Description of Work: They followed up our call in 2 hours. Evaluated the job. Said they would drop off estimate in a few days. Why would you say you were interested in the job and never follow-up. I would not recommend using them. If you don't want to do the job, be honest and upfront.

Description of Work: I bought $200 toward asphalt services for a house that I am rehabbing and flipping. I did see an expiration on the coupon I purchased for Nov 15, 2013 which would have given me plenty of time to get the driveway done. A representative looked at the driveway and gave me a quote which I was very happy with. However, they have since told me that they stop working Sept 30 due to cold weather so I can't use them. I wanted to used them at the end of October which was my original plan. They offered to do it in the spring (which was very generous) but I won't have the house then!! Thank you! P.S. I plan to continue looking into Angie's Coupons and I promise to try and connect with the vendors before I purchase coupons in the future! Betsy Romeri

Description of Work: I ordered the deal, eventually reached the provider and set up a date. then i researched the products used and learned they were toxic. the provider initially told me that a safer alternative was available at higher price, but later recanted. I am therefore asking for this refund as directed by a former Angie's list specialist with whom I first discussed this problem.

Description of Work: It didn't go well at all. I appreciate that the new owner tried to fulfill the service but this didn't work either.

Description of Work: The svc provider came and told us that our driveway had been sealed last year and that there was no point in resealing - that it would not be advisable to do so again this year. It was a really nice thing to do - to tell us the truth about the matter because I wouldn't have known the difference otherwise. You can be sure that in future I will go back to Atlas as it is an honest firm.

Description of Work: I contracted for the service via Angie's List on or about July 19 where it was advertised as a "Big Deal." I called the company a number of times during their working hours in the following week and left a message for them to call me but received no response. Perhaps they are overwhelmed with calls related to their offer. As I need the work done soon I decided to go with another contractor.

Description of Work: The foreman of the seal coating crew showed up to my house ready to seal coat the driveway but he determined that it would not even be worth it because the driveway is too far damaged and kindly offered to refund my money.

This is strictly a matter of the client substantially underestimating the cost of this service over and above the Big Deal offer. We have budgeted for other home projects this year, and cannot afford the overage amount.

Description of Work: I thought that sealcoating would correct the cracks in my driveway but when the owner came out from Atlas, he explained the cracks were caused by water from the gutters. He recommended I use an extension to steer the water in another direction. To fix the driveway, it would need to be dug up and replaced and he gave me an estimate to do that. The service I purchase wouldn't have been applied to a driveway replacement.

Description of Work: My driveway has cracks and has not been maintained, so I jumped at the Sealcoating Big Deal. Atlas came out and gave me an estimate. He was prompt and a pleasure to speak with. He explained how sealcoating the driveway wouldn't be helpful based on the number of cracks and the state of the driveway. He was clear in helping me understand how sealcoating works and what it doesn't do. He gave me a clear written estimate to re-do the driveway, which I told him I can't afford at this time. However, I would call him in the future.

Description of Work: They did a nice job. We brought one issue to their attention and they rectified it immediately.

Description of Work: Sealcoat entire driveway and fill in all major cracks (approx 1648 sf). Anthony came to my house to measure the driveway and give me a price for the work. He was very personal and gave me a break on the price because I also had them fill the larger cracks. The same day in the evening, Rick called and said that he will be the one doing the job. We established a date and time and he and his two man crew arrived as planned. The three men were very polite and were very efficient in applying the sealcoat and crack filler. The were done in approximately 45 minutes. The drive looks great and I am very satisfied with the work done.

Description of Work: We hired Atlas to seal our driveway because of an Angie's List coupon. The owner, Anthony, came out promptly and was friendly and enthusiastic. Our driveway was in decent shape but had a couple minor rough spots and one significant crack. Unfortunately, we had a miscommunication about the work to be done. An extra patching service/charge was offered ("Gator Patch") which I thought would be applied to the rough spots, so we decided to go with it. The crew came on the scheduled day, which was while we were away on vacation, so we had no way to check the work until we returned. When we came back, I was disappointed that the rough spots had only been sealed without the extra patch material, and the largest/longest crack was not completely filled. I called Anthony back and he promised to get a crew back out in the next couple days. He said they would call with an arrival time, so I could plan to be around. However, the next day, I went to work, but they showed up first thing in the morning (only calling me once they arrived), so my wife wound up having to monitor the work. In the end, though, they were always responsive and prompt, and I'm now satisfied - the driveway now looks the way I expected it would originally. I would recommend them - just make absolutely sure you're crystal clear on what will be done, and with what materials.
