someone came and did all the measuring, did have to wait as faces are made to order . When doors came in they came and sanded all cabinets and added the wood refacing , new draw hardware

cabinets were refinished very nicely with laminate. However, installation needs ongoing maintenance because cabinets doors are always coming loose. Counter-top subcontracted to StoneOne in Methuen and they were great. Excellent product with fine installation and professionalism. Tile work was good.

cheryl . the sales lady was on time very helpfull she gave a good price we decided to go with affordable carpets two installers scott and jack did the installation it came out beautiful the customer service was top notch i would recommend this company to anyone

I called Affordable Carpets and spoke to Cheryl on the phone. She set an appointment to come out and show me samples. We were only available on Sunday, but this was not a problem for them. Surprisingly, Cheryl herself showed up at my house and brought samples for me to look at. She was very nice and professional and made the whole experience fun. We had two other companies come out to give us a price and although they also offered a nice product, they were almost twice the price that Cheryl was able to give us. The other two companies were very pushy attempted to get me to buy now. Needless to say, we chose Affordable Carpets and Two days later Scott and Jack came to install our new carpeting. They were very nice and knowledgeable and have been doing this type of work for over 30 years. I could not have asked for a better team because they took their time to get it just right. My new carpet looks beautiful and the price was great. The installer even left me his cell phone number in case I ever needed anything or had any problems. The next day, Cheryl called back to make sure that we were 100% happy with our beautiful carpeting. We will be calling Cheryl back next year to put new carpeting in the bedrooms. I would not hesitate to tell anyone to call Affordable Carpets because the pricing is good and the service is wonderful.

Their prices were better than most of the other places. It seems that they would be fine. They were very friendly and seemed to know their stuff. I guess the rating of the Angie?s List is also convincing.

We were absolutely delighted with our cabinet refacing experience. The owner, Shawn, came out to do our quote and measurements, and refacing the cabinets was much cheaper than replacing them. We started out with oak cabinets that were in pretty good shape, but wanted painted white cabinets. They look great! Communication with Shawn was top notch, the carpeneters who did the installation were careful and neat, and the results look as good as (maybe even better than) new cabinets. We wanted a particular color of white, and they were able to match it for us. We had tons of options: thermofoil, painted or stained wood, glass inserts, etc. There was no pressure on the sales, no nickel and diming, good communication throughout and reasonable prices. We'd highly recommend their service!

They’re wonderful! The cabinets look excellent! A++. I’d definitely use them again. He was always right on time whenever they were coming out, or if they were going to be a few minutes late, they called me. Their craftsmanship was wonderful and the whole crew was very nice. They went above and beyond if I had any issues.

My wife and I met the people from Affordable Cabinet Refacing at a home show. They were very friendly and low pressure sales. Sales person Robert Murphy came to our house on time and was helpful in deciding what to do. On May12 the work began. Scott and Jack were punctual every day and called on days they would be a little late due to picking up supplies at the shop. They cleaned up at the end of each day. They were very professional. The countertop had been replaced by Stone One a week and a half earlier so they were careful when they did their job. The only issue I have so far is not getting a response to my phone calls about a couple of items that still have to be addressed. Some doors need to be replaced due to a wrong measurement and three of the six soft close drawers do not operate properly

I contacted the company be telephone and had to leave a message. I also completed a in home estimate request on their website that included all my contact information. It's been 3 days and still haven't received a returned call.

We were extremely pleased with the work that was done. We had our cabinets refaced, new counter-tops (Quartz)installed. Two cabinets had to be resized for a new Oven/Stove. We had gotten three estimates and their price was the best. The owner Shaun did the original sales pitch and measuring. He was excellent at explaining what would be done and how long it would take. Shaun emphasizes the quality of his work and supplies and his after service if needed. Matthew did our installation with two helpers. He did very high quality work. Our new kitchen was ready in three days. They made a few suggestions for modifications to allow more light into the kitchen and we accepted them and were highly pleased with the results. There were a couple of manufacturing defects and the new doors were received in reasonable time and installed with no questions asked. Our counter top came from Stone One and they also did excellent work. They were very responsive each time we contacted them. I would recommend Affordable and Stone One to anyone.

Nice courtesy call to tell arrival time. Work was done in 2 days - clean up and quality of work were excellent. My kitchen looks beautiful.

It was great. Shawn arrived with samples of doors to choose from. They were punctual and were done in two days. I absolutely love my cabinets!

