Arlington Fuel Oil has the best and most knowledgeable service of any oil company I have found - and I have tried many of them over the years. I first used Arlington Oil Fuel four years ago after a top-rated oil company had twice sent servicemen to fix my furnace during a no-heat emergency. Both times the furnace ran for a few hours and then stopped. The result was no heat - and a bill for both calls. Their next plan was to sell me what they termed a "reconditioned oil burner". When I called the office and asked several pointed questions, it turned out that their "reconditioned" burners were just old, spare, used burners. Nothing was ever done to actually recondition (check or to tune) the burner they planned to sell me. Wow. When I finally found Arlington Fuel Oil, Matt Campbell knew the entire history of the specific model of my 16 year old furnace and all of its parts. The real problem? The particular year that my furnace was manufactured, the burner itself had been out-sourced to another company, which had since gone out of business. New parts were no longer being made for my particular burner. Matt was straight-forward and gave me several options. His thorough, highly-detailed knowledge of my furnace had come from many years of experience, going back to helping his father long ago. Ever since I have used Arlington Fuel Oil both to repair and to clean the furnace and the boiler in my 1912 two-family house. They have correctly diagnosed and fixed every problem that my old house could throw at them. They've given me exceptional service, with knowledge and integrity. And no more paying for "work" that doesn't work !

This is a company that does not stand behind their work. Arlington Fuel Oil installed a new furnace in my house in July of 2005. In December 2009, the furnace cut off and I called them. They told me that I needed a new furnace, again! Since it was December, I had no choice but to have a new one installed immediately. The total cost was around $5,700. The boiler company agreed to pay $1900. Arlington Fuel Oil wanted me to pay the rest. When I protested, they tried to blame the failure on me, even though I had never touched the system and 100% of the maintenance was done by them. The owner, Paul Campbell, called me and told me that he planned to take me to court. He claimed that there was likely "vapor leaks" in my system that caused it to fail, even though the leaks are not detectable. He did offer to deduct about $500-$600, which was an insult. So, that's where we stand as of February 2011.

When we bought our first house, the owner of the company came out and looked at every radiator with me and showed me how to bleed them and explained the whole system to me. I have used them as my oil delivery and maintenance company ever since. In fact, in our last home we converted to gas and stopped using them, but when we bought a new house that had an oil heating system we went right back to Arlington Fuel. Matt and his Dad have always provided prompt and reliable service, coming out once at midnight over the Christmas holidays to service our boiler with a smile - and their oil prices are good too!

I have always been pleased with their work as they are very quick and courteous. It's nice to deal with a family-like business because they want to make sure that you are satisfied with the work. I have been using them for almost 16 years.

They are doing pretty good so far. I would tell my friends and others about them and suggest they look into him.

My husband spoke to them over the phone and had a good conversation and was happy with what he heard from them. We plan to go with them in the future.

They are reliable and we were with them for years but we decided to go to a gas heater at this point. If we had oil heat we would use them in the future.

Started and finished on time, all materials not needed were taken away, very polite group of workers.

Although they claimed this apartment "barely uses any oil", they are charging me more than the 500 gallons I used in my house! All I can say now is that the heat does work and they've been responsive on the phone getting this all set up. The amount spent is their estimate based on previous usage and then spread over 10 months.

The Campbells at Arlington Fuel have served us for 24 years, in three different homes. I could not recommend them more highly. They are honest, fair, and incredibly responsive. If you are concerned about loss of heat on a winter holiday weekend, with a house full of guests - or simply would like a drip of oil from a tank addressed quickly, these are your guys.

In general, I just like them. I am only using them because we have a requirement to use their services since we have a contract. If I had a choice, then I would never use them. They are significantly overpriced. When they come out on a service call, they turn the water heater really high so that it uses oil. They try to bad mouth their competitors. We are just obligated to use their services for another two weeks and then we are no longer going to be using them.

They did a fantastic job. They were extremely fast and efficient.
