Jim Cronin came to my apartment and gave me an estimate, as well as helping me estimate how many boxes I would need. He was very responsive to email questions. The actual moving crew, Scott, Scott, and Bob, were efficient, friendly, and professional. They wrestled my piano out of a Cambridge triple-decker, and got my sleeper sofa up to my second-floor condo even when it didn't fit in the elevator. The move took about six hours start to finish, and I was very pleased with the results. I haven't found anything that was damaged or broken in the move, and they were patient with me as I dithered about where things should go in the new condo. I would definitely recommend them!

First of all the 3 guys who did the moving job, Byron, Andy and Tim, were the best! They were so organized, efficient, careful, pleasant and helpful. My elderly mother is not easily impressed and she was quite nervous about the move, but these guys put her at ease and took such good care of all of her belongings and treasures. Best of all was their positive and hard working attitude which is difficult to find these days. I would highly recommend Big Foot for any move and would gladly use them again!

About three weeks before the move we had a representative come out to the house and give us an estimate. He was one of three reps from three different moving companies I had out that day. He was the most calm and reassuring one. His estimate was right in the middle; they were not the most expensive nor were they the least. The day of the move 4 young men arrived on time; they had given us a time window of when they would arrive --between 8-9am. They arrived at 8:30 and met my husband who was coordinating the move out and were all friendly, courteous and professional. They even agreed to take things that we hadn't planned on taking during the move. When they arrived at the new house, they met me (I was coordinating the move in) and introduced themselves to me, shook my hand, were very courteous and helpful and efficient. They finished in 4 hours (under the estimated time) and we ended up paying a couple of hundred dollars less than we anticipated. Nothing was damaged or treated roughly. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat but I hope I don't have to move again for a long time!

Simply outstanding. Rich McKee, Estimator/Consultant is a credit to his profession. He worked closely with us to plan this move which had more twists than could be explained here. He was very realistic in his price estimate. Although expensive, I feel that I got the quality service that I paid for. The actual movers were very thoughtful and considerate of our possessions. They exhibited much intelligence in dealing with complications that arose, and were all very experienced. The whole process was conducted in a tight time frame. A month after the move, Rich McKee even made a trip over to our new home and fixed a desk drawer that was not functioning properly after the move. In short, these guys are 100% and worth every nickel.

Representative came to the house and called when he was running late due to traffic, which I really appreciated.He explained everything really well and went through the house closely and had personal recommendations regarding the handling of certain items. By the time he left, I had a very clear picture of the proposed service and responsibility level of the company He followed up by providing a detailed, written-estimate. Very happy with our experience and they were our 2nd choice. The first choice preference was given solely based on expense since the other company came in significantly under Big Foot. If I wasn't counting pennies for the closing, I would have chosen Big Foot.I would definitely call them again. Hopefully I won't regret not using them this time...

Two years ago, my husband and I used a national mover to relocate from Tennessee to Massachusetts, and the entire process was a nightmare - delays, misinformation, broken/damaged items, etc. Suffice it to say we were REALLY hesitant to hire anyone to help us move, even a few miles. Although we knew we could move many things on our own or with friends, we had a few very large/heavy items that required professionals. I got estimates from a few Angie's List-reviewed movers in the area, and though Big Foot wasn't the cheapest, I liked the personal email response I received and the prompt answers to all my questions. The entire process of booking the move was very easy (a couple emails, a fax, and done!). On the day of the move, the team of movers showed up on time around 8:30am. The moved very fast, but they still took time to wrap and pad every single item. My husband even commented that they seemed to use more pads for the few items they were moving that our previous out-of-state movers had used for everything we owned! I was also very impressed at the time they took to make things work. When we moved in, the other movers put a huge gash in the ceiling of the entryway, trying to cram our sleeper sofa through the door. Big Foot measured multiple times, tried several different things, and finally ended up taking the door off the hinges to get the sofa out without any damage to the furniture, the movers, or the apartment. Of course, they put the door back on before they left. When we got to the new place, Big Foot put everything where we wanted, even waiting for me to find an extension cord to put behind the piano (which took time for me to unpack a few things to find what I needed). Overall, the experience was fantastic. Next time we move, I'll definitely call these guys again!

These guys did a great job, and had a competitive bid that was on target when they finished. They coordinated, packed and moved very quickly despite the 4 story walk-up we were moving into. I would deffinately use them again and recommend them in the future.

Big Foot Moving Company exceeded all our expectations. They were prompt, courteous, professional, hard-working and efficient from beginning to end. Our move was a challenge in many ways--new house has no driveway and previous owners hadn't emptied out their furniture 100%. Lots of floors because it's an older home but these guys never seemed daunted in any way. Had they not been as wonderful, patient and professional as they were the two days they moved us into our new home-- things would have been a total disaster for us. I recommend this company whole-heartendly and if god-forbidden we ever have to move again, they are the only company I am calling.

