The guys at One New Creation did an excellent job fixing wood rot damage around the frame of our exterior door. They were able to take the door out, rebuild the frame, repair the damaged floor and sub-floor and re-install the door in a day and painted/finished everything the next day. Every step was clearly explained before work started and the lead contractor contacted us a couple of times to ensure that we were satisfied with the work. A very professional and competent organization overall. I would recommend them for anyone who needs work done on their home.

Mario and his team are absolutely top notch! Id absolutely recommend them for any of your remodeling needs. They did a full kitchen and a full master bath remodel and I am thrilled with both. They ran into issues with both and kept me up to date the entire way and fixed the issues with ease. When you start remodeling older homes, issues can arise and that was the case with my jobs. After 2 bathroom remodels, I hired Mario and the crew from One New Creation to do an exterior of my house in the Garden District of New Orleans. Their work was perfection. They spent at least 3 weeks meticulously prepping and restoring the house before painting to ensure the finished work would be perfect. What I anticipated to be just a paint job was a restoration of historic district standards. My house was restored to late 1800s perfection. More importantly, Marioâ s payment installations kept me informed of costs so nothing was unexpected. At one point I had to acknowledge that I couldnâ t afford to do a few things that I should have likely agreed to, but Mario understood and didnâ t try to up-sell me or put pressure on me to do more.

I secured 3 bids for renovations to both my primary and guest bathrooms, one of which was from One New Creation. The One New Creation bid was the lowest of the three I secured and I was admittedly nervous about how the renovations would turn out. I had just purchased my home in the Garden District and wanted both renovations to be high end and improve the value of my new home. I could not be happier with how both bathrooms turned out. Mario Saavedra provided my initial estimates and both were 100% accurate with my billing. Any additional charges I incurred were the result of my own additions and edits. Construction started and completed on time with no delays. The men assigned to work on my project were here daily with few interruptions. They worked tirelessly and their craftsmanship was perfection. Both bathroom renovations exceeded my expectations. Mario made recommendations where appropriate (tiling, light fixtures, paint options, etc.) and helped me to avoid unnecessary expenses. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of and his approach to his work was guided with honesty and setting realistic expectations about what his firm could/could not do. My overall sense is that these two bathroom renovations increased my home value by $100,000 or more - and I am thrilled to enjoy them for as long as I live in my home. I was so pleased with One New Creation/Mario that I moved forward with having my exterior home painted after seeing another painting project performed by One New Creation in the Garden District.

Earlier this year, Mario and his team at One New Creation finished a full renovation on a shotgun double in New Orleans. This was an extensive project that took over a year to complete. It involved extensive repairs and remodeling to all systems of the house: carpentry, roofing, foundation work, reducing chimneys, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and completely remodeling a kitchen. To add to the complexity, this was all supervised remotely, via FaceTime and periodic visits, from my current home in Boston. Bottom line is that Marioâ s work was impeccable. I was kept fully informed of the progress of the project. When inevitable unpleasant surprises involving rot and age occurred, Mario was straightforward in addressing it. His suggestions regarding both style and substance decisions was always useful. His attention to period detail in an old house was excellent. Minor snafus involving subcontractors were always solved effectively. Last but not least, the punch list items were all addressed with the same promptness as work at the beginning of the project. We have since stayed at our new home for a week. Everything was as we expected. I cannot recommend Mario and his company more highly. I have been a homeowner since 1992. This is easily the best contracting experience I have ever had.

Mario Saavedra is an owner / project manager / contractor with integrity and fine character. He is easy to work with, pays attention to detail, is efficient, cost conscious, pursues perfection and achieves excellence in the final product. He has a core of 10-15 young men who work together well and all contribute to a terrific outcome. They are easily a Google 5 star, and if Michelin reviewed more than restaurants all over the world, One New Creation would be their highest designation, 3 star, as well.

Contractor was superior in project management, daily hands-on review of progress, all labors were courteous, listened to any concerns and daily picked up all trash, and stored all equipment. They made this a less stressful experience. I highly recommend them higly for professional job.

My wife and I have used One New Creation for 2 home remodel, one was a small rental house that we took down to the studs and remodeled and the second was repairing our house after Ida destroyed a large part of it. Mario is extremely helpful and attentive. Anytime we ran across some sort of obstacle Mario communicated well with us on any delays or cost increases that may have resulted. We will continue to use and recommend Mario for any needed construction needs in the future.

Mario remodeled our home after Ida damaged a large portion of it. He did an incredible job, and is very professional and pays attention to the details! We contacted Mario to fix the Ida damage because he redid a rental house for us a few years ago and did a great job. I would highly recommend him and his company. He is always responsive and gives great input when youâ re unsure about any part of the process. Mario and his team were the best thing that could have happened for us with our bathroom remodel. His communication was great throughout the whole process. He even went way above and beyond to helping my wife and I decide every detail of the remodel we had questions with. And with this being our first time, it was a lot of questions. His wife even searched and helped us find the flooring we had so we didnâ t have to buy a whole new floor. His crew was very knowledgeable and respectful as well. Caution: Gets in with a low quote then dumps a massive, surprise bill, demanding payment. After finishing the work, we were slapped with a bill 3x the original estimate due to added expenses without so much as a heads-up. While we expected some additional costs, we have never experienced a 3-fold increase and the unexpected overages put us in a terrible financial spot. ⠨⠨When talking to this contractor, he showed no remorse and did not t see anything wrong with his actions. This leads me to believe he is not a professional, reliable contractor and might build his business on being predatory. I am honestly sad to leave this review because the quality of work met our expectations and the workers were respectful and detailed for the most part. I urge future customers to engage in meticulous discussions about potential expenses before proceeding with any project to prevent them from finding themselves in a similar financial crisis. .Consider asking for an updated invoice every day or go with another contractor

Hired them to refinish some very fine wood porches that had been finished incorrectly by another company. Price was transparent and crew was absolutely the most professional as I've seen. They showed up on time, were super cool people, work was spotless, and job done. Hiring again soon.

Mario was great, I liked working with him, he came out checked everything before, during, and after sheetrock repairs & painting were done. Had some issues with painters he used - their prep work was not ideal, a little sloppy on "cutting in" around woodwork without taping first, and spackled holes were too large and smooth, and not re-textured before painting. One man he uses for sheet rock repair was very good and experienced. I liked him a lot! All the workers were very nice. Mario worked with me on the price when problems with my ceiling occured, which was great, since this was an unexpected expense. Maria wanted to make sure I was happy with the job that they did.
