one year. Bottom line. This contractor: - Does not do quality work. - Is not responsive to problems. - Does not stand behind their work (no warranty) - Pricing is inflated and/or artificially overstates the size of the work to be done. Not to be trusted. ...and shouldn't get off the hook because he is the "new owner"

The service went pretty well. There were additional charges because we had additional station and they also did our sidewalks. They cleaned up after themselves. It was our first time to use them. They were not as good as the reviews had said in terms of the quality of the coating.

It didn't go since the provider didn't provide an estimate as promised.

Professional, responsive, on-time, easy and pleasant to work with. Excellent job of explaining options and what was needed as well as what to expect before and after. Willing to go above and beyond. Did an extra part that curved around to the mailbox. From start to finish a real pleasure. I had seven estimates, and I can say that all other companies were difficult to work with, did not return calls promptly and simply did not measure up to the high standard you can expect from Atlas. A real pleasure to work with Atlas. Use Atlas. They are simply the BEST!!

A little difficult to get a hold of - going back and forth via email didn't work out well, but once we connected on the phone was able to get all my questions answered and quote finalized. Once we locked down a date, they were there as promised and did a good job. The driveway came out pretty even (much better than the last guy I used a couple of years ago). Little bit of overspray on the lawn, but no big deal. No overspray on the garage or cobblestones. Good value for the the money. Will use again in the future!

The company failed to give proposal and perform service. Company responded to purchase of Big Deal promptly, saying that they needed an email address to send their proposal to. I provided my email address to company along with order number and phone number where I could be reached. From that point forwarded the relationship soured. Company then said they would be done on the 19th to measure drive. July 19th came and went - company did not show up. When I called the company and left a message asking why they did not show up, company representative called me back within a short time. The representative was pleasant and said that they would show up on Saturday or Sunday (when in the area to do other proposals) and would send a proposal to my email address. Unfortunately, the company never got beyond emailing me to let me know they would be down to do a proposal. After three no-shows by company, I got a bad feeling that if they couldn't do a proposal in a timely fashion, I was going to have a difficult time getting them to actually perform the seal coating service. I can understand that the company was busy, but the fact that I stayed home waiting for the company to show up, and they did not have the courtesy to email or call to say that they were cancelling, gave me the impression that the company wasn't interested in doing the work.

Very proactive company. They contacted me right away. They send me an estimate via mail after they inspected what needed to be done. Due to the sizeof my driveway, I had to pay $230 more. They notified me when they had a slot to do my driveway via phone. I was not planning on being home so I just left a check for them. When I returned home, the driveway had been asphalted. They did a great job with minimal work on my part. Will use them again.

I called and asked them to come back to touch up a spot that the rain washed away. He said he would be back that weekend, but it is now 3 weeks later, and he has not come back. Overall, the job looks pretty good. Initially, the price quoted was quite high, but they were willing to come down on the price.
