I called to order battery for my lawnmower. The person took my order, I even gave him the part number. He told me that it would be in within a week. I called because I hadn't heard from them. I called them a week later, they told me that they could see where I had placed an order. As other reviews on their sight says STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

I was yelled at by both the repairs department manager (Paul) and the owner (John) after they did the repairs without giving me an estimate. Apparently they charge a $50 estimate fee, which I was not told about even though I asked for an estimate before the repairs were done. I was blamed because I did not ask if there was an estimate fee. I was demeaned because I had never had a lawnmower repaired before. They were rude and obnoxious, and when I pointed out to them that they were yelling at a customer, they informed me that I had not even heard them yell yet. The owner then asked how much I expected to pay for the repair. I explainted that since I didn't know what the problem was with the lawnmower, and I am not a lawnmower technician, I had asked for an estimate. John and other staff listening in on the call laughed at that statement. Apparently that makes me a dumb broad. Then the owner sarcastically offered to charge me $50, yelled at me some more, at which point I said $50 would be fine. He then informed me that he was just being sarcastic. I'm not sure how this place has stayed in business this long given their policy of screaming at female customers, but I would recommend that no woman take her business there, and any man who has respect for women should stay out of the place too.
Description of Work: I brought in a old broken lawnmower and requested an estimate for the repairs.

I was in a pinch and went there in a hurry. I have since found a more reasonably priced mechanic in West Springfield. M&M Small Engine Repair.
Description of Work: Purchased a generator and had a Snow-blower repaired. $90+ dollars an hour to fix a small engine is off the charts. it's small engine repair NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.

I made a HUGE mistake by not inquiring about the cost of the tune-up before leaving their facility. When they called to tell the work was completed I asked how much I owed them. ONE HUNDRED and EIGHTY-FIVE DOLLARS to tune up a lawnmower? I can get my car tuned up for that amount. Anyway, I paid the $185 and took my mower home vowing to never give this company my business again. Since then I get my mower tuned up yearly at a cost of only $85.
Description of Work: I brought my $200 lawnmower in for a simple tune-up.

Description of Work: I brought in my snowblower to have an electric starter installed. It came back leaking gasoline and with no power unless I left the choke on. Ugh.

Overall, the tune up was good work. They picked up and delivered my rider to my house. They had the mower for about 2 weeks. I just cannot believe how much they charge for labor - $98 per hour. Maybe that was the single woman rate, I'd hate to think I was taken advantage of, but it sure feels like it.
Description of Work: These people are EXPENSIVE - get ready to spend a TON of money to have your lawn mower tuned up or repaired. I paid $400 to have my rider tuned up. Okay, so it needed a new battery and spark plugs and some other small parts. The parts totalled approximately $115, however they charged me labor of $290! I called to discuss and was told that their labor charge is $98 an hour. I think that is OUTRAGEOUS. They did a good job, but I will NEVER go back to them - I cannot afford the labor costs.