It went very well. I was a bit leary about refacing in general but I was a great candidate. With 15 yr old solid oak cabinets. I just didn't like the oak look. Now that they are done, they look like brand new, modern cabinets and essentially they are. I shopped several providers and ALL of the others were a lot more expensive and less professional. I appreciated the honest approach that Shawn and his team give. That is more my style than a pushy sales pitch. It did throw me off a bit when Chuck (sales rep) showed up to quote the job with a cup of coffee in his hand. I do in home sales as well and that is usually a standard rule in the business - to not do that. But I got past that quick. Chuck was very honest, up front, and did a good job helping me figure out what I needed and what the best fit for my kitchen was. Also did a great job meeting my budget parameters. I felt great after that meeting. Shawn showed up next and was EXCELLENT. Shawn is the owner and he did the measuring. He has an amazing honest quality about him that makes you feel very comfortable. A truly nice person and very rare in this business. If it was possible, Shawn should be in front of customers as much as possible. A real genuine guy. Not pushy at all, and that's why it works for him. Scott did my install and had a helper for most of the week. Like the rest of the team, Scott was nice, friendly, and very good at what he was doing. Minor issue but they rectified well. They showed up missing some things. they had the wrong doors and drawers and no crown molding and no hinges for the lazy suzans. So they put together what they could the first week and the company had to re-,make the correct order. Within 2 weeks, I had all of the new stuff and 1 more day for Scott to come back and finish it all with the right stuff. they did an excellent job rectifying the problem considering, although naturally it is a little frustrating when this happens. My only gripe is that they didn't bother to check the order before they loaded the truck and showed up the first day. Had they done that, they would have seen that they had the wrong stuff. An oversight that could happen to anyone and they did such a great job, that I am very happy in the end. Shawn came back after and touched up a couple minor things the day after the job finished and now all is good. I definitely would use these guys again. Great price and good people and that's what's important when doing this. You need someone who CARES and it's hard to find in this business at a reasonable price. I feel like I have a brand new modern kitchen for 1/2 or 1/3 of the price. Thanks guys!

This job went extremely well. This very personable, professional and knowledgable staff made my anxieties disappear after meeting them all and viewing the quality of their workmanship and interaction with me, the customer. My first visit was with with Chuck, who went through the work process and approach; history of the company, showing of cabinet door samples and estimation of the job. He answered any questions I had, in detail. There were no gray areas for me to have to "read through" or figure out about the process or price. A very personable and trusting guy. Second was Shawn who came and did the "measure" of my existing cabinet boxes and drawers so he could order the cabinet doors and drawer fronts. Very pleasant, down to earth, knowledable and proud of his company, his workers and the finished product they, as a team, produce. Again, very personable, professonal and knowledgable. Third was Scott, the installer, who was so meticulous and neat throughout the "3" day installation process. Never in my way, quiet and focused on his job at all times. My cabinets look awesome and he did a fabulous job, cleaning up after himself and being thoroughly organized throughout the installation. What an asset to this company Scott is! I have a "new" kitchen cabinets at about 1/3 of the cost of buying new cabinets! They look beautiful and have refreshed my kitchen more than I anticipated! One more comment on Affordable Cabinet Refacing ie 9/22/13 My fully functioning dishwasher has never worked since the installation, and one more slide out cabinet drawer never placed.

Everyone was on-time and professional. The job was done with great enthusiasm and pride.

Shawn returned my phone call right away. He is very accessible and efficient. The clean up job was spotless.

All of the members of the Affordable Cabinet team were professional and courteous. They went the extra mile to ensure that we were happy and followed through in a timely manner when they discovered that two doors and two drawers were missing from the order. Even though they had already been paid they had the additional items manufactured and delivered at no additional cost to us. I recommend them without reservation

