Even better than expected. After the fantastic work Mainstream did with our oil to gas conversion and boiler replacement, there was no question who we would call for this much smaller job. We moved in in November and the water to our outside spigot was turned off, but it turns out the pipe was not properly drained and the residual water froze and broke the pipe. I contacted Brenda and she had someone to our house within a few days. Anthony was on time, friendly and like others we've dealt with at Mainstream, he took the time to explain the cause of the problem, the repair process and the variables that might make the job harder. Anthony came back less than a week later to perform the fix. Luckily for us it was pretty straight forward and the bill actually came in under the best case scenario estimate. Anthony did not do work for us previously, but he was similarly professional, friendly and expert in his craft to the previous technicians we've worked with at Mainstream. Among the highlights for us included that Anthony was careful to protect our wood floor from water, explained everything as he went, showed me how to prevent the same problem in the future, and then cleaned up completely. Given that my prior experience with Mainstream was a major job, I was not sure how a small job would go, but I could not be more pleased.

The person who came was very nice. He was very personable and helpful. He wouldn?t work on anything until he knew he had permit to do it because I was a renter there. He took permission from the owner. He did a very good job. He was good. It was a good experience for me. Their price was average. I would call them again if I have a problem. I would use them in the future.

Excellent. From the first visit for the estimate to the follow up visit after the job, Mainstream was fantastic. I really cannot say enough about the professionalism, quality of work and responsiveness from the Mainstream team, including Eric (the owner), Brenda (general manager and office manager) and Josh (lead installer). Eric came to our house to look at our setup and provide an estimate. I don't know much about heating systems and ended up with a lot of questions during the weeks following Eric's visit. Although I had not yet hired Mainstream, Eric responded within hours (and sometimes sooner) to all of my questions and provided a revised estimate within a day of my decision to change the scope of the project. We live in a city row house where there is not a lot of space and our basement is tiny. Several other companies expressed concerns over the size of our basement, how things would fit, how they would load and unload equipment, etc. Eric never mentioned any concerns about our space, nor did Josh. I received five estimates for the job. Mainstream's was not the lowest, but very competitive and nowhere near the highest. Given how close the estimates were, there was no question in my mind about picking Mainstream given how responsive and professional everyone one was during the estimate/follow up phase. Once we decided to go with Mainstream, Brenda was in touch immediately to schedule the work and answer all of my questions and concerns. Josh and the other installer (sorry, I forgot his name) showed up exactly on time day one, answered all my questions and were basically self-sufficient. Despite the delivery truck not bringing the correct parts, the guys adjusted and completed the job exactly on schedule and exactly on budget. In addition to staying on schedule and budget, Mainstream also took care of every aspect of the job, all the way down to Brenda filling out the rebate forms for some of the equipment. Other companies asked me to arrange for removal of some of the old equipment - trying to schedule different people to be there at the right times would have been time consuming and potentially stressful, so I was quite happy to put everything in Mainstream's hands and everything came off without a hitch.

We liked them a lot. The person we dealt with was very professional and he informed us about everything we needed to get done. He informed us about everything we needed to get done and why different boilers would be preferable than other boilers. He was just extremely thorough, very, very nice and open to talk to. The price he quoted was $10,000 to $12,000 and the quality while giving us the quote was very good. He worked very hard.

We were very happy with their service, professionalism and overall response. All the technicians were polite and explained clearly the issue and the work.

My husband and I found Eric, the owner, to be by far the most knowledgeable person that we spoke with when we were getting estimates. He had good recommendations for our particular house - on the spot -- and was able to answer any questions that we had. (Some companies took over a week to get back to us with a quote; not Main Stream.) Brenda, the office manager, was also very helpful in organizing all the papers in advance. We were referred to this company by National Grid. (National Grid has a long list of providers who have been pre-approved by them. Note: Main Stream was not the only company we were referred to by National Grid -- but they were the best.) The work took a total of three days, and they returned two days later to "check up" on the system to make sure it was working perfectly. Anthony and his team of installers were excellent as well. We felt they were very trustworthy and respectful of our home/property, privacy, etc. We will definitely be recommending this company to any of our friends/neighbors who are looking for a great Heating/AC work! They stand by their work and have a great warranty program.

We had used Mainstream as our indirect hot water heater was not working appropriately. Eric then took the time to show me on my old boiler where there was blowback and other issues effecting the performance of my heating system. At this time he indicated I should start saving for a new system. I then found out about the Mass Save program here in Mass that allowed me to get a interest free loan for a new heating system. I then went to 3 different Angies list approved firms to provisde a quote and Eric's was in the middle. My home is a large old house that p[resented some unique challenges. For example, the night that my old boiler was removed and installation had begun buit not completed on my new one the pipes froze. Eric's team worked hard to try to unfreeze the pipes but eventually had to isolate that area of pipe and therefore were able to turn the heat on everywhere else. They then came back a couple of weeks later once it was warmer to then include the zone that had been frozen. All in all I had a good experience, there were a few hiccups along the way but nothing that was the fault of Mainstream and nothing they did not work hard to resolve. I have already recommende Mainstream and will continuie to do so in the future.

I have central air filtration and humidification unit. I also need a bigger hot water heater. He explained everything about the products. I wanted something that shut down if there was any leaks present. They had the old oil tank removed for me with a sub contractor. They were very polite and clean. They did the job they said they would do and called when they were being late or running behind. When there was damage done by the sub contractor they offer to take off money for the final bill to repair the damage.
