Description of Work: Tony was referred to us initially by a kitchen/bath remodeler when we needed help with a complicated plumbing issue in our very old house. We had several reputable plumbers (rated highly on Angie's list) and drain guys come out to take a look and they either botched the job further or wouldn't touch it at all (but of course asked to be paid $130+ for taking a look). Tony was calm, actually had the appropriate tool to help, and was able to coordinate with drain experts to get the problem fixed. Too bad the drain guy then caused a leak! But, Tony was back the next day (Saturday) to fix the leak and now my bathroom is up and running again! I would like to say that we had been working with this remodeler as a last resort because after many, many opinions and lots of money wasted, it didn't seem there was a good solution to the problem other than ripping out pipes and the bathtub and starting over. While we want a bathroom remodel, we weren't financially ready, but were stuck because we didn't have a functioning bath in the house. Given the cost of the potential remodeling job, and how much work Tony could've gotten out of the job, he could've decided NOT to try to help us and move forward with the remodel. Instead, he just thought he could fix it--and he did. That's not all. Came home from work today to find a cold house and a furnace that was off. We're new homeowners (but with a lof of furnace experience!) and couldn't figure out what was wrong. I called Tony (8 pm!), he walked me through things over the phone and we weren't able to fix it. So, he drove 45 minutes to my house! Turns out it was a basic thing, and I should've known what to do, but he was helpful, patient, and super nice (and extremely reasonably priced considering the after hours request!). Nice guy. Dependable, professional, trustworthy. Not sure how he could've gotten any low marks on Angie's List--but I think he's terrific

Tony is a nice guy with good intentions. He came in with the lowest priced bid, so we selected him. He did the plumbing in the bathrooms well enough, but did not respect our property. One example is that our new 6 ft tub had gouges throughout the bottom because he stood in our tub with boots with rocks in the soles while he installed our shower head. It cost us a few hundred dollars to have a specialist repair the gouges and scratches. It still doesn't look the way it should. Another example was that he didn't wear shoe covers as he replaced our furnace and tracked oil footprints throughout our basement and stair carpet. He clearly does not understand steam based oil furnaces. We have had to have a real steam guy come and fix the problems he created. When we asked Tony to come back and fix the problems, he brought his buddy who "was more acquainted with steam heating". Also when he finished installing the system, he was so proud of it, almost as if this were the first one he had done. It appears that based on this, it was. He also swindled me into thinking that a heated, insulated water tank would be the most efficient hot water storage tank. It turns out this is not true, it is just that they are much less expensive than the alternative.
Description of Work: Installed new oil-based furnace and water storage tank. Also re-plumbed both full and half-bath.

This is the second time we've used Tony's Plumbing. He is a contractor who keeps his word. We had two surprises on this job, one caused by a subcontractor Tony used, and the other as a result of the town regulations. Tony was straight with me about the situation, took care of making sure everything was done correctly and kept the agreed upon price even though it cost him. I do not hesitate to recommend him.
Description of Work: Replaced an existing oil fired burner.

Tony returned my call promptly, came for an estimate the next day, & quickly returned an estimate. Work was done as proposed, he showed up on time, followed up with the town, & charged as estimated. I will definitely use him again.

He showed up at the agreed upon time and proceeded to unclog two badly blocked bathroom sinks. In addition to this he diagnosed the reason for a leaky faucet and would have fixed it if he had had a replacement with him. He also unclogged a bathtub drain and finished his job long before the hour was up. He was courteous and professional and I would not hesitate to call him again.

Tony came out and gave an estimate and made suggestions that proved to be very helpful. Then he was prompt and neat, when he did the work. He also did a quality install and left the the baths gleaming.
Description of Work: The fixtures moved so drains and supply lines had to also in adjoining baths. Then when the walls and tile were done, Tony installed the fixtures.