We had a great experience with Affordable Cabinet Refacing. Chuck came to our house and estimated the cost. It was not a hard sell but he told us the benefits of going with refacing. We actually had our cabinets in another house done many years ago, so we were pretty familiar with the process. I had thought to go with wood cabinet replacements, but Chuck extolled the virtues of thermofoil cabinets. Of prime interest to us was the cost savings and the fact they are easy to take care of and clean. He also gave us an estimate for the quartz countertop and suggested that we use Stone One in Methuen, a company they work with all the time. I was hesitant at first, but in the end I was glad we went with them because they were terrific. I reviewed them under their own company name. $4250 of the cost above was for the countertop and 4" backsplash from them. We selected a date several weeks out for the installation. Sean, the owner, came and did all the measuring for the cabinets a week or two after we signed the contract. After talking to him my husband was even more confident in our choice. Stone One had been doing a great job of staying in touch with us and making sure we knew the install date for the countertop. They called the week before and the day before. Unfortunately, Affordable Cabinets did not. This is my only slight disappointment. We expected to get a call the week before just to let us know that everything was on track. We didn't. By Wednesday we called Chuck and caught him in his car. He basically said, well if we said we would be there on a certain date, we'll be there. I realize he didn't have our information on him at the time, he could have just called us back. We were disappointed because at the time of the sale he made a big point about getting in touch with him directly if we had questions. Again, this is a very small thing and doesn't change our opinion of the company. The install could not have been handled better. Alex did it and if you get him as your installer, consider yourself very lucky. He did an outstanding job. In addition to the refacing, he resized the cabinet over the oven so that we could have an over the range microwave installed. That turned out great and he installed the microwave! We also had the cabinet over the fridge replaced with a 24" one that made it usable again over our new French door fridge. A panel was added down the side so that the fridge had a more built in look. He thought of so many things that we never considered. He coped (I think that's the word) the molding so our new 'refridgerator cabinet' looked built in. He talked to us about the location of the hinges on our doors. We were so used to the way they were we hadn't considered how awkward some of them were...well they aren't anymore. I could go on and on. Fantastic work, great guy. I believe he has his own company, but does work for Sean as well. On the last day of the install (the whole thing only took 3 days), Alex realized he didn't have enough crown molding to finish the job. Sean drove up (we live in central NH, west of Concord) to deliver the molding. Great customer service. I really don't think you could go wrong with this company.

I'm writing this review to share with Angie's members the wonderful experience we had with Affordable Cabinet Refacing. I contacted Sean as well as two other contractors through Angie's List. All arrived on time and were professional and courteous. Each offered a comparable product and installation timeline. The pricing was +/- 25% of Sean's estimate and while Sean was not the cheapest his ratings, customer testimonials and guarantee led us to choose him as our contractor; not to mention his website has some great examples of his work. After we came to an agreement on price the next step in the process was measuring. That was a 1 hour appointment where each cabinet was measured in detail and the final designs and materials were confirmed. After that the materials were ordered and we had about a 4 week wait for everything to show up. The week prior to installation Sean called and confirmed the installation date and times we had previously agreed to. The following Monday Scott, the installer, arrived and began work in the kitchen. The work progressed over the course of 6 days, taking one or two longer because of the size/scope of the job. When we were finished we did one final look at the kitchen and found three items that we missed - two false drawers and one false cabinet door. These were not part of the initial scope and were only identified after the fact. Scott was very accommodating, measured the spaces and put the order in for the additional custom pieces. About four weeks later the pieces arrived, Scott came back and put the finishing touches on the kitchen. We are very happy with the kitchen, a HUGE improvement on where we started. It was great working with Sean and Scott and I would strongly recommend them if you are thinking of a refacing job big or small.

Shawn was great! He was very responsive and his staff did a great job with the installation. Everything went smoothly and my kitchen looks great! His staff also worked will with the plumber and also with the granite company for the counter tops!

The job went pretty smoothly, despite the fact they sent 2 young kids to start the job(I wasn't too pleased about that). The quality of the kids work was ok, although, quite frequently they had to do some aspects over because of inexperience of the two of them. The second day, one of the kids wasn't there, he was replaced by a professional installer, and things moved right along really well. My complaint is that one of the 2 installers put a rail on the bottom of one cabinets, and it wasn't fitted properly, now there is a bare area(exposed wood)that needs to be addressed by someone from the company(at least stained so that it doesn't show). I have spoken to a company representative about this, and left 2 messages on the installers cell phone unanswered. I would like this issue cleared up(it just bugs me to look at it, and I feel like, I've paid the total job off)so the job would be 100% complete!

The project went well. It was subbed out to a guy who does this same work for Home Depot. They estimated 3-4 days of work but it took five, which was fine. There was good attention to detail and he was good about cleaning up after every day's work. I purchased my own drawer hardware instead of using the standard knobs that he provides, which was an extra cost to me, but it was worth it for a more modern look. Would use them again.

I liked them so far and their prices are a lot cheaper than other places that I have looked at. I saw a lot of reviews on them so I chose them. They gave me the quote on the first day they came.
