The company sent a packer the day before to pack our kitchen as we requested. Small hiccup as we were not on their list that day, but that got cleared up quickly. The packer was excellent, and after doing the kitchen, prepped some of the furniture for the next day to speed things up. Day of move, the movers showed up on time and got right to work. Packed all of our belongings onto 2 trucks in less time than I estimated. Drove right over to new place (1 hr away) and started unloading right away. The guys asked plenty of questions to make sure things were going to the right places, and it was easy to ask them to move things again if needed. Overall as pleasant an experience as moving can be. Price was reasonable, customer service was very good, and I would definitely use them again and recommend to others.

We had a fantastic experience with Big Foot. Rich McKee was our salesperson and he was responsive, helpful and organized. The crew on both moves (the first small move and then the big day) were unbelievable. They were polite, personable, and efficient. We moved into a 5 story walk up and I swear they did it with smiles on their faces. They took time to ask questions and place furniture and took great care of all of our belongings, including our 150 year old dressing table. All of our stuff (including the storage items) were unscathed. My husband and I joked that writing fragile on some boxes was futile because they treated them all like fragiles. They have perfected being really fast and efficient without making the customer feel like they are rushing. We considered cheaper companies (like AVIV) but we were so happy we chose Big Foot. Their estimate for 7 hours was spot on, whereas Aviv and others estimated ~4 hours. Either they don't know how to estimate, were low-balling us, or the moves are frantic. I can't imagine our move taking a minute less than 7 hours. In addition, I felt that the moving crews are probably treated better by Big Foot in terms of wages, benefits, etc. versus the cheaper companies. Looking at Big Foot's employment webpage, it seems like a great company to work for. I like to think about those things when I hire someone. In addition, if anything ever went wrong, I would definitely want to be dealing with Rich at Big Foot and not some of the gruff people I talked to when shopping the discount companies. Definitely! In sum, they were the best part of our move. Moving stinks, but these guys made the actual process painless and dare I say sort of fun? They (almost) make you want to move again.

It went very well. The movers had my furniture out of the house and packed in triucks in 5 hours. it was then transferred to storage and then 4 days later they did the entire thing in reverse. The movers were exteremly helpful, professions and the pricing beat 3 other contractors. Additionally, what I liked best is te pricing came in lower then what they told me to budget initially. It was a very good experience from my initial contact with the sale rep Rich McKee through the move.

all responses have been professional and very much on time. This was particularly impressive as this was happening around the Labor Day holiday. My request for an estimate was filled within one day, boxes and other materials were delivered immediately. Rich McKee, the estimator, was great and gave me lots of good suggestions to make it all easier. Movers called prior to arrival and arrived on time, all as promised. Price was as quoted. The crew was professional, careful and able to problem solve quickly when they encountered difficulties moving large pieces. Everything was wrapped and packed well and off to storage in plenty of time. I am confident that the return from storage will be easy as well. Highly recommend.

Big Foot Moving and Storage did a great job. I was very impressed with all aspects of the process. From the initial quote I received from Rich, to the actual move, everything was top notch. I'm a technical person and I was really impressed when Rich came by to give us a quote and he used an iPad. Also, when paying, they used an iPhone to process the payment and I received a receipt via email. Very cool! On moving day, the movers were great. Courteous, efficient honest and hard working. Very professional. They showed up on time and moved at a constant, steady pace. They took good care of all our items and made sure not to damage anything. They took the time to help us re-arrange furniture if needed. I've moved a few times so far and had some horror stories with movers where the actual priced ended up being way over what they quoted. Not the case with Big Foot, they treated me and my family in a respectful manner. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

The communication prior to our move was very professional. Moving is an stressful time and it makes a difference when the moving company is professional and reassuring that the actual move will go smoothly and without any surprises. They came to our house to give an estimate and with the coupon on Angies List they were by far the best value. They explained that the estimate would be based on the amount of time they thought it would take to move everything. After receiving the estimate and confirming that we wanted them to be our movers, I had a little trouble getting in touch with the sales agent to confirm the time they would be coming. I had lost his cell phone number and he was difficult to get in touch with at the office. However, the movers showed up early in the morning (around 8:30) and everything well smoothly from there. I am always impressed with how movers from a good company are able to wrap up all the furniture, and move it down twisting staircases. They also seem to possess super-human strength. These movers were had all those qualities. They were fast, completed the work in less time than the estimate, and there was no damage to our furniture or either home. They were also nice, and very professional. I would recommend them to anyone moving around the Boston area.

