Blake Payne was referred to me by a local plumbing supply company. I had recently purchased a new house and was doing some fairly extensive remodeling. I learned that Blake is a certified master plumber and, if I remember correctly, his father was a plumber as well. (I assume this review is about Blake and not his father -- my experience has only been with Blake). Blake was on-time, courteous, and helpful. I reviewed some of the work I needed, in particular getting a new gas line into a challenging location behind what had previously been an electric stove. He explained the various options and explained the volume of gas needed to supply the stove and where the most appropriate connection point would be. We agreed on an approach and price, and he ran a flexible gas line from the main supply line, across the attic (following the route I requested so as not to be in the way of walking or storage), and to the stove location, creating a flexible connection point with easy access to a shut-off valve. All of his work was prompt, neat, and at the agreed-upon price. In the process of running the gas line, he discovered a plumbing vent pipe that had been broken off inside the attic, apparently during some earlier re-roofing. He repaired the line and routed to an appropriate location. I was so impressed with his work that I asked him if he could do some additional plumbing that I had intended to do myself. He plumbed a new kitchen sink, garbage disposal, and dishwasher that I had just installed. The work was excellent. Shortly thereafter, I was replacing a toilet when I bumped a can of PVC cement and it rolled down the toilet drain beyond my reach. I was very concerned about this getting stuck somewhere beneath my foundation and causing a major problem. I called Blake; he was in the area and came within a few minutes. He had a snake camera and the appropriate tools to locate the can and pull it from the pipe without much trouble. As I recall, I don't believe he even charged me for this visit since he was in the area and it didn't take but a few minutes to resolve. All of my interactions with Blake have been pleasant and professional, and the work has been done properly, on-time, and per our agreements. I am convinced that he has excellent plumbing skills and knows how to do the job correctly. I keep his phone number on our refrigerator and will use him for any future plumbing work I may need. I recommend him highly.
Description of Work: I purchased a new home and needed some plumbing work. Mr. Payne ran a new flexible gas line through my attic, connecting to the main gas line on one side of the attic and down the wall behind a new gas range I was installing in the kitchen on the other side of the house. Additionally, I asked Mr. Payne to plumb a new sink, garbage disposal, and dishwasher as well. He also connected and rerouted a plumbing vent in the attic that we discovered was not properly installed. Finally, shortly thereafter, I was replacing a toilet myself when a can of PVC cement rolled into the toilet drain pipe. Mr. Payne came and retrieved the can from the drain.

He called the city because they had to okay the work before he could do anything. He is the person that maintains the pump. The work was expensive. He was punctual and did a good job. Everything works.
Description of Work: I used Payne's Plumbing Service to install a sewer pump. He said that I had to replace the motor in the pump. He had to replace the entire motor and dig the whole thing up.
