Atlas Asphalt & Sealcoat Services

When I received the last "Big Deal" offer for this company in June I called them to get a quote for seal coating my driveway (we would far exceed the 800 sq ft that was part of the offer), and some minor repairs of my driveway. They called me back promptly, and were very nice on the phone. They set up a time (actually, a two-day span, which was fine by me) for them to come by and provide a quote. They were to provide a quote and, if no one was home, leave the quote. Someone was home both days, all day, but no one showed and no quote was left. They never called back after that. So, I have no idea how good or bad their work is, but I didn't appreciate their not doing what they said they would do.

Atlas took their time to get the job done right. Did not rush through it. We are very happy with the quality of work that was done. My daughter, who lives across the street had her driveway done by another Co. We can definitely see the difference in quality of our driveway compared to hers. I am so glad I used Angie's List and found Atlas. We would recommend them to anyone.

Actually, they contacted me shortly after my buying the "Big Deal" to ask me if they would be able to do the work that day because they were going to be in the area. It happened to be a good day so I arranged to have them come in the afternoon as I was going to be out that morning. The crew showed up and went right to work. Jim, the supervisor, took the time to explain to me what the new product they were applying was (water based sealant), how long it needed to dry, and what to expect when it cured (approximately 1 month). In short, they were completely professional and did a great job. I would definately use them again.

The estimate was several hundred dollars more than any other service providers.

Jim and his team arrived on time last Saturday and did a great job. They were professionals ~ I apologized for not sweeping the driveway first but they took care of it for me without an issue. The team went to work immediately - each in their own assigned projects - they moved quickly and did the sealing. The driveway looks great and I could not be happier. Jim/Nate will look at another project for me to provide an estimate so I hope to use them again very soon. I would highly recommend Atlas Asphalt if you have a driveway issue - they are fairly priced and did a nice job.

My driveway was in bad shape but now it looks great. Jim and his team were professional and efficient. They took extra care not to get any sealant on my white vinyl fence. I would use their services again in the future.

Jim and the crew told us exactly when they would be here, showed up on time, and the team sealed our driveway like a pitt crew working on a race car. They all knew perfectly what to do, were fast, paid careful attention to detail, told us all about how to care for the newly coated driveway, and were extremely professional and courteous. As you can see from the Angie's list reviews, each time a customer has a not stellar review they are met immediately with an opposing email telling them they are misinformed or wrong. I expect the same here, but this will not deter me from giving this sincere feedback on the work performed. I called the owner and he came out and gave an estimate and I hired him to do the job. I even made sure he received additional business by having my neighbor also have their driveway sealcoated on the same day. The owner and his crew were punctual and friendly. I had the driveway sealcoated before this recent winter season. Basically, with spring now approaching the seal coat has already worn off in certain areas and does not look good at all, cracks have opened up at the front of the driveway and the edging near the stone patio does not look great. The job was on the expensive side of all the quotes I received and the work was not great. This is my feedback and this is my information to those looking for work. Basically, a disappointing experience.

The owner showed up on time. Although I had prepaid for a seal coat, he gave me an estimate for what it would really cost to seal, coat & repair my driveway, which was much, much more than I wanted to spend. I asked Angie's List for a refund & removed it promptly.

Great people to work with. I would use them again.

I received a voice mail from Anthony, who I believe owned the company, requesting that I return his call to set up an appointment. I did not return his call immediately but when I did I got his voice mail. We played phone tag for a while. I believe he called me using a cell phone which had a very poor connection and it was difficult to hear the entire message. However we continued to try and connect without much success. I called him back in late September asking him to please set up an appointment to preform the service. I received another voice mail back from him stating they stop performing this service at the end of September and asked if I had read the entire coupon and noticed the expiration date. He asked what I wanted to do about the service and if I wanted to have them sea lcoat the driveway in the spring of 2013. I didn't have the coupon with me at the time and couldn't verify the information. However when I did locate the coupon, the expiration date was actually the end of October but by that time it was too late to do much of anything. I do want the job to be completed and I will contact Anthony again in the spring.

Met with Anthony who had suggestions on what to do with hole in driveway and roots coming up and through in walkway. Went with most of Anthony's suggestions for work and then men that came to do the work and lastly the ashpalt covering were very nice and were concerned with the quality of their work. Overall process went very well.

Anthony did an awesome job of coming in, explaining the entire process, and preparing the area for the seal coat. He took the time to explain best practices to maintain the driveway as well as go over the do's and don'ts once the process was completed in order to ensure the seal coat last as long as possible. I am very happy with the work that he's done and I would definitely use them again in the future.

Atlas Asphalt stopped by to perform the job of sealcoating. When they inspected the driveway they highly recommended that the driveway be completely torn up and re-paved due to the condition of the driveway. They could have performed the sealcoating and charged me, and a few months later the cracks would have re-appeared. Due to their honesty and professionalism, when I re-pave the drive I will call Atlas.

They knew what they were doing.

My asphalt driveway was sealed by Atlas.They did an excellent job. First they gave me a fair estimate and good advice. They informed me by phone regularly on when they would be doing the work as the agreed upon date drew near. They came when they said they would . Also they saved me money by fixing parts of the driveway that were crumbling without extra charge. Atlas is a company that does things right and I would highly recommend them. All in all Atlas is a company you can have confidence in to do a great job at a fair price and will use them again if I need the services they provide.

We asked Atlas to provide and estimate for our driveway replacement project. The quote came out around 3x higher than my next quote... Not sure how it would be so high but the person estimating noted that the cost of asphalt was very high. Determined to go with my mid-range estimate and the project came out fine. They provided the estimate quickly and arrived for the appointment on-time.

Work crew showed up on time and were very courteous and professional. Finished the job in a timely manner and it still looks great a year later.

I signed up for the special they were running. But then found out the hard way that it simply doesn't include a lot of items that are necessary to even do the job - such as pressure washing, and any gaps etc that need filling. Lesson learned - read the fine print. I guess it's like groupon - the offers are usually too good to be true.

As above, they have been unable to seal the driveway as off yet, however say they will do so in the Spring
