 + -1 moreInstead of responding with a more definite time, I received an email from Mr. Hernandez that stated his company stopped taking new customers on "about a week or so ago" and so they could not take me on as a new customer. I fully understand that things come up at the last minute that warrant last minute cancellations, but the company should have contacted me "a week or so ago" to let me know that they were no longer available. Contacting a customer like this at the last minute is extremely disruptive to the customer's schedule. (I had to rearrange my work schedule in order to ensure that I would get home in time for the in house estimate appointment). Suffice to say, Angie's List customers should not contact this company, because the company no longer has availability for new customers (my condo is only 1052 square feet; 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. So, If the company doesn't have the capacity to clean that, then they certainly can't take on a house!)
Description of Work: On October 25, 2007, I filled out the company's on line form to request a free in home estimate. On October 26, 2007, I received an email from Jeff Hernandez offering me 7 available times for the home estimate. That same day (October 26, 2007). I responded back to him and told him that I had selected the November 13, 2007 6-7pm time slot that he had offered in his email for the home estimate. I received a confirmation email on October 26, 2007 from Mr. Hernandez stating, "Great. I ve scheduled you in for a free in-home estimate on Nov. 13th, arriving sometime between 6pm and 7pm. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact me as soon as possible. Thank you!" I then sent him an email on the morning of November 13, 2007 to confirm that someone from his company would still be coming for the 6-7pm appointment and asked him if he could give me a more concrete time for when the person would be arriving (i.e. I wanted to know if it would be closer to 6pm or closer to 7pm).

The first cleaning was very thorough; every surface in the house, all knick-knacks dusted. Subsequent cleanings are keeping our house in top shape. Plus, I no longer have to worry about chemicals in my home.

They are reliable, and usually, one of them speaks English. Their pricing is fair, considering that Boston is an expensive place. I like that they use non-toxic cleaning products, which is the reason I picked them.
Description of Work: Three people came and cleaned the kitchen and 2 bathrooms in my 6,000 square foot home. They dusted, vacuumed. and mopped. The work took one and a half hours. They send someone regularly.

Your house doesn't end up smelling like Lysol. A family run company that makes sure that they don't overextend themselves, so that they can continue to offer good work. I have used them for 2 months and they have always been responsive to suggestions.
Description of Work: Housecleaning. One initial cleaning for $240 and then $125 every other week following.

Description of Work: AA Environmental Cleaning cleaned our home from top to bottom after we purchased it. They came on the fourth of July weekend and spent the entire day doing the initial home cleaning in our approximately 2000 square foot home. They cleaned the floors, walls, windows, bathrooms, bedrooms and corners.

 + -1 moreIncredible. Jeff was very flexible in scheduling a time to assess the house and quote a price. The first cleaning was amazing, and we've been happy with the bi-weekly cleaning ever since. The ashes are even cleaned out of the fireplace! I have extremely high expectations of keeping a clean house, and Jeff's team exceeds them every two weeks. It's so pleasant to walk into the house and know that everything is spotless after they've cleaned. Plus, there's the added benefit that they use environmentally-safe cleaners. We're very, very pleased.
Description of Work: One initial cleaning of the entire house (4BR, 1.5 baths) (a bit more expensive, but used coupon), and then bi-weekly cleaning of the entire house. Price quoted above is for every bi-weekly cleaning.

 + -1 moreJeff Hernandez contacted me soon after I sent him an e-mail requesting an estimate. He came to our condo a few days later to give us the estimate. We agreed on the job and price, so we set up a time for the crew to come. I was impressed with how professional, friendly, and organized Mr. Hernandez and his crew were. They were so thorough - I've never seen our place so clean! It's great to have a clean house, but it's even better that they use environmentally-friendly cleaning solutions - there's no strong chemical smell, which I appreciate.
Description of Work: The company did a thorough cleaning of our condo. They scrubbed the kitchen and bathroom, washed windows, cleaned floors, vacuumed rugs and furniture, dusted furniture, removed cobwebs. They come back once per week to clean our condo. As a separate project for our condo association, they thoroughly cleaned our back stairway and the common area in the basement (which hadn't been cleaned in at least five years). They used only environmentally-friendly cleaning solutions.

