This is an update to my glowing review. My grout turning to mud when wet has been an ongoing problem. Finally, Paul H. says he will not fix. Says grout should not need to be cleaned. I am just a dirty person. This is after 2 projects and about $180k paid. Very disappointing.

DISAPPOINTING experience! Spent a lot of time in the fall trying to settle on a design and price for a kitchen remodel. Vonni was the company's representative and became very challenging to work with. The ultimate price tag was outrageous and not within where we clearly told her we wanted to be. We felt she DRAGGED out the process as well. The REAL KICKER was when she informed us that the company policy was for us to provide 90 percent up front as a deposit before the job could even start. OMG...who does that? This practice gives the consumer absolutely no leverage. Every person I have shared this with has been shocked and totally agreed this is not reasonable. Vonni claimed that this is how they do business and customers have not problem with it. Perhaps these individuals are more trusting than us. Truly, this is laughable. We HAD to walk away as she became more and more arrogant in the final meeting claiming that SHE was Herzenberg kitchen and not the nice guy Paul who really does own the business. At the time there was a large advertisement drawing in customers indicating a percentage off cabinets...not so...a lure but not reality. Paul Herzenberg occasionally got involved in our conversations and could not have been nicer. He assured us that he really wanted to do our kitchen remodel and told us he would accept a smaller deposit. That was verbal and never confirmed in writing; so again, we walked informing Vonni via e-mail that we were putting the project on hold for now as the holidays were quickly approaching. I believe they have a decent product to offer but the deposit practice and an employee on her "high horse" got in the way of doing the job for us.
Description of Work: Produced a design and provided estimate for kitchen remodel. This portion was reasonable ($75) and all sub contractors were brought out to the house to be involved in the process.
