HASTIE FENCE installed this short 42-foot chain-link fence and this is what it looks like just one year later as it unravels. Do I recommend you use their company? Absolutely not, unless THIS is the quality you expect: 2 crappy end pieces woven together because this small job didn't matter to them. They would rather dump their trash on the small customer because they will just ignore those customers down the road. Guess they couldn't care less about those customers. I’ve called twice this week so far and have gotten NO RESPONSE except radio silence. Thanks for nothing HASTIE FENCE.

Arrived on time, finished in day and a half. Couldn't be happier.

Hastie installed some privac fence panels, and the job went well. I had 4 occasions to contact their main office in Agawam. 2 of them resulted in Hastie staff being rude/abrupt with me, the other 2 were polite.

Believe it or not, I have a fence by Hastie many many years ago. I was fine with them up until recently. I was looking to get a new fence in another part of my property. I had an appointment with them on 3-31-14. So far so good. After that it didn't start off good. It took then 2 weeks to reply to me saying they were sorry it is taking so long because of the home show. Then, I sent them the summary of my quotes requests again (I was trying to figure out my project with different materials). The next day I received a quote but they didn't answer my questions I had sent them. So I nicely replied thanking for the quote but I was looking for answers to my questions to them about the fence options. Three days went by and no response. I sent them another email reminding them about my questions that they never replied to. Three more days and still no rely from them. I sent them another email: "Are you unable to provide the additional information requested 6 days ago?". They replied this time: "I believe ?. is working on it. I give him every email. We did the homeshow a few weeks ago, and the guys have been slammed with appointments and the paperwork is overwhelming. They are each doing multiple estimates all over MA and CT all day and on Saturday. In addition to writing up the all of the proposals, and the jobs that are sold, they also have to go over the jobs with the fence installers every morning. We appreciate your patience. He is doing his best to get all the prices for you. Thank you." Six more days went by, still no replies to my questions to them which would have been easy enough for someone on their team to answer since they are in the fence business. There was no reason why it should take about 1-1/2 weeks for replies to questions. I emailed them again but this time I asked for a fence color that I saw at a business and noticed it was installed by them. I was still trying to work with them even though they are causing delays in communicating with me. I also wrote: "Also, someone at your company should be able to provide those quotes that I requested about a few weeks ago by now. Really, just quotes shouldn't take that long. It isn't an installation job now that I am trying to schedule. I realize you guys are busy but you should be able to put together some accurate numbers and reply to questions when requested quickly since you are in this business and should have instant references." Then, the next day, I received an email back from the other person that was supposedly working on my information. I did not like how he replied to me in a condensenting tone. This is what he said: "As I mentioned before, the textured vinyl material, Bufftech Certagrain is not available with a lattice accent in the color you would like. Also a wood panel with lattice cannot be placed on ground. It has to be stepped. These are the only two options I can offer you. Thanks," It is ridiculous that he said "As I mentioned before". Is that anyway to talk to a customer? AND, a customer who had purchased a very expensive fence from this company many years ago. This was ridiculous. This is what I wrote back: "I don't recall that you mentioned that information. You did mention it didn't come in black. That is all. I realize that your company must be busy but it would be helpful to have an organized person working for you so you only do not have to answer these emails directly with the required information, someone else can do it for you. I sent an email on April 15th in this email string. The best thing you could have done is just answered in an orderly way as I had asked the questions, and not just say "As I mentioned before?" at this later date and with no consideration for this delay with my requested information. I have to say I am a disappointed in your company now even though I have had a fence installed by your company long ago (and it wasn't an inexpensive fence either). Apparently you have more work than you can handle and don't need my business. Furthermore, I asked what the model and color of a fence was in East Longmeadow and that information was not even provided to me. When a customer asks a question, it is best to just answer it." I DIDN'T EVEN RECEIVE ANY REPLY FROM THEM AFTER THAT - NO SORRY OR ANYTHING. SO UNPROFESSIONAL OF THIS COMPANY, HASTIE FENCE. THEY SHOULD HIRE A COMPETENT CUSTOMER SERVICE REP TO DEAL WITH CUSTOMERS IN A TIMELY AND EFFICIENT WAY. Then, last month I contacted them again (several months later). Only now was to see about a repair to the fence I already own by Hastie fence. After they installed it, it was them to go back to and get a price to see how much it would be to fix a small area. I was, in a way, testing them to see if they would come through for me and make amends. THEY NEVER REPLIED TO ME. AGAIN, SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND NOT A CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPANY. I also wrote to them for a final time: "I had called a few weeks ago to get a price on how much it would be to replace a damaged picket on the 6' white vinyl fence I purchased from you, and I never received a call back again. I will not have your business sign on my current fence in the future." My previous fence by them was very expensive and you would think they would be grateful of my previous purchase from their company and welcome my business back. But no - I was treated like they didn't care about my business! USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK. I RECALL, EVEN WHEN I HAD THE ORIGINAL FENCE INSTALLED BY THEM YEARS AGO, I HAD TO BET THEM BACK TO FIX THE GATE BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T INSTALL IT PROPERLY IN THE FIRST PLACE. People that end up using this company is encouraging them to act this way to customers whenever they feel like it. IT APPEARS THAT SOME FENCE COMPANIES, EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS A PROPER WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH THE CUSTOMER AND NO ISSUES WITH THAT CUSTOMER, CAN SUDDENLY JUST STOP WORKING WITH THE CUSTOMER. DON'T YOU THINK THAT IS SUSPICIOUS? BY USING COMPANIES LIKE THIS, YOU ARE ENCOURAGING THEM TO ACT LIKE THIS WHENEVER THEY FEEL LIKE IT.

installed a few sections of fencing and gate. Very expensive. Labor overpriced.

The fence looks amazing! The installers were professional and courteous. They did a through job and it shows! Their level of cleanliness is rare in this industry. Hastie Fence is a top-notch company and is a much better choice than the competition.

John Horton from hastie showed up with a lot of samples and ideas he was very professional he gave us an estimate we were happy. With we signed a contract one week later they installed the fence to our delight I would no doubt hire them again

They are top of the line. I had a little bit of a problem but their on site manager managed to calm me down. We had them take out a fence and re-dig it and re-cement it because it was crooked and I was like "we shouldn't even have to be telling you that". They had to call him and have him come out and they would not do it on their own. They did a beautiful job. The fence is beautiful.

They never responded to my email request for a quatation through Angie's list.

The overall quality of the fence is good. The Cedar Fence was installed and the gate they made was too short so it left a good 6 inch gap from our house. Also the post for the gate leaned after 2 days. The chain link tension rods were bent and the chainlink sits on the ground a couple of inches. There is also a gap in the cedar fence where they had to rack it for a slight incline and instead of putting a piece to fill it in they left it. The gap is large enough we can see our neighbor. They fixed the gate by making a new one and they fixed the leaning post. It took them several months to get around to it and in the meantime they kept contacting us to get the balance of their money. After they fixed the gate we paid them. The post for the gate started leaning again about a month after they fixed it.

We didn’t spend anything. They said that because the panels were panels that were purchased at a big-box store, they would not repair it. If we wanted it repaired, they said it would have to be a fence of theirs. They said they would take it down and put a whole new fence up. We did not use them. We would grade them a ‘C’ for our overall experience judging on their response. They were more on the expensive side. They do nice work which is one of the reasons why we called them. We would not use them again in the future.

Overall, they were good. I would use them again in the future.
