Getty Remodeling & Basement Finishing

I had to reach out to the company twice to get a call back. Leonard (the owner?) said he called me back but I didn't have any voicemail on my phone. That aside, he stated he needed to visit the house to give me an accurate quote. I was perfectly fine with this. He was punctual when he arrived and spent at least 1/2 hour taking detailed measurements of the basement and attic and I walked him through what we were looking to do. He left and said he would provide us a quote. A week later I sent a follow-up email as I hadn't heard from him. No response. Several days after this I sent another follow-up email for the quote. No response. I finally get a call from an unknown number and respond with a text. Long story short it turns out it was Leonard from Getty. He provides me a swag quote for the basement in the mid 50's and asks for $1k to start the project. The quote didn't include anything such as flooring options and/or bathroom options, just a round about number which I have no clue if this is the top end the low end the middle. I ask him how much the attic is and he responds "Not sure...if you combine with the basement you'll save money." How am I supposed to budget anything with a response like that??? I reply that I'm confused, he was over my house for 1/2 hour taking detailed measurements and drawing out every inch of our basement and attic but he can't give actual quotes just a ball park number? He has yet to reply... At any rate, given the customer service we've received to date, we wouldn't move forward with this company. I personally don't recommend them if you're shopping around for quotes to perform construction work on your house.

Very well. EVeryone who came in was professional and polite. Len Getty was on site almost every day. I never had to track him down. The people he used were great. The only problem (my fault) was when I went with another flooring vendor. Len even fixed that up for me. He runs an honest business. I would be happy to work with Len Getty Remodeling again in the future.

Len was great. He took us from design to finish. We had no idea of the potential of our space until Len showed us his design ideas. The finished product is outstanding, EXACTLY like the design pictures. He was on the job himself most every single day--always accessible and responsive. The workers he brought in were competent, quick, respectful and even very helpful when we had a mishap with our porch (which was completely unrelated to this job). Len is a man of integrity and made sure we were happy every step of the renovation. Job completion was close to what was expected, approximately 2 months. Can't say enough. We plan on using Len and his company again in the future.