Everything was great. My wife and I have moved a bunch of times in the last decade. This move ranks with the best of them. They arrived promptly in the morning around 8:00 a.m. One guy packed the kitchen while the others loaded the truck. (The dishpacks he assembled were veritable works of packing art.) They were out of there around noon and at our new place just before 1:00 p.m. They unloaded everything quickly and left by 4:30 p.m. We're not unpacked yet, but it looks as if nothing was lost or broken. The crew was very careful with our newly refinished floors, which was much appreciated. We got quotes from three companies. Bigfoot was not the lowest quote, but that's because the others estimated less time for the move. And it worked out well in the end: bigfoot quoted us $2500 and it came in at $2100 (about the price of our cheapest quote). All of these movers seem to have one (or more) "estimators" and one or more moving crews. So the key is that the two communicate. There was one slip up. We were originally told that they would be packing the kitchen a day in advance, but they decided to do it all on the day of the move -- and forgot to tell us. It was all good by us -- one more day with our dishes. And they had no problem doing all of it the day of. Anyway, throughout the process Rich at bigfoot was incredibly responsive. Emails were answers in hours, if not minutes. Overall, great stuff. I'd use these guys again.

Contacting the company for the estimate was easy and they were quite responsive. I did end up adding some things on after the estimate and the price was a bit more than I planned but I couldn't have been one bit happier with this move and still feel that it was worth every penny. The morning of the move, the team was right on time (given an 8 to 9 AM arrival time- they came at 8:25). Their first question was " How are you doing?" and I really felt that they meant me and not the moving process. By then I was quite frustrated. No matter how much work I did, I seemed to have belongings reproducing themselves and I never seemed to have finally completed a room. The response was " Don't worry, we'll take care of it", and take care of it they did. The team consisted of Michael, Michael and Andy. They worked hard and never stopped, and all of the stairs and tight curves up to the third floor didn't phase them. I felt that the stress of the move lifted right off my shoulders. They packed up all of the little "things" that I could never seem to wrap up. They also packed up my grandmother's antique china cabinet and when I opened those boxes to unpack, I just coudln't believe what a careful amazing job they had done. I had planned to move several things myself like lamps, because I wouldn't have to pack them, and I certainly would be more careful with them- what ever was I thinking. They were amazing. Everything they packed was extremely well done and certainly far better than I could have done. The stop at the storage faciltiy was very smooth- I sat in my car and read- oh bliss!!! Hadn't had a moment like that for months given the staging, selling and packing of my condo. When we arrived at the apartment, things went just as smoothly. They were very careful of my belongings. Items were placed exactly where I wanted and if it meant trying several locations-well that just wasn't a problem. My belongings arrived in great shape. I will certainly use Big Foot when I move out of the apartmetn into a new condo- and can only hope that I have the same team. They got along very well, worked incredibly hard and did a masterful job. Thanks so much Michael, Michael, Andy and Big Foot. Not only will I use them again but I plan to have them do ALL of my packing.

We moved from MA to NH, it took us a long time to find a place and our moving date changed a couple of times. Rich (sales) was very accommodating and patient. When moving day arrived the crew arrived on time. They were professional, courteous and took great care of our belongings. They made a stressful day much easier. I would recommend them again without hesitation.

Quote was reasonable and competitive. The team showed up on each occasion on time, they loaded the trucks in less time than they expected (worked very hard) and cleaned up everything before they left the house(s). They delivered everything unbroken and on time. They packed all of our fragiles, and did an amazing job. I give them an A+++ rating.

We had a large container of our household goods moved from Michigan to Massachusetts after being stored for 6 months. The guys from Big Foot arrived on time, walked through the house with us to see the rooms, doorways, and staircases. Our things had been packed rather densely into the container and the guys were very careful about removing everything. When nails had come loose on furniture (i.e. the back of bookcases), they found all the nails and reconstructed the furniture. They were professional and not one item touched a wall or staircase. When they were finished moving our things into the house I asked if they would assemble a piece of furniture that was still in its flat pack boxes and they said yes. What a time saver having them do it properly! We would definitely use Big Foot movers again.

The moving company arrived on time shortly after 8 AM with 3 men and a big truck. We had a lot of our small stuff packed ahead of time but none of the electronics were packed. The Big Foot crew handled everything well throughout the move. They were extremely polite, professional, and cheerful. We had items on the main floor, attic, garage and back yard to move. They said don't worry about anything, whatever you need us to move, we will move. Everything arrived at our new home in good condition, nothing lost, nothing broken. All in all I was very pleased with Big Foot and I would highly recommend them.

