I'm very pleased with the home inspection run by Romano Home Inspection. I'm a first-time-homebuyer and am in the process of buying a 1700's era timber frame house, and I chose Romano because of the experience in these sort of houses (it's advertised on the website). There were plenty of observations as one would expect with a 300-year old house, and he took his time so I could absorb all the info. I think I'll be able to save thousands of dollars by taking care of the most important issues early on, instead of waiting until they become emergencies. Extremely satisfied, worth every penny. I agree there isn't much advertising, but when you are good you don't need to advertise. Thanks

John did an excellent job. He was very thorough and professional. I highly recommend his services. He took the time to walk me through everything as he went along pointing out specific areas of concern and offering tips for remediation. The house in question is in need of quite a bit of work but John helped me to evaluate the "bones" of the house which allowed me to determine that it was a good purchase. I was able to use this information to get the seller to agree to specific repairs that need to occur before the purchase and sale agreement can be signed. Kudus to John and thank you very much. -- Alex

We hired him to perform a home inspection prior to purchase of a home. In spite of frequent heavy snow storms in the area, we were able to schedule him w/in two weeks of our offer being accepted. We were extremely concerned about potential maintenance issues, the age of the home, previous flood issues if any, and safety. He highlighted all of those areas for us. The written report was turned around in less than a week. The written report was and quot;reader friendlyand quot; and we understood everything that was needed from the pictures provided (we were not present during inspection). I would definitely hire him again, especially as a buyer who wants to know everything disclosed up front.

We used John 8 years ago when we moved into our current home, and he did an excellent job then and so when it came time to move again, we immediately decide to use him again. He ended up having to do two inspections for us, as the first home ended up being full of *very* expensive issues, for which the seller would not help remediate. The first inspection covered both the main house and an inlaw apartment and John took over 4 hours to finish the full inspection. He not only reviewed all of the important aspects of the house, he also took pictures of everything. His final report is full of some copy an paste type of good information about things like roofs, heating, plumbing, etc. as well as detailed hand written information about the issues and findings, along with pictures. Our second inspection went a *lot* better, with all the same great detail as the first one, but *far* more minor issues. We move in a month. John is without a doubt the best home inspector I'm aware of.

It went very well. I thought he was very knowledgable and professional. He stayed and answered all of my questions. He did the home inspection and invited me to go along with him and he would explain things along the way. I thought this was very helpful for my needs. I thought he did a thorough job. I thought he was professional and I felt comfortable with him in my home. I would recommend him.

His name was John Romano. It was great and he was fantastic. He saw everything. He found all sorts of stuff and his report was incredibly detailed. Our agent said it was twice as long as most reports usually are. It had all kinds of information. His price was a little higher but it was definitely not a place that we wanted to skimp. We definitely got our money's worth. His responsiveness was very good. He would return calls instantly and he followed up the next day. He got to the inspection before we did. We used him twice to inspect both places that we came close to buying. We would definitely use him again if we weren't planning to stay in the place for a long, long time.

The best I have encountered in 45+ years of buying houses. Very thorough, and explained very well what was wrong, and how it might be fixed. He climbed on the roof which is rare for a home inspector.
