AA ENVIRONMENTALLY SAFE CLEANING

They're great. They use safe chemicals, and they're great cleaners. They're very reliable, and flexible with scheduling. They're polite and professional, and they're very pleasant to deal with. They're a little pricey, but that cost is offset by the safety of their products and the quality of their work.

As someone who is concerned about environmental issues, finding a cleaning company that uses environmentally-friendly products is very important. After some research, I found this company and contacted them. The owner met with me at my house, only to tell me that they didn't have any openings available: why not just let me know this via email (owner refuses to communicate via telephone--which is beyond weird--and is not prompt with email responses). During our meeting, she informed me that the cleaners would not dust any surface with items on it, which pretty much meant every surface in our house. She also had a number of other "restrictions." All in all, I was not comfortable with the vibe, so decided not to contact this company again. Eventually, I found another company, Terramaids--which also uses environmentally-friendly products--and have been very happy with their professionalism: we even have their phone number (imagine that!) to text or call if there are any problems (and there have been virtually none), and they respond almost immediately. What kind of business refuses to give their phone number?

They are really! They are excellent!

First of all, know that these people will refuse to communicate with you by phone, even when there's a problem. I had emailed for a quote, we negotiated and I accepted a date for a visit, then the person didn't show up. A follow up email blamed me because I should have looked for a confirmation. They offered me the date/time, I accepted, and they didn't follow up and I was supposed to assume the appointment wasn't made? We rescheduled because I was most interested in their eco friendly services. The person who came to my house assured me that all products and equipment were eco and allergy safe AND that all of her staff spoke English and could communicate fluently. We went over a list of items that would be important to me and scheduled and, again, had to wait through over a week's worth of poor email communication to even set up the first day. You might ask why I even stuck with them to this point, but I thought that once we got on a regular schedule we would be fine with the email. I was confirmed for my first appointment AND confirmed for my bi-weekly day from there. When they came for the initial cleaning, the staff not only couldn't communicate with me, but I asked a few simple questions of the lead person who seemed to be able to communicate best, and she couldn't answer very simple questions for me. When I came home, I found my place relatively clean with some marked errors - a few things missed entirely, like a whole section of the tub - which might even forgivable but not for a first cleaning where the price is 40% higher and meant to be a deep cleaning - and some specific things like leaving curtains looking like the room was ransacked, that I specified were important not to do (both at my initial meeting and with the people who were here). My question about the vaccuum (if it had a hepa filter as advertised, since it did not look like a hepa product) never got answered. You would think that a company would follow up after the first cleaning, but this one did not. I was scheduled for my second cleaning with them, per their own email system for two weeks from then. On the day before the cleaning, I contacted them to find out what time they were coming so that I could make arrangements for entry. I asked them to call me. I got an email from Elizabeth, the owner, telling me that they'd come the following week instead because of the snow. A whole week? I had a birthday party scheduled for that weekend and no time to have someone new come. My allergies prevent me from doing a lot of this myself, and Elizabeth knew that. Yet, she was willing, without even contacting me to notify me (I had to initiate this) to just have me wait 3 weeks for their services. Even worse, her response to my concern about the lack of communication was, "The team does fully understand you and should not be confused. Had they not fully understood you then they are to stop, call the manager (our translator ) and hand you the phone to tell her so she can then tell the team and get done what you ask." I specifically tell her that the team did NOT understand me and that they couldn't answer my questions and her response is that the team DOES understand me? Is this any way to do business? I also asked her to call me that day. TWICE. She did not. She offered to call me to see if she could schedule something but refused to call me that day. She also made the decision for me that I would prefer to wait a week than have a different day that week (early week snow storm that backed up their services for others) without asking or even considering what I might prefer. And, after telling her that I had some concerns about the cleaning that I had hoped to address, her only response was that she hoped I was satisfied with the cleaning and that the reviews on Angie's List are important to them. If that was the case, they should have provided better customer service. I would never even consider giving them another chance after all of this. Clearly, the don't listen and they don't respect their clients needs or time. Given the multiple lies in her emails to me, I would suggest that any members here take any response made by this agency with that in mind.

