Description of Work: We had all of the hardwood floors on the first floor of the house refinished. Rich and his crew do a great job, and the floors look wonderful. We found not being completely sure of start and stop dates until a day or so beforehand (or, perhaps not feeling they were settled) a little disconcerting, since we had to make hotel arrangements, but it is also the nature of how the work schedule can change on the job before. Absolutely would recommend, and will use them again when the upstairs gets done.

Description of Work: I got a quote from them to refinish my hardwood floors. They were professional and got me the quote quickly. Their price was in line with the other vendors I got quotes from. I ended up using another vendor because they were not available as quickly as I needed.

Description of Work: Ron refinished my red oak hardwood floors on the main level of my house in the spring and the results were fabulous. This fall we had water damage done to our master bedroom carpet. I shopped at a carpet store to find a carpet replacement; and the sales person tried to talk me into prefinished hardwood. At that point I knew that we would be asking Ron to come back to install on-site-finished (not prefinished) oak. Ron installed and finished the hardwood in the master bedroom, including walk-in closet, and the upstairs hall, including a linen closet. I consider well done site-finished hardwood floors a work of art; and again the finished floors are beautiful. Ron is professional, respectful, and punctual. He uses only the highest quality materials, takes his work seriously, and is proud of his accomplishments. Ron is a master at his craft.

 + -1 moreThey are very professional. They are very easy to work with. They are prompt and very courteous. I work late night; so they made an effort not to wake me up in the morning, when they came in. They really made an effort to keep everything clean. They did not let our cats, and dogs get out, when they were coming in and out of the house. We didn't get many quotes; but they seemed to be reasonable.
Description of Work: We used R & R Floor Co about two weeks ago for floor installation.

 + -1 moreExceptional! Ron provided a great deal of detail prior to the quote. Identified potential challenges and suggested various options for resolving the challenges. Was matter-a-fact about areas of the floor where he was unsure of how they might turn out (stains, nails, etc). Quoted the job soon after reviewing the effort. Came ahead of time to replace some boards and saved us a day of work. Showed up each day on time and did a great job.
Description of Work: Ron prepped the floors to be refinished by replacing few boards, removing tiles in one area. Removed the existing finish, Applied the new finish.

 + -1 moreRon (the co-owner) returned my initial call on the same day. He showed up to estimate the job promptly and when promised. Ron and Rich (the co-owners) came to perform the work at the scheduled date and time. Both men were very professional and friendly. The job took one full day and three partial days to complete. They worked neatly and carefully and cleaned up all debris before leaving. My wife and I are extremely happy with the results. The floors now look brand new.
Description of Work: Sanding and refinishing of hardwood floors in living room, dining room, hallways, and stairs.

 + 0 moreOur experience with R&R Floors was great! Ron communicated very well with us, expressed any concerns outright, and even helped us brainstorm some ways to save a little money. For instance, we paid for the hardwood floors to be delivered to the house via COD, meaning there was no up-charge - something we really appreciated! The installation only took about 3 days - faster than we had expected. They cleaned up very well before they completed the job, including giving the new floors a good shine. Ron was very accessible, and a pleasure to work with. The floors look amazing! We were really hesitant to not have all standard hardwood floors, but in the end we made the decision that worked best for us. The installation is professional, with no ugly quarter round moldings - the floor boards fit snugly to the walls. They tacked down any creaky sub-flooring, and now our new floors are squeak-free! We really couldn't be happier with our experience.
Description of Work: My husband and I have just purchased a new house, and much to our dismay said house came with a rainbow of carpeting in every room. We contacted Ron about removing our carpets and installing hardwood floors. After walking through our house and taking a few measurements, he expressed some concern about installing standard hardwood floors because the height differentials between rooms may become problematic. Additionally, raising our floors due to the thickness of the floorboards could have meant that our dishwasher would no longer fit in the kitchen (height-wise). Ron suggested we try something along the lines of an engineered hardwood floor, such as Mirage. My husband and I did some research and this is what we ended up choosing. Ron removed most of our carpeting (we did a portion ourselves to save money - an idea that Ron was more than okay with), removed some tile, and linoleum flooring. He installed Mirage hardwood floors in every room in our house, excluding bathrooms and the laundry room.

 + -1 moreThey showed up and the guy was very personable. I had a quote the next day. Everything was outstanding; the only thing was they missed a piece on the quote so the quote got higher. Otherwise they were very personable and very professional. They were neat and clean. The guy that does the work and gave the estimate is the owner. I was very pleased with all of it except he missed the stairs so it was $600 more.

 + -1 moreThere was a horrible blue carpet covering oak hardwood floors in the house I was purchasing. I was trying to coordinate a number of contractors to start immediately after my closing, hoping to get any major work done before we moved in. R&R Flooring delivered beyond my expectation. (I found them on Angie's list.) I am more than pleased with how my floors look. It has transformed my house. The highlight, of course, was getting hardwood floors. It was an additional plus to be able to work with Ron Genovese. Ron was a complete delight; a experienced flooring expert, detailed, careful, punctual, trustworthy, professional, friendly. He demonstrated great flexibility working with and around other contractors and meeting a fairly short timeline. He gave me good instructions for how to care for my floors. I highly recommend R&R Flooring.
Description of Work: Carpet removal in living room, hall, and stairs (pad, tackless, staples and fill all holes), and sand and refinish with 3 coats of polyurethane. Surface sand and recoat with 1 coat of polyurethane 3 bedrooms and dining room.

 + -1 moreA co-worker highly recommended R&R Floor company, they had used them on more than one occasion and were very happy with the quality of their work and their professionalism - and all the work is done by the 2 owners who have been doing this for many, many years. We called R&R, they were prompt in calling us back, scheduling and coming out to our home to provide us with an estimate. Extremely knowledgable, all of our questions were answered, even those that came to mind after he left. They arrived on time to do the job and cleaned up every night before they left. When the floors were done we were extremely impressed - they went from looking like they were 40 years old to looking brand new!! Plus my 2nd floor was cleaner than when they arrived and they even vacuumed my front stairs! We highly recommend R&R Floor Co and we are already talking about pulling up tiles from a playroom and having R&R come out to install hardwood!
Description of Work: Refinishing of our 2nd floor - 4 rooms and hallway. Previous owners had a dog and did not care for their floors, they looked horrible. R&R sanded and stained our floors making them look like new!

Description of Work: We had Ronnie and Richie who came highly recommended to us. They returned my call promptly to set up a time for an estimate. Speaking with Ron I could tell that he was very knowledgeable in answering all of my questions. He told us that they do all the work themselves and have been in business since 1969.
