I read the positive reviews and indication that they did "repairs" I sent Cooper an email inquiry, describing the work I required to repair a very small portion of my driveway 12' x 4'. I hoped to get it done before the snow flies. The area is clean and neat, and just required an asphalt fill. No prep work necessary. Unfortunately, I was informed that the company is fully booked through the end of the year. I was disappointed. With such a small job, I would think they could find the time to engage a new customer and possibly gain another customer (my mother), whose entire driveway requires replacement. I guess the saying "no job too small" doesn't apply here.

The provider never return 2-3 messages requesting for a quote

It took them 3.5 hours as promised. They asked us to save 3 parking spaces for them. They were on time, very polite, and cleaned up after themselves. Would recommend them to all. They were the lowest price of the 3 companies we asked for a quote. The company is owned and run by a woman with good support staff in the office. Her son was on the job, learning the ropes.

They came in on Wednesday early, and finish up on Thursday pm. They did a superb job. I would recommend them to anyone.

John Cooper Paving was chosen over one other provider of similar services from Angies List. Both companies had equally high ratings and I received quotes from both. They seemed equally qualified for the work which was to replace my driveway and walkway. John Cooper was consideraly less expensive and based on that, I chose them. They arrived on time on the day of the scheduled job. The entire process went smoothly. The workers were professional and cleaned up thoroughly after finishing. I am very satisfied with the cost and quality of the driveway/walk. No hesitation recommending them.

I called 8 companies and Denise made me feel comfortable right then and there and their price was better than most. They came to the house and looked at the property and did measurements. I was very interested in having seal coated by hand and they do it and they marked on the agreement as that was important to me. They explained me how they would cover the property so that the seal coating wouldn’t get on the grass. So I thought that was very nice and they were very professional. I was impressed with them.

In 2013,showed video of the amount of water and Denise explained that what she could have done wouldn't fix our problem. On the up and up and I liked that. Will definitely use when we decide to repave. October 2013, Denise came out again. Went over in detail what they could do to get rid of the enormous puddles, and add the additional space. In April 2014, they dug up the complete driveway, added the gravel, base and then the asphalt. Looks good and it is nice not needing boots to wade to my vehicle. Had an issue with power steering divots. No problem, promptly came out to rectify. Denise and the full staff were professional, courteous. Already recommended to several friends.

They broke the old driveway and replaced it with a whole new driveway. I have had a very good experience with them. The men were courteous. They were four or five of them here. They also did my back walk and if there was a question they asked. They were respectful. I have nothing negative to say about them. I would say to others that I had a very good experience with them and I would certainly recommend them to anyone. If they said they would be here at 7:30 in the morning, 7:30 they were here.

The comapny did a very good job time wise and schedule......They came in right on time 8am and was done at 12pm.

Denise came out to provide an estimate. She was professional and answered my questions. The quote was in line with two other estimates and I decided to hire John Cooper for the job based on their Angies List reviews. The crew showed up on time and completed the work as agreed upon. They worked fast, but did a great job. They were professional and answered a few questions I had during the process. The true test will come over the next year or two regarding how well the driveway holds up. But for now, by all accounts, the company did a great job and was professional throughout the process. Denise made a follow-up call after the job was done to make sure I was happy with the end result.

I called Cooper Paving and Denise Cooper returned my call the same day. She came out for a quote within three or four days, on a weekend so we could be home. Her quote took about 10 minutes, she listened carefully to my request, took some measurements and then sat in her truck and wrote the quote and hand delivered it to the front door immediately. We decided to use Cooper Paving before getting other quotes because the price was at the low end of the range that we expected based on what neighbors and friends have paid for asphalt paving. The driveway was scheduled for 8 am on a Tuesday, but the weather precluded them from coming. Denise called me the night before the scheduled installation to cancel and then called again to reschedule for the same week on Friday. They arrived on time and were polite. They reviewed the work plan with us before we left for work and when we returned home we had a new, perfect driveway. I would highly recommend this company. We have done many upgrades/projects at our house over the past six years and this was the easiest contractor/work I've ever had to manage as an owner. I was delighted with the experience!

Denise Cooper was very responsive to my call. She came out to the house, we discussed the work and she gave me a written estimate. It was a much lower cost than another quote that I had received for less work. Shortly after I accepted the quote I was contacted to schedule the job. The crew arrived exactly when promised and the job foreman went over everything with me to make sure we were in total agreement. The work proceeded very smoothly and I am extremely pleased with the result. They cleaned up everything and pointed out any aspects of the job that I might have questions about. They were very professional and hard working and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

The job was delayed several months from the original estimate in the fall because of cold weather. Denise Cooper kept in touch with us about schedule, and as soon as the rescheduled date came around, she called to tell us the crew would be there to complete the job in less than a day. There crew was amazingly efficient in their work, and fun to sidewalk supervise. The crew leader walked the job with my wife before beginning to go over the details, and then walked the job with me after completion to make sure everything was completed properly. It was. The driveway looks great, adds to the curb-appeal of our home, and is very smooth to drive. We have had a couple of rains since the work was completed, and the drainage grading is perfect. The work was completed in less than a day, on budget, and we couldn't be more pleased.

The did a good job with an older driveway. No problems, came as scheduled. Filled deep cracks and did sealcoat. No issues overall.

They were not able to give an estimate because it is a stamp driveway. He gave me some providers to call to do the work.

Overall went well. They were prompt at their appointment to give an estimate, were at the lower end of the price range I received across several quotes, and they articulated clearly what they would do from start to finish. They spoke with confidence. We arranged to do the work when I was out of town on vacation, so I can't speak to how it went that day. But when I returned home the work was done, so I was satisfied. Part of where they had to work was right against the house with clear vertical grain redwood siding. I did not find any splatter here, so they had to have taken their time to avoid a mess. There was a baseball sized spot of damage they were supposed to patch and didn't, however they may have forgotten where it was.

It was a new driveway that I had put down in March of 2012. The company that dug out and replaced my old driveway wanted $500.00 to $600.00 to seal the new driveway. Contractually if I did not have the company seal the driveway my 5 year warranty was voided. I chose to take a chance and signed up for Angie's list. After the driveway was sealed and dried it had funny looking patches. I called John Cooper to take a look at it because something wasn't right. They mentioned bird droppings, but that was a bit too far fetched for me. They did come back and resealed. This time I noticed that the original driveway was not rolled sufficiently and that was the reason for the discoloration and tar separation... I called John Cooper again. They were closing down for the season. Keeping my fingers crossed they can repair the original contractor's mistake as the original contractor is no longer in business. Lesson learned. Do your homework first!!!!!

Great experience from start to finish. Denise showed up on time for the estimate, measured the driveway and gave me a written estimate on the spot. After signing the contract, we scheduled a start and complete date of November 5. I was called the day before to confirm the appt and to let me know the workers would show up in the early afternoon. Sure enough ,right at 12:30 PM, the workers showed up and got right to work. They had the old driveay ripped up in about 30 minutes and then it took them another 2 hours or so to go through the process of laying the new driveway. The crew was very efficient and eveything went great. They were done in about 3 hours and I took a look at the driveway with the crew manager. Everything looked great and we love our new driveway. I would highly recommend John Cooper Paving and Sealing.
