It was pleasant experience from start to finish. The owner showed up on time for an estimate one day after I called for an appointment. I got a number estimates from other contractors, some higher and some lower, and decided to go with Cooper because of their reputation, history and obvious concern to do the job in a way to completely satisfy me. The estimate was clear, concise and complete and presented in a highly professional manner. Two days later the crew showed up bright and early, went to work immediately and completed the job in about a half day. The finished product looks great, they left the site neat and clean and were very respectful of my property.

They did a very good job, promptly and properly. I was impressed they called back after a year and wanted to make good on the previous problem and they apologised. Not too many contractors have the humility to accept critique. thank you very much

I called for a quote for Asphalt sealing and they had someone there within the week. The walked me through the whole quote and detailed the services that they would do. They taped off our rock wall and garage and there was no splatter to speak off. Under out deck, they spread by hand the sealant and again it was all on the driveway and none on the columns, stairs or footing. They sprayed the rest, taped off the driveway and it looks great. After it dried, there were a few spots that didn't get full coverage but when I called, they schedule a crew to come back within a week. It looks great. Will use them again. I get nothing but compliments from my neighbors and have have definately referred them.

I was impressed with the owner of the company, who is a woman. I would give them an A+ for everything. It is a fantastic company.

Went very well. We have a very small driveway so I'm not sure the price was great but I wanted to make sure it was well done even though it was a small job. They definitely did a great job. Dug out the old dirt and cap driveway..leveled it nicely and did a good job paving. The owner kept me informed on what was happening from day 1.

They did an excellent job. They brought a very large crew, and worked very fast. I thought they were very competent, and they also made sure that the driveway was slopped properly for when it rains. They even went out of their way to help me. They were gone in about 3 hours, and did a great job! I will be using them again in the near future.

Not as good as promised or expected, attitude was bad IMHO.

They were exceptionally responsive. We had lots of problems getting a permit from my town (Brookline) and they hung in there to get things done. Another contractor would have just walked away from the job. Instead, Denise Cooper called me and worked witht he town to get the permit. I have never used a contractor that was so polite and responsive. They did the job as promised and on time. I have only positive things to say about this company. Use them and you won['t be sorry.

Well after everything was done it looks beautiful.. It is only 9 days later and it is already snowing in Boston. I guess the job was done just in time. The only problem I had was cleaning up the grass in the back yard. (The bobcat really dug it up a bit.) Took me 62 bags of topsoil in my minivan. Made 5 trips from Lowes. Of course I knew this would happen because of all the rain and soft soil. So about 8 hours total labor ,soil and seed it will look ok. This is the price I paid for wanting a pad for the shed. I am a happy camper now!!! I have already recommended this company to one of my neighbors.

Denise from Cooper Paving did a great job on our driveway. There were a few scheduling conflicts that prevented us from both being present at the estimate so we spoke several times over the phone to ensure that everything was exactly as we wanted. They showed up on the scheduled day and completed the work as agreed. They did an outstanding job and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them in the future.

This company is THE reason I joined Angie's List. They did not do the work as contracted. At no point, as promised in the contract, did they ever use a steam roller! The driveway is flat, rectangular, and easily accessible. (24' x 44') The attached photos show the ledge left at the seam with the street. It is not physically possible for a heavy roller to leave a ledge like that in the pictures. Clearly, they did not use a steamroller. As I stood next to my driveway, watching them use the hand tamper instead of a steamroller, I asked Mr. Cooper why he was not using a steamroller. His only reply, "This will be fine" The steamroller was sitting by the side of the road at the time, unused. When the case went to court, I had the price reduced from $1800 to $1000. The finding was not a total reduction, likely because I could not prove that they did not use a roller. I thought the attached pictures would suffice, but maybe not. I recommend videotaping every second of their "work". What they did was a clear example of a deceptive business practice. They quoted the job at half the price of my next estimate and gave almost a word-for-word description of the work to be done, then they cut corners and skipped steps that saved them money. I recommend avoiding this contractor. What a joy it was to have work done on our home by a company that follows up with phone calls, is clear in its communication, and does what it says it says it’s going to do. We had an extremely good experience with John Cooper Sealing and Paving and give them the highest of marks. Denise Cooper’s “can-do” attitude and follow through led to a great-looking job on our previously gravel circular driveway. Her able workers paid careful attention to the grading of our lawn and made certain that our French drain was not affected. They even made a section of our patiowhich had been uprooted by tree roots look extremely level – no small feat! We thank them for the great job and offer a sincere recommendation of the company.

Denise returned calls immediately, gave me an estimate for a larger project, worked with me in changing size of project ( so I could afford project and still get what I needed) workers prompt and punctual. worked constantly, knew thier jobs and did them in harmony with eachother. Timing was perfect for each part of the process (removal of soil, old gravel, placement of base, 1st level of asphalt, and then 2nd level of asphalt. and all the rolling inbetween... they even rolled ( compressed) the replacement soil for the old driveway and cleaned the public roadway of any wayward soil that machines left on pavement. I was so impressed. The workers were polite, friendly and very businesslike... I could not have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this professional company to any and all...

The guys did a great job. Denise did a wonderful job setting it up and being flexible wit hthe estimate based on other competing companies. They come in and repaired it within hours and the driveway looks and works great.

they were very prompt and very responsive. They were very professional. The woman who came out was very knowledgeable. She obviously knew the business inside and out.

They came out early. They were very polite and did a nice job. They also cleaned up after themselves. They didn?t take long at all to finish the job. I had gotten other estimates and they were very much in line with the others. I was very pleased with their work. I will be calling them again next year for some follow-up work.

The quote was higher than some of the other pavers we got and was why they asked for receipts to be given to them. It was a pleasant experience when we talked on the phone and they were trying to set up an appointment. I wasn't able to meet with them so basically they went there to take the measurements and let the estimate. They were very pleasant. I don't know about the results, but they were more expensive than other companies. We would have expected a little more technical estimate with the materials and so on included.

We made an appointment with Denise for an estimate. She was very professional and gave us a quote which was followed by a date for the work to be done. The crew was prompt and professional. They did a great job!! They sealed the driveway completely and edged it cleanly.

Overall, the experience was excellent. Contact was highly professional, prompt and all expects of the estimate was top notch. We had a similar experience with another vendor and chose to go with them instead although it was a close call and the difference was minimal. John Cooper was similarly priced to the 3 quotes that we received, was prompt, answered/returned phone calls and I would definitely consider looking into for any paving work.

Denise was wonderful to work with. She returned calls within 24 hours (usually within 2-3 hours). She scheduled us for a certain date, but then squeezed us in even earlier when she had an opening. She was professional, friendly and great to work with. Her team did a great job on the driveway. I left for work and came back to a beautiful new driveway. I never saw the work being done, but the result was perfect. I highly recommend Cooper Paving.

They were good. The job went very well.

They were prompt in getting back to us and they gave us a good estimate. We went with a different company because they were able to do our front step as well. She did everything in a very timely manner and she addressed everything we talked about in her proposal.