We were very impressed from start to finish. First, these folks are incredibly responsive. Within an hour, I'd received a reply indicating that they typically do not schedule one-time only service, because they prioritize their regular customers, but they were willing to make an exception because we had a baby coming and we happened to be nearby several of their other customers. In other words, their communication was clear and respectful. Next, the day that we scheduled a visit in order for them to generate a quote, the woman who came was right on time. She was friendly, professional, efficient, and explained the types of environmentally friendly cleaning products they used. For our oven, which had baked-on residue from over a year's use without cleaning, she offered us the choice of Easy-Off or a nontoxic alternative. (They only use the Easy-Off for deep cleanings; for regular customers, they prefer using the nontoxic cleansers.) We had a very reasonable estimate within 2 days of her visit, and less than a week later, they were able to come and clean. The results: Wow. I noticed the difference immediately on walking in. First, everything sparkled. We clean regularly, but never had our efforts resulted in such a sparkling clean as they were able to provide. Moreover, our home did NOT smell like chemicals - there was no smell at all, thankfully, just a very clean home. The hardwood floors were now really clean, including in the crevices near appliances, along baseboards, etc. The counters and stove and oven were spotless, and to top it off, they had even cleaned the inside of our microwave. I have no idea how they restored our several-year-old microwave to such cleanliness. The kitchen sink and faucet were gleaming, and the coffeemaker had been cleaned; they had scrubbed the dish drainer and counter underneath, etc. Dusting was thorough everywhere, including bookshelves, baseboards, windowsills, etc. Perhaps the best part was in the two bathrooms, where again, everything shined and the dust and grime had been cleared away. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I will caution that others should understand that it is not their regular policy to do one-time only cleanings, but if that's what you want, they will probably work with you to see if they can arrange it. We were completely pleased with the cleaning, punctuality, communication, and professionalism, and all for a very reasonable price. Kudos to AA Environmentally Safe Cleaning. We are now seriously considering becoming a monthly regular customer.

Pleasant, thorough, responsive to particular requests

They are fantastic. Always go above and beyond. They've been cleaning our place for almost a year now and i have no complaints.

They did a great job, easy to communicate with, and I'm happy with the work.

Very impressed with quality of services provided -- not a spec of dirt or dust left. Bathroom (including moldy shower) was left sparkling. Efficient, diligent, top-notch.

Overall I'm very happy with AAESC. They clean my condo twice a month and are very thorough. They arrive on time and get the job done right. I appreciate the little things the cleaning crew does, such as folding the towels "hotel style" or crimping the top sheet of the TP - it's these little touches that get noticed and are appreciated when you come home to a clean house after a long day at work! I have been using their services for about 8 months now and plan to continue them going forward.

The first visit for cleaning was amazing. They arrived in the morning as I was leaving--when I came back the place was sparkling. Subsequent visits (I'm bi-weekly), are always on time and well done. Small breakage along the years (a glass here and there...) are handled honestly and forthrightly. I'm not crazy about the cancellation policy (48-hours, or I'm charged; I'd be more amenable to a 24-hour notice), but I've dealt with it. The only thing I don't quite understand is the lack of billing/invoicing. I'm on autopay. Statements are not sent (not even electronic copies), and when I ask for one, a few times a year at most to reconcile my own accounts, it takes some doing, and usually all I receive is a jpg image of my statement, so small it's almost illegible. I've even offered some of my own time to instruct them in how simple it is to simply scan and send a .pdf, but no luck. The pros far outweigh the cons. I think the reason I have any of the latter is because I've been with them so long; it's simply expected that over time a few things would crop up. AAESC is stuck with me -- I'm not going anywhere.

Unresponsive customer service, Punctuality and Professionalism. All graded F. Poor quality of timeliness in Elizabeth's response. I'll go with someone else.

-The cleaning agents that this service uses do not leave a bad smell in the house. Their prices are very high compared to other cleaning services in my area. The vacuuming was not particularly thorough (and they never dust--even if one shows them the dust layers!!!). When they broke things (and this happened on a regular basis) they did not point it out to me (I would just find a child's clay pot etc, in a little heap on the shelf). Communicating with the team was a problem, as none of them spoke English except the owner, who was never there to supervise.

They are friendly, professional, efficient and thorough. We love them!