The crew was prompt and professional and explained clearly how the process would work since we were storing our stuff at their storage location until we were ready for delivery at our new home. They also took care to wrap everything well and handled everything with care while moving it. Unfortunately, during the move into the house, one item (part of an entertainment center) was found to have broken at some point, likely as part of storing the items. Mike, the president/CEO, was very professional about it and took care of having it picked up, fixed, and returned. The company that handled the fix did a great job and it was covered under the insurance I took though Big Foot. There was no paperwork headache, which was great. While it was disappointing that there was a broken item, that stuff happens during a move and they handled the situation great, so that was appreciated. Also, the move itself came in under the initial estimate since we had everything pretty well packed and ready to go. The team didn't rush, as they shouldn't, but also didn't drag it out just to fill the estimated time window. Overall, I'd highly recommend them and would use them in the future.

It was a great pleasure dealing with Big Foot. We took some smaller items to them for storage before the actual move. They were flexible and more than willing to help open our bins when we wanted to place additional items there. Moving day, the van arrived right on time and the crew of 4 worked hard to secure our belongings. They were efficient, friendly, and easy to work with. They took our stuff to their storage facility, where everything was labeled and logged in. They were more than happy to open up the units if there were items we needed. Mike and Nick are outstanding. We are now in our new house but not ready to receive the furniture yet. (We are renovating.) Nick spent a ton of time patiently going through our stuff, putting out a few items we need: mattresses, TVs, some chairs, some small tables.

Big Foot exceeded our expectations. I knew of them through a co-worker and their Angie's list reviews but there are so many horror stories out there, you just never know. Rich came over and did an assessment of the house, inputting into his iPad. He asked a lot of questions, things we hadn?t thought of, that gave him an idea of how much more would be packed. On the day of the move, 4 guys showed to pack up. They were young but very professional. They were polite and friendly but, most importantly, very ?down to business.? I basically just worked around them and felt totally confident in how they handled everything. They wrapped nearly everything in those heavy moving blankets, brought additional boxes that we ended up needing and had lots of plastic wrap for securing items too. I am someone who loves processes and these guys had a great process. One guy in the truck supervised everything going in so that it all fit and was secure. I would recommend the boxes they have for hanging clothes. I was able to take everything out of 3 closets and hang them in these tall boxes. I did this so I was sure my wife?s delicate dresses were handled right. When they were delivered the guys just pulled them out and rehung them in the labeled closets. Really worth the small additional costs. Fairly quickly they were driving away. So fast that I forgot to tip them. My wife supervised the unpack and she was just as impressed. One guy was there from the previous day and two new ones. But all the same good guys. They were great about working with us as we changed where some of the items were designated for. I made sure to go to the guy that had been there and give him a larger tip and told him to make sure that the previous gang got their share (he said that is common practice.) As stated, we had read so many horror stories about movers so, seeing our faith rewarded was very satisfying. Because I cannot resist a good pun, I will say: Big Foot made an "impression" on us; from our first contact with Rich on the phone until the truck pulled away from our new house. I would recommend them highly. I know I paid a little more but trust is something that is hard to put a price on.

The website is great! It was clear and had several very helpful handouts to help people become more organized for the moving process. After submitting an online inquiry, I received a prompt auto reply and then...nothing. There was no follow up, no phone call, absolutely nothing. Great web presence and initial impression with unsatisfactory follow up.

It went very well. They were professional, hardworking, and polite. To my amazament, they nearly fit all of our stuff into the 1 truck. Since there was so little in the second truck, they moved it into their storage facility for the three days instead of storing it on a truck, which saved over $400. I thought their initial proposal was high (although it was not inconsistent with another quote), but they came in well under on the final invoice, which was great. *UPDATE: I am updating this review based on some follow up issues with this company. While I was very happy with the actual move services, I have been disappointed with their responsiveness on a billing issue. Several days after I paid them, I noticed an additional $300+ charge on my credit card which I had not authorized (I was not contacted about this charge or made aware of it in any way). After I called them about this charge, they emailed me an invoice which differed from what I was shown on the day of the move. Some of the difference was legitimate, based on a calculation error on the day-of-move. However a big part of the additional charge was based on them not crediting me for my Angie?s List coupon, which I provided on the day of move. I contacted them and after a week still have not received a refund. Charging customers unknowingly is a bad business practice; failing to follow up and correct a mistake they made is even worse.

