A Plus Paving LLC

A Plus Paving arrived when they promised, completed the project quickly and were very professional the whole time they were there. They cleaned up afterwards and did a great job. My driveway looks great. They even had to work around m tiny dead-end street and handled that flawlessly. I highly recommend them.

Team did a great job on removing my old driveway and putting in a new one. Everyone in the neighborhood complimented how professional the work was done and how great the driveway looks. They were also super helpful in offering suggestions to improve the look of the driveway. Thanks guys!

Crew did not have enough propane ...emptied mine .... Ran out ..thus seal coat was not done well ....have called and texted this guy for over a year .... Always says he is going to fix it ..... I have never been ripped off by a workman but I guess there is always a first ....

It was early November and time was of the essence. I had gotten a few paving companies to come out and look at the job, but they all wanted me to wait until spring because they were too busy. It was hopeless and I resolved that I would have to hold off. Then Richard called me back on Friday From A-Plus and says he can come out and look at the job. He wasted no time and wrote up and estimate in the driveway. The price seemed unbelievable reasonable so I said ok. He replied I can start tomorrow and be done Monday. He was true to his word and his large crew work quickly and efficiently. I am not kidding they did this whole job in about 14 hrs. I love this company because it is all family they had tons of experience passed down for generations and just excellent group of brothers, cousins, nephews you name. Awesome job all around.

Neil came out and priced job, I decided to hire them, had an appointment today at 830am, called Neil several times and left messages. It is now 1230pm still no call or show. I called and left my last message telling them I will be going with someone else since I took today off of work to be home and they totally blew me off. At least have respect to call and cancel.?

Richard and his crew arrived around noon, and quickly went to work ripping up the old asphalt driveway, removing the old asphalt, prepping the driveway for new asphalt, with leveling, new sand and stones, and then laying down new asphalt. They were very careful in their work, working around the existing brickwork on one side of the driveway and the grass (with a sprinkler system) along the other side of the driveway. When all was prepped, they then put down the new asphalt driveway, doing a great job on it, and completing all of the work by about 5 PM. All of the crew were very professional, and performed their respective jobs very well. Overall we were very pleased with the job they provided, and would highly recommend them!

Unethical company. Josh (brother of owner Richard) gave me a written proposal, which I accepted and signed. Work was to begin on Monday, about 2 weeks hence. But on Sunday morning the day before work was to start, Richard calls me and asks to meet, which we did. Richard then repudiated the proposal his brother had done and increased the price. When I protested we had a written agreement he should honor and I had relied on that proposal, he threatened not to do the job and leave me stuck without a paver. I was desperate to have the work proceed on schedule, because it was November and the paving season was almost over, and I needed a paved driveway to get the certificate of occupancy on my new house. I needed to move in! I said we had a written proposal for the original price. He claimed he was not bound by the original proposal from his company because his brother had written it. This is of couse false according to the law. If a company sends someone to price a job and that compay representative does a proposal that the customer accepts, then the business is bound by the actions of its representative. But I was stuck. I needed paving now. I reluctantly signed the new proposal at the higher price. However, after he left I came to my senses started calling other pavers, even though it was Sunday. Fortunately, I got one, made an agreement with him and called Richard up and cancelled A Plus. The bait and switch, coercive, good cop/bad cop tactics used by A Plus are a really bad omen of how the rest of the job might have gone! In addition, Josh had committed in the written proposal to put the top coat on in the Spring at a certain price, plus or minus only a price adjustment for any change in asphalt material prices between now and when the work would be done. Richard disclaimed any obligation to honor that price either and refused to say anything about the top coat price in the Spring at this time. How did he justify dishonoring the original prices? He claimed there was more paving and more gravel needed than his brother figured. False. There was no change in the scope of work or the job conditions and the original proposal was only 11 days old. If his brother made an estimating error, the company still should have stood behind its written proposal. And I checked the measurements. There was no error. This was just blatant bait-and-switch bully tactics, because he thought he had me over a barrel. He even talked about how hard it would be to get someone else so late in the season and how prices for asphalt go up soon. Home Advisor should do something about this guy!

Richard and his crew were great. The quote was more reasonable than the other companies that came out, but that is not the only reason I chose them. He gave me a quote the day I called, was very responsive and took all my calls, and the job was done that week! He is a no nonsense hard working guy that is easy to work with.

They responded quickly and gave a fair price. They had state of the art equipment and8 guys. Ver efficient and polite.

The guy was friendly, and came out right away. The job came out well.

Richie was easygoing and I found the estimate to be very well priced. The work was completed in one day, as he had a good size crew with him. The driveway looks good and I am pleased overall with the whole experience, but when he ripped up my old driveway he exposed tree roots on the side of the driveway and I was left to deal with them. Also, never having done this before, I had no idea that both sides of my driveway would be left with ripped up grass, gravel and dirt. Again, I was left to deal with these landscape issues. I would use A Plus again, but I would definitely be sure to discuss all possible issues that may arise because I was caught off guard with the amount of work that I was forced to do once his crew was finished.

They did fine,came in on the price they said. They did what they said they would and cleaned up good. No trouble at all. I would use them again. I recommend them, they are very good !

It went very well. A Plus repaved the driveway and it has been excellent for two years.
