AA ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE CLEANING

We have used this company for many yrs to clean our home. They come every 2 weeks, though they can come wkly, or for occasional deep cleanings as well. I have used many others in the past, but have found AA environmentally clean service to be outstanding. The customer support from Elizabeth is incredible. She is always quick to answer emails and works hard to be sure that you are satisfied with the service. It is great to come home to a beautifully clean house that doesn't smell like chemicals!

AA Environmentally Friendly Cleaning service has been cleaning my house for several years. They are courteous, responsive to my requests, and thorough in their work. They have a team of people who arrive, work efficiently, and then leave the house smelling fresh, and looking great. I am very satisfied with their work.

After a hiccup in the beginning (see other comments) I am 100% thrilled with this company. I've had 3 cleanings now and it is so nice to come home to a clean house. I still do some cleaning in between (only getting a monthly cleaning at this time) but AA really makes the house sparkle after they are there. Communication is very responsive through email. As long as you are comfortable communicating this way you should have no issues. Thanks AA!

I didn't hear back from them for several days, so I tried contacting them through the website again. Several days later I received an email from Teresa explaining that they had been having trouble with their email system (something about new messages being filtered to trash). She stated they had a waitlist for my neighborhood but might have an opening in the near future due to a client moving. She offered to set up an estimate. I replied, and even though I didn't want to wait another month longer for cleaning service I decided I would get their estimate and see how things go, especially because there are not many other companies that offer green cleaning and they had some good reviews. After several emails back and forth with Elizabeth I was able to set up a time for an estimate. I took time off from work to be home for the extimate. No one showed up. I called them and left a message - no answer. I waited about 30 min, and then tried calling them again - no answer. After an hour I sent an email to Elizabeth. She wrote back within minutes (too bad she can't ever answer the phone, though) stating that they hadn't received confirmation of my appointment, even though I had indeed emailed them and had a copy of the email. She added that I then would have received a second confirmation email from them - how was I to know that? I had confirmed, and it was their mistake for not managing their communication systems properly. Elizabeth then called me right away to discuss the appointment, giving numerous excuses but ultimately apologizing for their mistake. She explained that they don't answer the phone because they get too many calls. She offered to reschedule but I declined - after countless emails, unanswered phone calls, weeks of waiting, and taking time off from work for nothing, I was not about to go through that cycle again. I was left with very little faith that they would actually show up. To add insult to injury, Elizabeth then sent another email indicating that I had declined the estimate, when in fact they never showed up to the appointment that morning. I hope they improve their communication system....one shouldn't have to go through SO many emails and "confirmations" just to set up an appointment. I've worked with other contractors and usually an estimage can be scheduled within one phone call. Also, if they continue with the current email "confirmation" system, it needs to be made much more clear to their clients, and there should also be a reliable way for clients to reach them by phone! The contact with them was time consuming and frustrating.

I was on a two month waiting list due to her being loyal to her existing customers. This in turn pushed my scheduled time back and she actually even cancelled and rescheduled twice in order to help her other existing customers which was unfair to me. She was very nice about it but it didn’t help get my home cleaned any faster.

I was extremely interested in finding a service provider that utilized environmentally friendly products since I have two dogs and an infant, as well as in consideration for the environment as a whole. I came across AAESC online and filled out a request form. I received a quick response saying that there was a wait list for now. I then joined Angie's List to try to look for other options. I had a difficult finding another company that seemed to fit what I was looking for. I sent a second request to AAESC to understand what time frame they were looking at on the wait list, and to my delight, they were about to have an opening in my area due to a client moving. I emailed back and forth with both Elizabeth and Teresa. Both were very responsive, and even, before agreeing to become a client, Elizabeth apologized for not returning an email to me more promptly, saying that their primary focus is current clients, which makes sense to me (and quite honestly, I didn't think there was really a delay in her response!). As I work full time, my mother-in-law was at our home when Elizabeth came out for the walk thru to give us an estimate. My mother-in-law couldn't say enough nice things regarding Elizabeth's professionalism and how thorough she was in walking through everything that they would and would not do to ensure clarity. After the walk thru I quickly heard from Elizabeth to discuss any outstanding questions, and she was very flexible with a time to discuss the walk thru and additional questions I had. I liked how professional she was, but that she also had a warmth to her that made me comfortable. After our conversation, we received the quote a couple of days later and accepted. The initial price was $190 with bi-weekly cleanings at $120. Although this was slightly higher than the services some of my friends receive, it was worth the extra money for me to know that my daughter and dogs wouldn't be exposed to harsh chemicals. We set the date for the initial cleaning for asap. Again, it was my mother-in-law at the house for the initial cleaning. She said the team was very pleasent, efficient and professional. I came home and, being a full time mom and having a full time job, could not have been more releived to see a spotless house that I didn't have to spend my limited free time concerning myself with cleaning. My overall satisfaction was quite high, but I did have a couple of minor questions/requests, and Elizabeth was very quick to respond that these items would be communicated to the team and addressed in the future. My regular cleanings begin next week, and I am anticipating continued happiness and satisfaction, and would definitely recommend AAESC based on my experience thus far.

