Description of Work: A stove burner had not been lighting consistently when the igniter was turned on on a gas stove. I had someone else come who was not successful as is often the case with intermittent problems. However, the owner of "Mind over Matter" was able to figure it out through persistence and knowledge. The burner has functioned appropriately since his visit. In addition, I was having difficulty with my refrigerator; my freezer drawer was not closing tightly enough and the vegetable bins were too cold and freezing some of the vegetables. The problem had several origins and the owner of "Mind over Matter" was able to figure them out and make some modifications in the tilt of the freezer drawer and in the seal. The problems have been resolved to my satisfaction. In addition, he educated me about strategies to keep these problems from happening again. I was very please. He spent several hours so the cost was a little higher than expected but the problem was solved.

+ -1 moreWe arrived at our friends' house who were away for the summer. We plugged in the refrigerator which seemed to work (light went on, fan made noises). We bought all kinds of food to stock up only to realize it was not cooling. We called another company's number that was inside the fridge. The earliest they could come was a week and a half later. the next day a neighbor recommended Stuart and we were able to reach him even though it was Sunday. Monday morning he came to look at it, ordered a part and had it working again by Thursday evening, the day the part arrived. The only slight disappointment was that he had estimated the cost of part and labor a bit low so it was not $150 but $180 we had to pay. He was charming and good looking into the bargain.
Description of Work: Replaced a part in a refrigerator so that it again began cooling. "a failed start relay" the bill says.
