HONDROGEN DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION

John did a major remodel of the kitchen, dining room, and living room area of my house that included an addition about two years ago. When I was planning for a second major remodel of the bedrooms, bathrooms and finished basement, there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted John to be the designer and contractor of the project. From beginning to end, John inspires trust and confidence and fully lives up to these qualities. His design work was on target in translating and enhancing my vision. His construction work is flawless. He doesn't settle for less than the highest quality work.His budgets and timelines are realistic, accurate, and fair - there are no surprises or miscalculations. I can't say enough about the positive experiences I have had in working with John. You will not find a more talented, dedicated, and professional designer and contractor.

I was quite nervous at the beginning. The basic plan was done by a friend who is an architect, but he wasn't going to be involved in the actual project. I also knew almost nothing about houses, construction, and design. John helped me every step of the way from figuring out how to make changes to save on the overall cost, and picking out plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, cabinets, and paint colors. Working with him not only eased my fears, but his explanations, support, and design sense helped me enjoy and feel confident about the project. The work took a few weeks longer than expected, but cost less than estimated. There was a tiny bit of miscommunication and a few little things missed or done differently than I expected, but John took care of anything that I mentioned. I was also quite happy with all the subcontractors that he hired. John also went with me to the cabinet maker and helped me figure out what to choose.

We were very pleased with the final product. John was always on the job site overseeing every detail. We never had to worry that corners were being cut. Every detail on our house was competed to the highest standards as if John was building his own house. We always felt John was looking out for our best interests and wasn't just rushing through the building process to get to the next project. Since he only works on one house at a time all his attention was on the current house building project and we never had to wonder, "Where is our builder today?"
