Do Not Use The Company! Find someone else to do your garage door repairs. I called around for an estimate on replacing the bottom weather-stripping since it appeared to look worn on the edges and was fixing to update my garage. I was told I had to go to an Overhead Door rep because this particular part is part specific to the type of door so I had to call Capital City Overhead Door. Very nice young lady quoted a price and the guys came out to replace it. I did not receive the OHD replacement kit that is recommended for the door but instead got a rubber linear that was cut to fit and screwed to the bottom of the door. They removed my entire aluminum track, weather shield stripping and flange from the bottom of the door so I have no metal strip in the void. I now have water pouring into my garage every time it rains. When I called I was informed that the weather-stripping they attached was not designed to prevent water from entering the garage only to stop dirt and debris. I was then told that the part that I requested an estimate on and thought I was getting had been discontinued and they put what they thought would work, never informing me of the fact they couldn't get the OHD part that I had requested and understood would be needed. After emails and a phone call (in which I was talked to very rudely and yelled at by the man on the phone and older lady) they then said they would call all around the world to see if they could find the correct part and then give me a price on the part and the shipping to get it!!! Like Really....No Way am I paying another penny to this company. Don't use them because they will take your money and do sub par work. Their customer service is nothing but a banter of being degraded, ridiculed, and talked down to as a customer. Grant it the young lady and the men who came out were nice and great but the owners are noting but verbally ugly and rude.

There were able to come out within a couple hours of me calling and did the job for the estimated amount.

Went well after a few mistakes on the parts.

I called Overhead Door and they were extremely helpful. They told me what to look for to trouble shoot the problem and after all the connections and signals were checked, the problem was fixed. They stayed on the phone with me and walked me through it all. They helped me avoid the expense of a "call out" appointment. I will definitely call them again and will refer anyone who has garage door issues to them. Note to Overhead Door - Merci Boucoup.

It didn't go at all. I called and spoke with Gabriel who scheduled my work for the next day. In the am of the next day, she called and said that they were overbooked and rescheduled for the following day. She promised to call in the am to advise on time of arrival. On the following day by late am no one had called. So I called and spoke with Gabriel who promised to call me back asap. And again, after waiting for over an hour, I called her. And again she said they are booked for the day and can't come out for at least more 5 days. I cancelled the job and got someone else who won't be out for a week. Apparently, there's more overhead door problems in Baton Rouge then there are repair services who can handle them on a timely basis.

I called and they came out early on the appointed day. The piece had to be ordered and wouldn't be in for a few days. I told them I would be leaving to go out of town. They said it wouldn't be a problem, that they would just bill me. Worked like a charm. Received a bill and paid it.

They were good. They were prompt getting here and fixed the problem.

It went well. Just took them a little while to get here to change out.

One of our door springs broke on the weekend and we could not get the door opened by hand (too heavy!), so one of our cars was stuck in the garage! I called Monday morning and said they could come out that afternoon! The repair man called when he was on his way to the house, so I left work and met him at my home. When I called the office, I told them I also wanted to replace our garage door opener. The repair man was very polite and knowledgeable (he also programed an extra remote I had so it would work with the new opener). He replaced both springs and opener and was done within an hours time. The only thing I would say, the cost was a little pricey for the amount to work and the new opener.

Was on time and on the job immediately. Finished quickly. Had some problems with the door immedately after the service tech left but he returned quickly and fixed. Friendly enought but seemed a bit put out when I called him to return. Would ding him just a bit for not making sure door was in perfect working order before he departed. Overall good experience and benefited from a 10% off Angies coupon.

I have a home warranty since I just bought a house. One morning, when leaving for work, my garage door opened, but wouldn't close. I closed it manually and went to work. When I got home, I entered an online request with my warranty company. The Overhead Door Company called me within a very short time, maybe 30 minutes. I was impressed it was so quick. The lady I spoke to was very very friendly. She said she'd try to get me scheduled for the next day. She called me back a few minutes later and had someone who could come out that night. He came out a little while later and assessed the situation, determining I needed a full replacement. The next day a second guy came out and installed the opener and did all the work. The job didn't take long and the work was good quality. I'd use these guys in the future instead of the big box stores. The $65 I paid was for the work not covered by my warranty.

Service was prompt, very professional, did a little more than was expected, no problems.

A call was made that monday regarding garage door, someone came out tthe same day and took a look T it. They were very professional. We both came to the conclusion that it would he best to I replace the motor. That was done and I haven't had any problems since. Will definitely use them again.

Overhead Door did not return my original call requesting a serviceman to come out and provide a quote. I had to call back again. Eventually a technician did come out. He was very courteous, and assured me they had a garage door in stock in the color and size I needed, and they could begin work within a few days. He said a down payment was necessary. The quote was reasonable and I needed the door in quickly, so I provided the down payment. The technician called me two days later to inform me the door was out of stock, and would take two weeks to come in. After two 1/2 weeks I called the office. The person I spoke with had a hard time finding my information, and said the door had been delayed, but they would call when it came in-within the next three days. After hearing nothing from them after three days, I called again and they had trouble "finding" my information. Finally after a month the door was in and they came to install it. The installation was fairly quick, but they left nails and screws in the garage which caused a flat tire. The door looks good and operates well, but I would not use them again.

It went very good. They were prompt and knew their business very well. They were constantly in contact with me and finished the job quickly and thoroughly.

Everything went very well from estimate to installation. Estimator was clear that 3 weeks would be required to order these obsolete parts and it took about that long. Installer was prompt and professional and explained what was being done. He also gave advice about other improvements that could be made to improve the operation of these doors. Work was completed efficiently and quickly with no mess.

My garage door had not been opening and closing properly. It seemed to be related to the humidity levels as during dry periods I had no problems, but during high humidity, the door was cranky. I lubricated the tracks thinking that would help. One evening, it took some friends and I over 15 minutes to get the door closed. It's a heavy duty door and is thicker and more massive than average garage doors. We discovered a roller that was askew in the track and could not set it straight. I called Overhead Door of Capital City the following morning because I had used them before. I related the problem to the service tech over the phone. He told me what he thought the problem was (roller needed replacing) and gave me cost of service call and repair. I agreed and he put me on the day's schedule with a time estimate window. Called me shortly after the earliest expected time and said he would be at my home in 20 minutes. His initial inspection of the door showed ALL the rollers on one side of the door were breaking and needed replacement. Again, since the door is heavy duty, cost of rollers is higher, so price estimate went up. Fortunately the rollers on the other side were fine. The tech replaced the needed rollers, then checked the opener and the entire door. He then serviced the entire system by tightening loosened bolts and lubricating the tracks. He also showed me how to watch for breaking rollers and how to replace them myself. The door works great now.

Serviceman came earlier than expected. I was not home (came home while he was still there) and began working when he got there. The repair took about 45 minutes. The repairman did not bill me. I received the bill 2 days later in the mail

I called for service early in the morning explaining that my electric garage door opener was frozen in the closed position although I was able to handle the door manually. After taking my information the service manager indicated a technician would be working in our area all day and would try to work us in. I received a call from the technician at 4:30 p.m. who indicated willingness to stop by before heading in for the day. He worked on the system for 45 minutes with complete success. In his judgment the system does not need to be changed but indicated that should the problem reoccur within six months it should be changed--and the $85 service fee will be discounted.
