We came home while the work was being done and it looked frankly, awful with a sag in the middle portion with tiles coming up especially on the edges and they were misaligned. This was pointed out. The next day the entire section of roof was off the house and only rafters were showing!! We definitely had a language barrier with the workers on site and we are not sure that the foreman was understanding our contractor either. We did not say anything unsure if this was part of the plan but when we came home again the roof was double roofed, is the only way to try and describe it. It was basically a disaster and the original problem along the gutter line with the roof tiles coming up was not addressed. We had to demand that a new roofer be hired and this group be off the job. Essentially we said that they should not come near our roof again! I would never, ever hire them knowingly!!

I was very disappointed in Roofing by Martinez for several reasons: 1. Roofing was supposed to be for the house only. I happened to come home one day while a worker was on the roof of the gazebo (which is in disrepair) and had already reroofed it and was going to the outside shed next (also not in the contract). Mr. Martinez re-adjusted to remove the charge, but I always felt that adjustments were shifted to cover his costs.... 2. While they were in the process of re-roofing, it rained. Two foot long water stains appeared next to one of the sky lights. I was horrified because this section had already been re-roofed. Oh good grief, I thought, this does not bode well. 3. And it did not bode well. A little over a year later another water leak appeared in another section of the house. In fact, after all was said and done, water marks covered a huge section of that ceiling--about six feet by six feet. I called Martinez to come repair it. He did, but the leak continued. Then Mrs. Martinez told me they would have to charge for repair at this point because my warranty had run out. What?!!, I said. So, no they did not come, nor did I want them to. I had no confidence in their ability to give me a good roof by this time. 4. Where the plastic domes (or whatever the substance) part of the skylights are attached to the frames, each is cracked where the screw was too tightly replaced. Positive points: 1. Mr. Martinez is a very nice man. He thought I was alone and invited me to his home for Thanksgiving dinner. That alone says volumes about him. 2. The job was done in a timely manner. His workers were very courteous. I wish I didn't have to write this negative review, but after they were going to charge me $150 for a repair of something that was their fault--that was just the bottom line for me. Saying that a warranty had run out on their installation for a $8000 roof was quite insulting. I also wish to point out that I did not pay immediately. In fact, I waited a month because of that first leak and wanted to make sure that another would not take place. Now several years later I still cringe when it rains and look for new damage.

They were responsive and prompt to replace my roof. We were almost the first in the neighborhood to have the roof replaced. Some people are still waiting for one of the roofing companies to get to them almost 5 months later. They came back later when we realized the problems with the facia and soffits rotting.

They were very responsive and after examination found discrepancies with the insurance adjusters report. Went to the trouble to document the items and, after review, the insurance company made the adjustments. They were prompt, worked quickly and left the site clean. I also had them repair and replace my facia and soffits which were rotting at a later date.