03/01/11-- I began an email correspondence inquiring about the company's services. I filled out a form at some point near or on that date. 03/02/11-- I received word that they had a waitlist; an opening probably would occur at the end of March. 03/17/11-- AA wrote that they would like to schedule a walk-through for the 18th. Unfortunately I missed that email among the plethora of political and advertising emails. 03/31/11-- I saw the email of the 17th when trashing mail and wrote apologising. 03/ 31/11-- AA said they'd see if the spot was still available. 04/08/11-- I wrote asking to hear, apologising again for missing the email of the 17th. 04/11/11--AA apologised for the delay; they might have a new spot; walk-through set for 04/14/11. 04/14/11--Walk-through ocurred. No estimate was given, to my surprise. In the interval here I must have phoned asking for an estimate--I find no email in this interval.. 04/26/11--AA wrote that without an opening to offer they don't give estimates, but actually they did at the end of the letter. "For comparison" they said. I wasn't looking for comparison. I was wondering if I could afford them. They send three people to the job and that seemed excessive for a small condo. I made clear that I didn't need my bed made or changed or trash removed. They dangled openings several times and then they weren't available. I felt strung along for weeks. I've never had an experience like this, which is why it seemed non-business-like, not professional. All of Angie's people that I've hired give an estimate. I could accept it or not. I've never had it withheld.

After an initial communication mishap resulting in an unfavorable review, AA contacted us and has been very responsive. Today was our first scheduled cleaning and we are very pleased with the results. We especially like that the cleaning products are all natural!

They responded via email very quickly after I filled out their on-line form. They set up an appt. fairly soon after that and came on time. The woman (Elizabeth) who came was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about their services and how they function as a company. She spent a good amount of time going through my home to be sure that she could get me the most reliable estimate. She listened well and was very honest about what they can and cannot do. They haven't gotten back to me yet with a price, and I'm not certain yet if we will hire them as we are deciding between a couple of housecleaning services, but my initial experience with them was very positive.

I met with Elizabeth about a year ago and felt comfortable immediately about hiring this cleaning service. I have been very impressed by the high level of professional performance I have experiended during the past year. These folks, who work together as a team, are punctual, responsible, trustworthy, and lovely to deal with. They have been responsive to changing situations, communicate in a timely manner, and work very hard to make this a very pleasant experience for the homeowner. So much so that I look forward to their monthly visits. I highly recommend this service.

They sound very fancy. They want you to go their website and fill out a form and they will get back to you and then book an appointment in about 2-4 weeks. My expression was they might be very expensive.

The first visit was amazing. Elizabeth told us they would do a very thorough cleaning on their first visit and she was right. They even organized the inside of our refrigerator. The house was always immaculate when we arrived home from work. We have plantation shutters on 5 windows and all of the slats were cleaned. The furniture and carpets were always completely free of cat fur and that is a job in itself. The crew was always polite and friendly and aware that our cats were not allowed outside. Elizabeth was always available by e-mail and responded to any request we had. Do: Always let Elizabeth know if you have any special requests such as areas that need extra attention or if you have special products that you would like the team to use. Don't: Expect them to be mind readers. If you want something just ask. A great service at a reasonable price. Highly recommended

We have been incredibly satisfied. They have come twice. Their cleaners are very detail oriented. The place always looks fantastic. Nothing is out of place. Everything is where we left it but cleaner. We have been very happy with them. There has been great customer service from the owners. They are incredibly responsive and easy to work with. I don't have experience with other cleaning companies but from my perspective they do a great job.

I'm so irritated with their lack of responsiveness. A simple, "we're completely overloaded and won't be able schedule anything until the New Year" would have been sufficient. Instead, after initially contacting them on December 1 and being informed by email that they would be in touch shortly, I didn't receive another note until we reached out to them on December 16. At that point, we received the following note: ""Thank you for your interest in our services and sorry for the extremely long delay in answering you. We do take care of all our current client requests before we answer any other questions or inquiries. We do hope that you can understand and appreciate this. We have had an extremely busy holiday season, but will get back to you later today with more details." It is not December 30 and I haven't received ANYTHING. This is beyond frustrating. I wanted to give these folks a chance but they are obviously a victim of their own success. It's too bad.

A has been wonderful. I've been using them for over a year. They were prompt in responding to my initial inquiry, in providing an estimate, and in getting me into their schedule. They are very accessible, responsive to feedback or any changes in schedule, and professional. My home looks beautiful, and I feel they are incredibly respectful of my home and belongings. I appreciate the quality of their work, their use of environmentally friendly products, and the quality of their customer service.

The do a great job responding promptly and do exactly what they say they will do. We have been using them since August and have been pleased with their punctuality and attention to detail. While they are on the higher side in terms of price, I think they are worth it.

It took a few weeks/at least a month I believe to finally get into their cleaning rotation. The staff was very responsive to my e-mail inquiries during that time. After that initial cleaning they came every 2 weeks as expected and we had no problems during that time (aside from one of our cats not wanting to be re-sequestered after they cleaned the office). I really appreciate that they were respectful of our pets and our property. I'd heard horror stories from friends who'd had other cleaning companies in their home and had had items broken and then hidden. Not AAESC. We never had any problems! Thank you for being a hard-working, well-run establishment. We home to work with you again soon.

