I can't say enough great things about Southern Air and the technician, James Spearman. I had my A/C serviced on 6-2 by Southern Air. It stopped blowing cold air, so I called Southern Air. Within 2 hours I had the technician, James Spearman at my door. He was very courteous and professional. He quickly diagnosed my problem and fixed it. With the extreme heat, it is comforting to know if you have an A/C problem, Southern Air is there to quickly and professionally fix it. Thanks again to Southern Air and the technician, James Spearman. Great Job!!.

Everything went well. The technician was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He called and asked if he could come early which was a plus. We were very pleased with our service.

Did not complete all items during installation and required me to call them back to complete. They were very willing to correct all things and easy to work with.

Their estimates are 50% higher than Colby Air who replaced not only my AC unit but new coils AND we added a HEPA/MIRV11 filtration system to ensure a healthier and safe environment for our family. But the upside to Southern is that they FINANCE. The estimate for a complete system was $6,500 not including HEPA filtration. Colby did it all for $3,883 including the new filtration system. It's a York system rather than the Carrier systems Southern sells & services. All things being equal you can research brands as I have & I found York to be equal or better in some areas. Price was the difference.

They were punctual. I have been using them for a couple of years.

Two parts were found that needed to be replaced on my air handler. The transformer and capacitor were both changed. This did not cost since the system was under warranty. The warranty expires in July, so I am glad this was found while the parts were still under warranty. So, the parts were free because of warranty and labor was free because of service club membership. If this had happened in August and I didn't have service club membership, this would have cost at least $500. My cost was 0.

Great! Technician was on time, professional and explained what he was doing and why.

The guy that came was a little nervous and his foot fell through the roof. They had to get somebody to repair the hole in the attic.

They're pretty good. I recommend their service. They showed up when they said they were. At one time, there was a slight problem. But they called and cancelled in plenty enough time. They had told me the day before that they might not be able to come and they would call me, and they did. They called the morning of the appointment they called to verify who the technician that was coming was. They called to say he was going to be about an hour later than they originally said. They kept the customer aware of what was going on. I had a couple of issues and I called them. They came right back out and finished the last half of the work. They're a pretty good company. Their prices were competitive with another company, but I saved a couple of hundred dollars going with them versus the other company. I have a service contract with them now.

The electricians took care of my electrical needs quickly and efficiently, and noticing that I had gotten my riding mower stuck in the mud, without asking they got it out of the mud for me. Unbelievable customer service!!!n Very pleasant and friendly men. I highly recommend them.

It was good. They were on time and seemed efficient. They were very responsive and on time- I did not have to wait for them.

The person that came out was very professional, knowledgeable and courtesy. He checked out heating unit completely pointing out several things that need my attention. When this person leaves, we do not have to worry about it breaking down because it has been thoroughly checked.

The installers were on time as promised and the office called before their arrival to let me know they were coming to do the work. The removal of the old duct work and installation of the new duct work took less than three hours. Tthe two installers cleaned as they installed with no waste laying around. All waste was removed in plastic garbage bags and disposed of properly. I was completely satisfied with the work done and the knowledge of the installers. I also signed up for their preventive maintenance program which includes a Pre-Winter and Pre-Summer Checkup, after all they are just like a car which requires regular maintenance.

The unit was low on freon, dirty and they found a leak in one of the coils which I did not have him replace. He found a capacitor that was malfunctioning and the fan motor was getting hot. He replaced the capacitor and added 4 lbs of R22. Also, he gave me and estimate on how much it would be to replace the A/C unit. He was nice, friendly, and very knowledgeable.

After speaking with the company, the big deal does not qualify for the work I needed. In place of the deal, they offered me a year package with them for a little over $100. Now I can use them all year and will save a considerable amount of money. They were very honest!

Service was great. He was ontime although I was not. He was very polite and helpful. He answered the questions I had and was very profesional. I would recomend southern air.

Explained repairs needed very well on 06/25/13. Although very expensive work, was offered a 36 month, no-interest payment plan through coil carrier. Workers expected at 5 am, but arrived at 8 am on 06/28/13. Stayed until 9:30 pm (a little too late on a Friday night). No significant improvement noted in AC that weekend. The following week, house was very warm. Personnel from office called following Monday to have paperwork signed for financing, but didn't show on Monday as planned and called on Tuesday (07/16/13) to reschedule. Having plans, I left home after waiting for 45 minutes. Informed company that I refused to sign anything until AC worked. Sent person out later that evening who provided temporary fix for frozen up coil. Next day supervisor called with yet another problem. Stated I needed a new condenser, but offered to install a used one that was still under warranty at no charge. Different workers arrived who had to replace coil just installed. Some disagreement among workers about how this was to be accomplished. Supervisor called next day with yet another problem. Said I needed a new condenser, but offered to install a used one that was still under warranty at no charge. Asked that grill be replaced, as new one installed was scratched up. Called another AC person (owner of B &C Air Conditioning/Heating in Haughton) to come and inspect the work done so far. He discovered the pan was full of water, the plenum was not level, and the work was sloppy. He discussed this with a supervisor who was present. Work was completed and I told them I was not signing paperwork until AC worked correctly for a week or two and my AC friend approved of the work. After two weeks, office personnel contacted me and arrived at scheduled time and paperwork was signed. Two days later the office called to inform me that the no-interest plan was not available, as offer date had expired but there was other financing available. Stated "no way, not what I agreed to." This was my last contact with Southern Air. In all fairness to Southern Air, all workers were extremely nice, professional, cleaned up very well after themselves (best ever), and most of all, were very careful not to let my dog out of the gate. In addition, they did everything they could to make things right. It was just an expensive, drawn out, frustrating experience. I'll probably call B & C Air Conditioning and Heating.

I wasn't very happy. It's still running and hasn't failed yet. I haven't had to add any freon and it's doing beautifully. I haven't done anything and I'm glad I didn't buy a new unit from him last March like he suggested. He spent a fair amount of time trying to find the leak, but it must not have been a very bad leak if it's still running a year later and it was low on freon to begin with. I don't intend on using them again. I don't know if he was inept or an honest mistake or if he was just trying to sell me another unit that day or what. I thought he did a good job on the new unit that I didn't expect any problems with, but the second one I don't think he did a very good job if he said it was about ready to fail and it lasted for another year.

A weak compressor and improper ducting .

We had asked each prior company as we suspected the leak issue but no one had any good answers. We finally found the leak and sought out a reputable company through Angie's List, Southern AC and had them fix it and we signed a service contract for all 4 of our units because of their response and care of the situation. We are a commercial building with tenants and their comfort is exceedingly important to us. You can imagine how frustrating it was for all of us when the temps were over 100 for over 2 months. Thank you Southern.

Harry was our service person. He did a thorough job on cleaning and ensuring the furnace was working properly. He took the time to explain what he did and even showed us when we asked.
