Royal Stone Granite Countertops LLC

We remodeled our kitchen in 2008. We bought our granite countertop (Butterfly Verde) from Royal Stone. We got estimates from several sources, but I went with Royal Stone to save a few dollars. Big mistake! After they installed my countertop and I walked in the kitchen to check it, I was shocked. About 2/3 of the granite had the bull-nose edge like I had ordered and the other 1/3 had a beveled edge. This was at the point of division. This was my first purchase of granite and I was not as familiar with what I should be looking for, but this was impossible to miss. I called the sales lady I had purchased it from and told her what had happened. They sent the crew back out and they ground it down to a bull-nose edge and she came out and sealed it. But it has never had the shine the 2/3 has and the grain (or design) looks different. Not a lot of difference in it, but enough to notice. The seam was rough at the point of division. They worked on that also, but it still is to this day. I am sure they had leftover granite from another job and was instructed to use it. The crew just failed to correct the edge before they left the shop. This, in my opinion, is very shoddy work and cutting corners on the customer. I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

. Workers (2) arrived at 11 am and removed old ceramic tile from counter tops and island, also removed ceramic tile back splash. Installed granite counter top and under-mount sink, also island top. Removed all old tear out materials and hauled off. Completed this work around 6 pm. The next day they arrived at 10:30am and installed the travertine stone back splash. Had problems with the tile saw so the job was not completed until the next day. Cleaned up all materials.