We have been working with AA Environmentally Safe Cleaning for a few months now and I have waited to submit a report to accurately report on their consistency. They have exceeded our expectations in this regard and always leave our home impeccably clean. The crew is very thorough, efficient, hard-working, and friendly. There has been no deterioration of the quality of work as the crew has become more familiar with the home. They are also quite careful with fragile items in the house, avoiding those that we would rather clean ourselves and cleaning our antique carpets with extra care and attention. In this regard, we are also comforted by their use of 'green' cleaning products.The management is also very responsive to any questions and proactive in their oversight and training of the cleaning crews. We also appreciate that the same crew comes to the house for every cleaning, so we have been able to establish a level of trust and rapport which is critical when we are not always at home to supervise.They are by far the best cleaning company we have employed in Boston. We are thrilled to have found AA cleaning and would highly recommend their work.

I am not going to tell the story of 4 years and counting of bi-monthly service. I also can't tell you how much money I've spent on it in these 4 years, and it wouldn't mean anything anyway. In order to submit this report I'm going to enter the meaningless (because dependent on square footage and number of rooms) price per visit of AA's service. This form makes it impossible to enter the actual service dates. You need to be flexible enough in your software that people can more easily report on services that aren't one-time-only.

They responded to me within 24 hours of me emailing them from Angie's List and told me while they were booked with regular clients now, a Back Bay client was selling their condo and moving to the burbs in the next few weeks so a slot would open up. They came in to look at the place, asked all the right questions and promptly emailed me a quote for the initial "top-to-bottom" cleaning ($120) and the semi-weekly cleaning ($70). When they knew the end date for the other client they reached out and got me on the schedule, and the rest is history. I would highly recommend them!

With both my wife and I working and a one-and-a-half-year-old son at home, there came a point where we realized we were just too exhausted to really keep our place clean. Straightened up, sure - but baseboards dusted, bathtub regularly scrubbed, nook and cranny cleaning, no way. So we took the plunge and looked into cleaning services. It was really important to us that the service we chose was as "green" as possible - we didn't want a lot of harsh chemicals around our boy given the amount of times I've seen him eat cheerios off the floor. I looked into several companies on Angie's list and AA Environmentally Safe Cleaning stood out both here and on their website. Very clear definition of services and cleaning philosophy. I contacted them through email and they got back to me quickly and set up a home visit. Elizabeth was terrific in explaining exactly what they do and what to expect. They emailed me an estimate for $135 for the first cleaning (because it's usually more intensive - especially seeing as I'd let the place go a bit) and $95 per subsequent visits. This was in line with other estimates I'd received from services that touted their green credentials. So I booked them and they arrived this past Wednesday (8/4/10). It was wonderful. A cleaning team of three women arrived right on time at 8:00 AM and immediately set to work. Since I work from home I was a little worried before they came that I'd basically have to take time off while they cleaned, but that was totally unfounded. They were extremely quiet, respectful and did their jobs very efficiently. It was like a cleaning SWAT team. They cleaned for an amazing 3 and a half hours - I really didn't expect them to take such time and care going through every room. It was great. The stove and other stainless steel appliances gleamed as if they were new again. Dust bunnies under beds and sofas had been driven away. They even cleaned the glass on our french doors that had been covered with my son's hand-prints (and yes, mouth-prints) for weeks. It all looked great. I also didn't expect the little touches I kept finding hours after they'd left - the towels folded with a neat hotel look, our son's crib blankets folded and arranged smartly with toys - everything just wasn't clean...it was set right. The way I wish we could do if we weren't so bleary-eyed from a 5AM wake-up call everyday. The other thing was the smell - I didn't have a headache from a heady mix of noxious chemicals. It was just clean. So bottom line: AA Environmentally Safe Cleaning did a great job cleaning, were prompt, are very responsive via e-mail, are in line in terms of price with other green cleaners and went, in my estimation, the extra mile to really make our place look terrific. I look forward to having them come back every other week!

Nothng happened. After reading all the glowing reports about the company, I used the form on their website to request an on-site estimate visit. That was 8 days ago, and I have not heard from them. No phone call, no emai, nothing. If these people can't even respond to that request within a week, I won't use them. I want a company that is more responsive. I could accept the fact that they might be too busy to come for an on-site visit right now, but I think they should at least have contacted me to let me know the situation. By the way, I live in the Brookline/Jamaica Plain area, a very short distance from Cambridge, where AA is located.

Representative provided an estimate for "first-time" and "routine" cleaning services in early February, letting me know that there was a waiting list, but that the wait should not be too long. The first-time service was arranged for March 10, on fairly short notice, as spot had opened up: the key challenge here was arranging for keys, which was successfully surmounted with a little creativity (and good communication from AAECS).

We had an estimate done back in early December; had to wait for an opening, but were pleased w/ communication and professionalism. Very pleased w/ performance to this point, and plan to continue using the service.
