PERSONALIZED PLUMBING AND HEATING

Everything was completed as specified. Real-time interaction helped Peter to do some of the details as I wished but were difficult to specify precisely in advance. Knowing that the task had a reasonable amount of uncertainty, I opted for a budgetary quote rather than a fixed price. The actual price was a few hundred dollars lower than the budgetary figure. We were pleased with the work Peter has done for us before. This job reinforces that opinion.

1. Replacing water heater: This was routine work. He did the job, charged around $1500, fine. No problems. 2. Replace kitchen faucet filter cartridge: He did the work well enough. It came to around $100. 3. Install toilet and sink in basement bathroom: Toilet install went well enough. But then he seemed to have all kinds of problems with the sink. Initially installed it with a gap of nearly 4" between the wall and the sink! He was apparently going to leave it that way, but we noticed it at the last moment. He seemed surprised that we found a 4" gap problematic. After all sorts of complaining and various phone calls to our contractor, etc., he finally corrected it. Now it's fine, but not cheap considering the additional "costs" (time and aggravation). 4. During the course of our basement repair/rehab project (more specifically, after the had installed the water heater and swapped out our kitchen faucet filter, but before he installed the basement toilet and sink), we noticed signs of an active water leak in one part of the basement ceiling, beneath our kitchen sink and dishwasher. We asked him to diagnose and fix it. He didn't even bother to provide an estimate. He basically said "I can't figure it out." All in all: not very impressive.

I'm really glad I found Peter. I got several bids for installation of all the plumbing for a new master bathroom in a new addition--including the drains into the cellar. Peter was not the lowest bid, but when I met him I really liked him and got a good feeling that he was the man for the job. (He was not the highest bid either, by the way, about in the middle of the three bids). I can't say enough good things about his professionalism, his knowledge, his suggestions, how he dealt with the inspections, his communication, etc. He did a really wonderful job with all the rough install (the hard part), and he will be back to do the fixtures when we get to that phase. I recommend Peter highly! A really nice guy who is very good at his job.

I am glad we found Pete when we first moved to our house about 3 years ago. He has been responsive and professional with every job, and charges very reasonable rates. I highly recommend him. He can do large jobs but won't ignore you if you have a smaller one. I usually contact him by email.

Peter is a thorough professional, I reached him and he responded back with his availability and was upfront on time frames he would be available due to his current commitments. He had a window of opportunity in which he could make it within a shorter duration and he did make it. He was to fix a leak, which somehow had stopped leaking :). He spent a few mins to evaluate and did find the pesky leak and was able to quickly fix it, without much issue. He was thorough and has a friendly demeanor.

We had a great experience with this plumber. Peter came out the afternoon after we had our countertops in our kitchen replaced. We had purchased a new faucet that needed to be installed. He called a few times earlier in the day to coordinate when he should arrive after the other work had been completed. When I originally called him to set up the appointment, I also sent him a text message with a picture of the kitchen sink plumbing so he knew what work was needed. Peter arrived on time and started with the kitchen sink. We went from a two basin sink to a single basin. He removed the old plumbing and installed the new, which included a copper piece and another PVC piece. He also hooked up the dishwasher drainage to the pipe. He explained that the mounting of the dishwasher drainage was per the latest best way to hook this up. He also noted that we had some food residue in part of the pipe removed that he replaced. We previously had some under the sink leakage from the old faucet. Everything is now absolutely dry. He was very thorough and the drain works very well. He also partially filled the sink and drained it multiple times, letting it sit between times to make sure all the seals were intact. We also had a toilet that wobbled. After replacing our bathroom floor with tile, we had this wobble in it. I tried fixing this in the past, but it still wobbled. Peter adjusted the mounting ring, Replaced the wax seal with one that fit better, used new bolts, and then added plastic shimmies under parts of the toilet to make it fit level to the floor. He also trimmed the shimmies so you cannot notice them. It no longer wobbles. We are very pleased with his work.

I called Peter and he came out 25 minutes later to fix the leak. He changed out a bunch of fittings so this wouldn't happen again on other corroded connections. I was so appreciative of how quickly he was able to get here, and how great it looks. He was a very nice guy and did a fantastic job :-) Very fair price for the amount of time and work he put in here, I would definitely recommend him.

The quote was $200. He is very responsive and his prices are reasonable. He's always gotten it done. I've been using him for about a year.

Going better than expected.

It is not a big job and there is not much to describe about the work except the pipe was there then it was gone. But I want to say is the job is very time sensitive. Peter made time for me and didn't up charge. He is very professional and on time. Job is done within the time window and I can move on to continue the rest of the project. I have worked with Personalized Plumbing many times and always trusted the quality of work. Highly recommended.

Peter's performance was outstanding from start to finish. Following our initial meeting and review of job scope, Peter proactively visited the town plumbing inspector to discuss some of the job variables. As a result of his meeting with the inspector, he uncovered some issues that we needed to address with the town. If we had not addressed these issues when we did, then we would have been delayed in getting the permit when we were finally ready to get the work done. Peter showed up when he said he would and he finished the project in the time frame that he told us. He handled the permit process with the town as well as the scheduling of the inspection from the town plumbing inspector. The job was done on budget. As a matter of fact, Peter was the second plumber that we had called to look at this work. The other plumber was significantly higher. We were very comfortable and confident in using Peter having read all of the wonderful feedback on Angie's List. Going forward I intend to use Peter for all of my plumbing needs and I am very happy to recommend him to family and friends.

I'm very happy to have hired Peter for my basement remodel. He is polite, professional and willing to take the time to explain things in detail. His pricing was competitive and on par with other quotes that I had received. I did pull a permit for the job and his work quality was passed by the inspectors with only a few minor tweaks due to very recent city-specific code requirement changes. Peter promptly made the requested changes and the inspectors passed his rework with no issue. Peter was fantastic to work with and I would highly recommend him to friends and family as he is trust-worthy, honest and fair in his pricing while maintaining quality work. Of all the contractors I have had in and out during this basement remodel, Peter was by far the most professional and easy to work with.

I spent nearly a month trying to get a plumber to do some fairly minor work at my house. I called at least four plumbers, and none of them returned my phone calls. My fifth try was Peter Theriault, who does business as Personalized Plumbing and Heating. It was several days before he got back to me, but hey, at least he did. When we set a date/time to do the work, he showed up promptly. None of it was complicated work, so I can't really speak to Peter's technical prowess, but he did a good job. He managed to identify an incorrect valve in the line running to my fridge, an issue that had flummoxed an earlier plumber. He had a good attitude, and I thought he was fair in his pricing.

I found Peter through "Angie's List," and I hired him based on his reasonable fees and outstanding service record. Not only did Peter do a great job replacing my water heater for a very reasonable fee, but I found him to be very professional and very responsive (to emails and phone calls) throughout the entire process.

Timely call back to arrange scheduling of work. Arrived on time and completed work in professional manner and accommodated my requests for recycling and disposing of old toilet. Price paid was same as estimate.

Great overall experience. Peter came out and gave me a free estimate of the work and we discussed several options for how he might run the lines and what might work best for location. I had about 4 estimates for the work. He was right in line with 2 others (the 3rd quote was way above Peter and the others). It took me a while to get my act together and finally nail down a time that I was available for Peter to do the work. We set a date and time and he was there when he said he would be. I couldn't take the day off so I was working from home. He was very considerate of this fact and it was greatly appreciated. We had to set up another day and time for him to come back with the inspector and then finalize the sealing and touch up painting. He was again on time and walked me through his work and the location of all of the shutoffs. As I said before, it was a great overall experience. I would definitely recommend Peter and will use him again.