We have rented more Penske trucks from Nick in the past several years than we care to admit, so when a more significant move became a reality we decided to check out how Big Foot could help. We were trying hard to manage our costs, and they were willing to work with us, which was hugely helpful. What impressed us: - Jim's initial estimate was very close to our final number, which was remarkable given the two locations - Scott, our lead packer, had more energy than seemed possible and worked quickly and carefully. When we unpacked here in WI, we did not find one broken item in any of my dish packs, which were large, heavy, and well-packed. - Scott, with the rest of the team did a masterful job of loading the ABF truck and kindly accommodated our request to cover the top of the entire load with tarps. - The other movers, Owen, Ronan, Trez, and Steve were, without exception, professional, diligent, polite and hardworking. - Nick and Jim even stopped by to check in and make sure it was going well. We appreciated that immensely. - We had moved six months previously, so they used the remaining supplies we had before charging us for theirs. - They managed to get our extremely heavy wood stove on the back of the truck! What did not go well: - it rained for the second half of the day, but that did not seem to put a damper on their spirits or positive attitudes. We would highly recommend Big Foot for local or long distance, big or small moves.

A polite and professional crew moved my stuff from point A to point B. They did a great job. When move day is boring, that's a good sign. This was a very boring day.

I was emptying out my parents' former condo and was down to about two rooms of furniture and boxes. I needed to move 2 dressers to the third floor of the building they are now in, plus take a chair from my mother's new room, then everything else was being delivered to our cottage and to my son's apartment on the North Shore. Time was of the essence as I had a deadline of less than a week. I called them on Wednesday or Thursday and they scheduled me for the next Monday. I was so surprised considering the number of students and renters who would be looking for movers at this time. I met the movers at the condo first thing in the morning. They were very nice on top of being professional and efficient. They had all the correct items loaded in about 35 minutes -- including the pieces I'd forgotten to tell them to take or decided at the last minute to have them take (which they were very kind and understanding about). Next we went up the hill to the first delivery and chair pickup. They managed to carefully fit the dressers into the small storage cage so that I will be able to access them to swap out Mom's seasonal clothing. They then picked up the chair from her room to add to the load in the truck. They followed me to our cottage to pick up an air conditioner and drop off a small chest. I gave them my credit card information at this point as I was not going to the final destination, then they continued to Gloucester to meet my son at his apartment to unload everything to his second floor apartment. He later told me they had his stuff all settled in less than an hour, gave a cheery wave and were gone before he could add to the tip I had already given them! I had been given an estimate close to $800 and had an Angie's List coupon for $50 off, but was delighted when the total bill (including discount) was nearly $100 less!

I cannot say enough good things about this company. I have moved serveral times within the past 10 years (mostly job related), and this company tops my list as the best moving company I had the great plesure of working with. They are punctual, professional and they go the extra mile to ensure that your move is done as smoothly as possible.

They came on time. Brought three men and they were careful with my belongings. They quoted me 4 hours and went under the time and did not rush ahead. They were accommodating as well. They honored my request when I wanted them to move me.

as always I research all company's on angies list.if it's possible to give bigfoot an a+,thats what they should get.they showed up early & stayed late, until everything was completed.y cared for all items as if it were there own.the price was less than the estimate & the 3 guys that did the moving were great. any one moving in the future & trying to find a great moving company, look no further.

They were great. I like the people that there were there that did the move. Big Foot Moving and Storage were very friendly and clearly went out of their way to do everything they could possibly to make the experience a good one for us.

My brother had a lot of stuff that needed to be moved - so much so the mover was very surprised. I asked for a not-to-exceed estimate as I knew they wouldn't know exactly how much stuff was there until they got into it. They stuck to their estimate and were very friendly, polite, hard working and efficient.

Can I give them A+ for their professionalism? My husband and I moved 7 times in the last ten years before settling in our current house. Big foot moving was our favorite. They were polite, punctual, efficient, and just good. We were impressed. Nothing got broken during the move including our somewhat fragile Ikea furniture.

I cannot say enough good things about Big Foot Moving and Storage. I moved 3 times in 7 months and needed to have my things in both long term and short term storage. Each time I moved, my things needed to go to more than one destination. Big Foot did every thing perfectly every step of the way. Every thing was packed properly and delivered to its proper destination every step of the way. Nothing was broken or lost. The staff was professional, flexible and accommodating. This company can handle any challenge smoothly. I would definitely recommend them, and have recommended them to anyone who needs to move. (The work was done at several locations.)

BigFoot Moving Company was great. We had not moved in years so we had accumulated lots of 'stuff' some of which were a challenge in terms of size and weight. We had not moved in a while and were not quite prepared for moving. They coached us through the process and the actual move was a breeze. The crew of was 6 on time, courteous and very solicitous of our concerns. They knew what they were doing. They took great care of all our belongings. What with all the stress with closings and walk-thrus, the move was the least of our concerns. All in all we were very pleased with Big Foot and highly recommend them.

This is the second time we used Bigfoot for a local move and we couldn't have been more pleased. They were punctual, professional and courteous and made the moving process as painless as possible. We'd use them again with confidence.