 + -1 moreOverall, things went very well. Jeff arrived promptly for the in-home estimate. After that, we worked through details and scheduling over e-mail, and he was very quick to respond and give me all the details I needed.
Description of Work: AA Environmentally Safe Cleaning visited our home to do its first cleaning, and we are thrilled with the outcome. Being a first visit, we were told this would be a very thorough cleaning, and it was! They cleaned our entire 2-bedroom condo, including things like the inside of our 'fridge, the inside of our oven, and things I never thought I'd see clean were sparkling. A spot on our wall near the trash was gone (it's been there for years), and the burners on our stove look clean enough to eat off of. The entire place looked great. The extra bonus was knowing the house could be this clean with environmentally safe products.

The next time, they left my door unlocked! Jeff tried to be responsive to my concerns, but the next cleaning after I called was just horrible. I'm no longer using them.

Description of Work: We were looking for a cleaning service and found AA on Angie's List with favoral ratings. When I called, they were very responsive and personable. At the estimate visit, Jeff was very thorough and detailed. At the visit we scheduled the first cleaning within a week. On the first cleaning day, we left the house in the morning and walked home to "new" house. We were extremely happy with the service and continue to use AA for regular cleanings.

 + -1 moreVery professional gentleman came to give an estimate. Followed a checklist to determine the price, $250 for the initial deep cleaning, and 145 per month thereafter. I was favorably impressed with this company. I ended up choosing a different cleaning company, however, mostly because their scheduling did not seem flexible enough for me. I work fulltime and need to have cleaning appointments be at a precise time (e.g., later afternoon when I come home from work). They prefer to have a window of time during which the cleaning team can show up (e.g. between noon and 4pm). Also, some things that they considered "extra`s" (e.g., cleaning inside refrigerator).
Description of Work: Provided an estimate for regular monthly housecleaning of our 3BR, 3BA condo.

Description of Work: I hired AA to to clean my house once a week after a consult with Jeff and after seeing the results of the initial cleaning visit. Two of his workers did an amazing job scrubbing my 1100 square foot house. They spent hours and their attention to detail was amazing. I also did not feel that my clutter was just moved around - things were cleaned and put away in a way that made more sense.

 + -1 moreJeff returned my call promptly and came by within a day or two to give me an estimate. I liked him a lot, but decided his company was not what I was looking for. I prefer to have the same person clean my house each week, but that is not possible with this company, which sends crews of 2 to 5 people each time. As Jeff said, workers do leave the company, so though they will have the same people for a while, there is inevitably some turnover. I must say, I really like the fact that Jeff uses email with his customers, so that even though the crew may not be English-speaking, any requests can be clearly communicated via email to Jeff and then by him to the crew. Still, they were not quite what I was looking for. Plus, I thought the estimate was a bit high - $280 for the initial cleaning of my 1800 square foot house, plus $95/week, or $80 each time if twice a week. I ended up hiring an individual cleaner who was more reasonably priced.
Description of Work: I got an estimate for a big initial housecleaning (my house was a mess) and then for weekly or twice-weekly cleaning.

They did a remarkable initial cleaning and continue to do great. I must disagree with another report about their prices being too high. I think they are extremely reasonable for the quality you get. I have had several other cleaners who cost both less and more and never received better service.

I included the stove and refrigerator ($10 each extra) and got the Angie's List discount. My first reaction was that the price was high especially when he said its basically dusting and vacuuming. Jeff was able to accommodate my time frame, and the work was done while I was away. When I came home I was very surprised to find the living room shades unclean - I guess I had a misunderstanding with Jeff - I took them down to be cleaned, and he must have thought I said don't clean them. Overall, the house was clean. It was the first time for me so I didn't know what to expect.
Description of Work: This company cleaned (dusted, vacuumed, washed, and mopped) my five room townhouse including the cellar floor and one and a half bathrooms. Made the beds including mattress covers Cleaned the stove and oven. Wiped out the refrigerator. Emptied the wastepaper baskets. Washed the inside of some windows. Scrubbed the bathtub, shower, and sinks.

 + -1 moreWe have a toddler who still naps during the day and we work strange hours, but Jeff has been very flexible in scheduling the cleanings. He is easy to reach by e-mail and even accepts online credit card payments through PayPal.
Description of Work: We hired AA to clean our 1500 sf house once a month. They performed an ''initial'' cleaning that cost about $450 and took three cleaners most of the day. This included cleaning the oven and the inside of the refrigerator. We were delighted with it. They come back every four weeks to do the $125 ''maintenance'' cleaning, which are done within two hours, and we have been satisfied with those as well.
