Derek was great. Had to accommodate schedule changes due to bad weather. He was prompt, did a great job, and gave us plenty of extra keys. Extremely happy with his work.

Fine. Locksmith was competent and kind.

Derek was prompt, friendly and efficient. He went beyond the letter of the job, making adjustments to doors, explaining details, leaving five new keys for our use. Answered many questions about area and was just generally a pleasure to have at the house working.

Derek was excellent. He responded very quickly to my voicemail requesting service. Scheduling was easy. He stayed in touch and showed up on time (a bit early, actually--and he called to let me know and confirm it would be ok). He was friendly, got to work right away, got the job done right. Discussed the job over the phone. Scheduled the appointment, he came on time, did the job, cleaned up after himself and we are very happy!

Derek was very prompt in getting to us and coming to the house to look the situation over. He had choices of lock types in his truck so we could see some of the various colors. Because our situation was a little tricky with rekeying and replacing with only one key to unlock everything, Derek needed to see what the best choices were. He texted us some pictures of the choices he thought would work best along with 3 estimates. Once we made the selection, he was there within a week to replace them all. He made sure all the doors opened and closed smoothly, adjusting the strikeplates as needed. Great job and his estimate on the installation time was just right. Also, he was running a promotion for his 25th business anniversary where you only needed to congratulate him on his anniversary and he gave a 15% discount. So, I feel we got a very fair price for all the work, and Derek was friendly, courteous and very professional. His ratings are all 4 and 5 stars which prompted us to contact him in the first place, and he gets another 5 star rating from us!

He was friendly and efficient. He met us at the house at the exact designated time and performed his duties promptly. We were very pleased with his services and would use him again without question.

Service was excellent. Derek came in and was able to rekey all four entrances in about an hour. This included knobs and deadbolts. He gave us service options that saved us a lot of money. Will definitely recommend this company to another homeowner.

Derek at Amherst Lockworks goes above and beyond when it comes to service. I had a number of older, corroded and worn out door knobs, and he replaced them all with rock solid installations, even caulking up and reinforcing the degraded wood around a gouged out strikeplate. EDIT 9/20/14 and ndash; I should also add he fixed a wobbly older knob another locksmith declared "unfixable". It works like new now. He's prompt, courteous and professional. I highly recommend him.

Derek arrived on time and was very professional - got to work right away and was able to fix my out-of-date deadbolt lock/doorknob which now works as well as when I had it installed. No one can get in now! (without the key, that is!) He did a great job and I have his card in case I need him again for some other job. I would gladly use him again.

We called him at 11:00 and he said he would be over by 3:00. He arrived just before 3:00 and had the job done quickly and efficiently.

Derek Lauder of Amherst Lockworks was prompt for our meetings, easy to work with, responsive to my expressed wants, and suggested a less expensive but feasible alternative to the plan I had in mind. We had only one meeting. When I could not be present again soon, I arranged for him to come to the newly purchased house while I was away, and he completed the job in a fully satisfactory way. The cost was neither a bargain nor excessive. Above all that he is amiable. I would use his services again.

All the keys work. He's a quiet, hardworking locksmith who didn't push expensive things on us--just a sturdy deadbolt lock and handset lock that do the job. He lives near Amherst, so that was a plus since we like to use local, trustworthy people.
