Description of Work: Fixed dishwasher. Service was done by a friendly, knowledgeable person and would definitely use again.

Description of Work: They replaced a valve in my washing machine which stopped it from leaking .

Description of Work: Had a problem with our refrigerator (original equip 1985!); the "warm" light was on. They came the day we called; figured out the problem and fixed it. Also checked the freezer compartment and found that the "fix" was needed to keep that part working as well. Then, went on to fix a problem we had given up on (the water delivery from the door; the tubing had leaked and it was a proprietary size of tubing from GE and they happened to have a coil of that size on the truck and were able to replace and get that service back to normal as well. We have found a new appliance service for our home! Very satisfied.

Description of Work: Clothes dryer was overheating rapidly , not sure if we should replace as 10 years old. Received a prompt call back, was asked several questions and owner shared his opinion and tentative estimate. He came out and not only replaced part but thoroughly cleaned dryer and gave me instructions on how to maintain. Cost was within estimate range.

Description of Work: The washing machine was not emptying fully so you would have to do the rinse cycle again and again. A guy came out and took everything apart and he told me what all needed to be done. I approved what needed to be done and he did the work and I was very pleased with the job.

Description of Work: He did not arrive on time when appointments were scheduled. He never explained that he was going to stop working with us and never returned company keys to properties.

Description of Work: This is the 2nd time I've used Family Appliance. My 8 yr old Sears upright freezer stopped working. The problem appeared to be just that the fan motor stopped working. They were able to come out very quickly and take a look. After getting to the fan, it started after a push. Apparently it has a dead spot in the motor that by some bad luck it stopped on. They said that I should replace it, but after they did research and called me back with a price, it turned out that the motor was $230. I decided that I would take my chances and just pay them for their visit. If it gives me more trouble, I'll buy a new freezer since I have other complaints about this one. But it's worked fine since and has a temperature alarm. I thought their bill of $60 for the service call was very reasonable. I won't consider using any other appliance repair company. Highest recommendation.

Description of Work: I called Family Appliance Service because of its excellent rating on this list, and I am happy to add a very positive review. We have an old (but good) Maytag dryer that suddenly started emitting a new rumbling sound. Family Appliance diagnosed it (correctly) over the phone, made an appointment, showed up on time, had all the parts, fixed the dryer and hooked it back up, and it is running perfectly. What more could you ask? Family Appliance recommended the repair (it involved a new or rebuilt blower unit and the repair estimate of close to $200 dollars was correct) because of the quality of the original unit, and we agreed. This is probably the best appliance repair experience that we have had.