Terry and her team have been amazingly responsive in my experience with them so far. Since I mentioned in my initial request for a quote that I am an Angie's List member, they were able to squeeze me in on an otherwise tight schedule. From my initial email I had a response from Terry the next business day to set up an appointment for a quote, and within two weeks I had my first cleaning. Their pricing is reasonable, especially for the quality of the work that they do. It is definitely worth it for me to come home to home that is cleaner than I would be able to do once a month! Their online payments are also very easy, especially if you have a paypal account.

AA Env Safe Cleaning does a fantastic job - they come when they say they will (they schedule reliably, so we can plan accordingly). They do a very nice job. They specialize in "Green" cleaning products, and while you originally miss the "clean" smell that you associate with commercial cleaning products (ie lemon smell!) the house really is spotless when they are done. We've had a couple incidents with small, broken items over the last 1.5 year, but they are very apologetic and offer to replace them. We're totally pleased with them

The overall experience was excellent. The quoting process was fast and easily scheduled and both Elizabeth and Terry were responsive and professional. They answered all my questions and concerns and I feel offered a competitive price. I also really am thrilled that they do not use highly chemical cleaning solutions. The excellent work of their staff just goes to show you don't have to use harsh chemicals to get a thorough clean. I have already recommended their work to family and friends.

Great! It took a couple weeks to schedule the first visit since they had to wait for another client to leave in order to fit ms in, but they made it happen instead of turning me away!

the initial deep cleaning was superb as were the next 2 cleanings but then the crew boss for the team left and the level of work has not kept up with my initial experience. Once the work was so poor that I contacted the director who has always been very responsive and professional and she was very apologetic and gave me an extra free cleaning, When something was broken, she notified me and offered to replace it or give me a gift card if I preferred to replace it myself.

They did a great job, came on time, and followed all special instructions. They are professional and competent.

They were to come officially clean my home for the first time. They ended up coming almost half hour late after they said they were and didn't call ahead to let me know otherwise. They have some main phone number but when I tried to call that, no one answers. They won't give a phone number at which to reach them which I have never had anyone do before. They did a good job cleaning but they neither cleaning the garbage pails nor emptied them. When I let them know this happened, they refused to give any partial credit or refund nor did they offer to send someone back out to do it and claimed that I had already cleaned the pails so they didn't need to send someone to do that. So that was also another odd thing. I hope the next time goes better because in general they seem professional.

Its been a pleasure working with AAClean for the past 4 years - the only reason we're stopping is we're moving out of the area. They've always been extremely responsive over email, accommodating of changes to cleaning dates, and never any question as to their reliability. Cleanings are always very thorough and we've felt comfortable and trusting of the staff sent to our home. I'd definitely recommend them to others!

We've been very impressed with the quality of cleaning work. This is the first time we've used a cleaning service at our house and were not really sure what to expect beyond hopes for a thorough cleaning of floors, bathrooms, dusting, etc. Upon returning home after the initial deep clean I was delighted to find that these expectations were exceeded. It was very obvious that the work performed was thorough and great attention to detail was paid to deliver a very high quality job. I was particularly impressed to see that the kitchen stove top was essentially restored to 'like new' condition. We've attempted to really clean the stove top a number of times over the years, but we still failed to entirely remove a slight build-up around the burners. The folks from AA not entirely restored to stove top to like new condition, but they also entirely cleaned out the stove, which was not expected. As we're not that particular we simply were not expecting this kind of effort, but really appreciated the attention to detail. This kind of attention to detail and very high quality result seemed to be evident in all aspects of their cleaning. From top to bottom you could tell that an effort was put towards being thorough. All rooms were left in great shape. I also found it very easy working with the folks from AA to coordinate all visits and work through the details of how they work, what we needed to do to prepare, etc. I initiated contact via an email inquiry and have interacted with Elizabeth from AA since that initial inquiry. There's been no time wasted with missed phone calls or any other such nonsense. Elizabeth appears to be working 24/7 as I've received emails from her at all hours or the day and even during the weekends! She's very responsive and helpful in addressing any questions and makes the entire process of interacting with AA super easy and clear. It's hard to beat the combination of great cleaning results and really excellent, responsive customer service.

I am a very particular person, and for years I had been resistant to hiring cleaners, as I wasn't comfortable with the idea of having strangers take care of family heirlooms, paintings, etc. I couldn't have been more wrong! We have received nothing but the absolute best standards of care from AAESC. Everything is always sparkling clean, nothing has broken, they are extremely reliable, and the price is fair. We hope to continue with them for a long time!
