Working with Brian was nothing short of a nightmare. What was supposed to take 3 weeks, took a total of 14 weeks. And it wasn't to perfection, which you would expect after 4 times the estimated project duration. Due to his errors, we had to adjust the stair height on all the stairs leading up to the attic -- and we had to do this ourselves, because we didn't dare reach out to Brian knowing he would if he responded at all, it would take him months to get to. This was just one of many issues we had to deal with following Brian's "completion" of the project. When we first started the project, Brian had a good few guys working for him on the job -- that quickly dwindled to one guy for the ENTIRE project. There is no way one guy should be framing an entire attic by himself. There were a million and one excuses as to why he didn't have a team at our house and there were a million and one excuses why they had to stop work altogether on our house throughout the project--you name the excuse, he had it. Sadly, he was a referral from another contractor we like. Our terrible experience with Brian reflects very poorly on the referrer. As a full-time working mother of four small children, including twin newborns at the time Brian started the work, this added much unneeded stress on our lives. Save yourself and get bids from other contractors.

I have been very disappointed with this contractor’s lack of performance. As Described above ,I signed a contract to do a modest kitchen renovation - some new additional cabinets and granite countertops - last August. (Your form wont allow the full dates to be entered.) The making of the cabinets (by a woodworker he recommended) took an excessive amount of time, but I excused this as beyond his control; but even when they were delivered it was several months before he came to install them. That took parts of two days and was not completed; he promised to finish the work and to install granite counters shortly thereafter. I had bought and paid for the granite. Since then nothing has been done, although I have paid him more than 2/3 of the agreed price. I have tried repeatedly to reach him by phone and email and received no response, since June. He has failed to tell me who has the granite slab he arranged for me to buy and I paid for. The little work he has done has been competent. I don’t know whether he is simply disorganized and over-committed or whether he is deliberately irresponsible and deceptive