They did an excellent job, from bid through completion. The bid process went well; Rich McKee was prompt, went through everything clearly, and produced a reasonable bid. On moving day, 3 men met me at the apartment at 8:00 a.m. to load everything. They completed the loading in 2.5 hours and suggested ways they could take some of the stuff I thought I would have to take by car - I was very grateful! I'm sure they saved me several more back-and-forth trips on the Mass Pike. They unloaded everything in Belchertown in the afternoon - done by about 5:30 pm - all went smoothly and they were very accommodating to put things where we wanted them. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. When I told them I found them on Angie's List, they mentioned that they have a coupon online - it saved me $150 off the price mentioned above. Highly recommend.

It went seamlessly - we are so happy with the service Big Foot provided. I spoke with a representative on the phone, who gave me a ballpark estimate based on the size of our condo, etc. He came out a couple of days later to survey our home and confirm the estimate after seeing the contents of the home; we set up a move date for about a week later. Three guys showed up on moving day (Tyler, Scott and Henry), right on time, and went straight to work. They emptied our place in a couple of hours and even accommodated a last minute request to empty an off-site storage unit and include it in our move. They efficiently wrapped up some odds and ends in the basement and took great care in protecting our furniture. Very nice and professional guys who maintained a great attitude despite some trouble with a very large couch fitting out of our old place and into the new. They checked the old home for any items left behind more than once. Not a single item was broken or damaged during the move, and after a long day they made sure that everything was exactly where we wanted it at our new home. We could not have been happier with their service.

The experience was very good. They were half the price of another competitor. They moved my entire house. They were just very reliable. They did everything they said. They gave an estimate and that’s the price they charged. They were just very easy to deal with, very nice guys.

Everything went well. To me, that says it all. They showed up on time and got to work. They were immediately accomodating. We needed two trucks and had 4 guys. It took all of the 12 hours that Mike had estimated it would. The captain of our moving crew that day was David Bentley - he could not have been more pleasant and thorough, even keeping track of requests I made of him that were not specifically moving-related. The condition of each major item moved was inspected and confirmed with me before wrapping. All items were received at the new house exactly as they left the old. I even used the movers to help my husband empty part of the Pod into our garage. What I want to say next cannot be underestimated: if you are moving, it's obvious that good pricing and reliable service are important. What I think made the day an over-the-top experience for me was the attitude of the movers. Every one of them was pleasant, responsive, and responsible - even after an extremely long day. It's stressful and hard enough to move as it is; having cheerful, accomodating, and capable movers made the day that much easier. They were never harried, irritated, or unpleasant at all, even when asked to do a refrigerator swap which required disassembly of each refrigerator and involved small doorways and a flight of stairs. At the end of the day, all I can say is that they were worth every penny we spent.

The actual final bill was almost exactly at the estimate (slightly below). They were very careful (no issues with anything being broken and no damage to walls or anything). The team was both personable & professional. The craters did a great job as well (for the artwork I had crated). I watched them put the crates together & it was exactly what I'd hoped for. the owner of the moving company, Mike Bavuso, stopped by to make sure everything was going well. He was also very responsive as I was setting things up - told me about different options re: insurance and such but wasn't pushy about it. Overall, a great experience.

We were very happy with the quality of the work and the flexibility of the movers. We made a last minute change to our move in date and they were very easy to work with on the new move in date and supplied additional movers to ensure that we could move into our new apartment on the same day. The packing and moving service was great. The weather was horrible during our move and we appreciated the movers' professionalism and their ability to move our items in and out of the the van despite the freezing weather. They also had a lot of steps to navigate at our new apartment and they moved everything into the apartment without any problems. Nothing was broken. Their final price was under the original estimate. We will definitely use them again on our next local move.

Jim coordinated our move, and his crew was spectacular. They were very punctual, professional, friendly, and considerate. We were exceptionally pleased with their services, and highly recommend that anyone moving consider them!

Jim provided an estimate after visiting our house and examining what we wanted to move. Within a day or 2, I received his estimate. Among three bids we received, Big Foot's was the outlier. The other two companies were within 100 lbs of each other for estimated weight, whereas Big Foot's estimate was 2000 lbs higher. Their estimated charges were $3000 and almost $5000 higher than the other two companies. Consequently, we used another moving company. I have answered "no" to the question "would you use this company again" for these reasons, and not because I think there's anything wrong with the company. I have previously been accused of hurting other businesses by saying "no" to this question, but Angie's List forces an answer of yes or no, and I can't honestly answer yes in this case.

The four movers showed up on time and got to work immediately. They first had to clear away some snow from the street to park their truck, which they did with little complaint. They were humorous, hard-working guys who handled our fourth floor walk-up with ease. They helped to box up the last minute things that we did not get to in time. The maintained their good natures throughout the 7 hour move, which is the time we were originally estimated. Our only complaint was the way our couch was handled. It was squeezed through a narrow door causing a scratch in the wood of the door and a scratch on the fabric of the couch (which we did not notice until after the move).
