Everything went great with The Gen Stop, the technician was extremely helpful and informative on letting us know what the problem was and what would be needed to correct it. They always arrived exactly when they said they would which made planning simple. Their customer service was very helpful with getting us scheduled and keeping us updated on the next steps to getting everything back up to working status for the generator. Will definitely continue to use them for services for our generator!

We were given a quote on 3/13/13 and received the final contracts for work on 4/24/13. At the time of final contract, we were told that all of the work would take 4 days to complete. We paid the deposit about a week later ($3455.00 about half of the total of $6885.00). On 6/4 we emailed Riverview since the work had not yet been started. On 6/6 we were pushed off for yet another week. At this point we received word from NOLAwise that they would have to grant us special permission to still receive the rebate for energy savings since we were beyond the date of completion. After several missed and last minutes cancelled appointments, the work finally began on 6/11. Over the next several weeks we were cancelled on 7 times for work to be completed. Keeping in mind that we were told that this job would only take 4 days to complete, it was becoming very obvious that we were not a priority project for this company and their promptness nor customer service mattered to them. When they did the solar attic fan, it was put in the middle of the front of the roof. This was done without regards to the aesthetics of the home, or without conferencing with us first. Although this issue has been resolved, but it took several cancelling of appts before it was. We also had to provide the roofing material out of our own pocket to fix their mistake. The debris removed from under the house was left on the sides of our house, making it difficult for our tenants to enter their apartment and then later left in bags on the front lawn for 2 weeks. Thus, killing our grass. After several more no-shows and cancels, the final work was not finished until 7/16/13. During this time, Wayne Erdman (our primary contact) has made it a point of demanding money for work not yet completed and has gotten progressively ruder, letting phone calls and emails go unreturned and even getting to the point of intentionally hanging up on me. We've desperately tried to work with NOLAwise for communication assistance, but to no resolve. Due to the energy incentive through NOLAwise, we waited to pay the final 10% of the contract. The final walk through was completed on Thursday July 18th at 6:00 PM. We put a check in the mail and mailed it as a certified letter. In the few days it took for the final walk through to be completed, we were harassed by Riverview over the final payment. From final contract to today this and quot;4 day projectand quot; has taken 77 days to complete (from May 1st). The constant delaying of work, roofing material and grass seed has cost us not only time and money, but has been a huge imposition into our lives and our home. When it came time for payments we were not given the same respect we gave them in expectation of a time frame for work to be completed. We will never use this company again and will strongly recommend our friends and acquaintances against them.
Description of Work: We were first connected with Riverview Construction on 2/25/13 thru the NOLAwise energy initiative incentive; a program that offers a rebate when you increase your homes energy efficiency by 15%. The program required the contract to be completed by 5/31/13 in order to receive the rebate. We contracted with Riverview Construction to install spray foam insulation, a solar attic vent, debris removal from under our house, sealing of all outlets and around windows, door gaskets to stop air infiltration and a few other energy related items.

Response from The Gen Stop
We appreciate the chance to respond as we feel the events we slightly different. We were hired by these members through an exclusive program that RiverView and only two other contractors are a part of (Nola Wise - now over) that provides a $750 dollar rebate as long as the structure is improved by 15%. We placed a bid for Insulation, Air Sealing, Radiant Barrier, Spray Foam insulation, and etc. After some negotiation RiverView agreed to allow the homeowner to perform some of the task and still be able to receive the incentive of $750 each (he had a multi-family) so $1500 + $500 tax credit, $1,782 off the cost of the work from Energy Smart and another $550 Directly from RiverView. So a savings of over $4,332! And a 30% reductions in energy cost for life! Time, we understand is very important but we also had to wait for this member to complete his work and with the acceptance of RiverView agreeing to assist to a level most contractors would not do, RiverView, Still, has provided the best end result. An “F” maybe a B. RiverView prides itself with the best product, highest quality install and many years of satisfaction with lower energy bills and comfort. I’m sure many got slightly aggravated by the time it took Picasso or Da Vinci, but we enjoy it every day too. (Note: he installed the Radiant Barrier and Batt insulation - nice job too, even more energy saving!)(we apologize if anyone thought we disrespected our client, cell phones still drop call so much) Don’t be discouraged, other Incentives are available - maybe we can save you thousands too. Thanks Wayne

I originally met with Wayne Erdman of Riverview Solar for energy improvements. Wayne made an assessment of my situation and determined that I would benefit most from foam insulation in the walls, coverings on the windows and a solar panel system. I had already installed foam insulation in the rafters and subflooring (house is raised). It should also be noted that Wayne did not recommend more than I needed for my situation. He kept the energy upgrades very realistic. The crew that came out was very professional and always on time. They did an outstanding job and work was completed in a very timely manner. I was very satisfied with all work done and will recommend that Riverview be at the top of anyone's list for any home or commercial improvements, energy or otherwise.
Description of Work: Provider installed a solar panel system, foam insulation in the walls of my house and installed solar screening on the windows.

Wayne and his crew are very professional. They arrive on time and completed the project as promised. I have recommended them to people who are looking to go green. The tax breaks and incentives were also a good motivator to make the changes. So far, my electric bill has gone down significantly.
Description of Work: I got solar panels and a geo-thermal A/C and heating system which is buried underground. No more unsightly A/C condenser unit on the side of my house or the need to elevate it!

We sincerely enjoyed working with our clients and are pleased to provide excellent service. I believe you should be able to trust your contractor and know they will be there to perform your request. Converting to a energy efficient home is not the quickest procedure and the customer was very patient and understanding. With pets to assist during the transition we employe only the friendly staff to care for them. Thanks again many, Wayne

They are very professional and I like the professional advice I can get from them. They came out and gave us an evaluation on what we would need to put solar panels on our house as well as several other energy saving plans. We agreed to have the solar panels put on and they came out and installed them. I can say for certain that all the energy improvements have increased the quality of life in the house and lowered the energy bills. All the way around I am pleased with his evaluation and his assessment. I have an older house and he worked with us to keep the aesthetics of the house in tact while still being able to implement his recommendations.
