About us

Permatox Pest Control Inc. was established in Shreveport by Len Poole. It is a local family owned and operated business under the licensed operators Len Poole (father) and Kevin Poole (son). Kevin and Carla Poole run the daily operations of the business. Permatox has been servicing Bossier, Caddo, Desoto, and Webster Parishes since July 1976. Permatox takes care of many large and small businesses, restaurants, and residential homes in the Shreveport & Bossier City area. Permatox Pest Control, Inc. services the following cities in Louisiana; Shreveport, Barksdale Air Force Base, Bossier City, Keithville, Doyline, Keatchie-Gloster, Grand Cane, Frierson, Benton, Hosston, Ida, Gilliam, Haughton, Princeton, Mooringsport, Blanchard, Greenwood, Vivian, Stonewall, Oil City, and Minden. We have pest control professionals that have been with our company since 1982. All of the Permatox professionsals are certified and attend continuing education seminars each year. Services we offer

Permatox Pest Control offers Pest Control contracts and one time services. We also are licensed for Termite Inspections, Sentricon Termite Colony Elimination System, Liquid Termite treatment, and Wood Destroying Insect Reports when closing on a home. Termite treatments include traditional liquid treatment and we are also an authorized dealer of the Sentricon Termite Elimination System. Mosquito Systems and fogging treatments are also available.

Description of Work: I used Permatox for insect and pest control for about a year. I really had not been using anyone for several years, and did not notice the need, but my daughter complained that she was seeing ants in her "apartment" out back of the main house. I paid a little more than the advertised quarterly price for the apartment out back, which was reasonable. The agent was exceptional and I never had any problems come up while she was "spraying" the house. However, I had to spend extra money on other things that came up, and had to terminate the contract after a year for that reason. I might note that I still don't seem to have a problem with pests, but glad that she gave it a good check.

Description of Work: Joe came out and sprayed/baited for wood roaches in an older house that my wife and I just built. We signed up for the bi-monthly service agreement for $63 every other month. I have been noticing a dead roch or three every couple of days, so I am assuming whatever he sprayed is working very well. Joe explained everything to use very well and told us if we see anything inbetween our next service date to call him and he would come spray again at no cost. Sounds like a good deal to me!

We've used them for the last year. We pay them $60 every two months. We've never used an exterminator before but we moved to the south and I don't like bugs so I guess I am happy with them. The guy that is assigned to our house has been good at educating me. Their price is the same as everybody else in the area but I’m not excited about it.

They call to see of everything is going well, and are very friendly. They show up at the expected times, in general. Very nice to deal with, and no problems whatsoever.

Description of Work: They spray monthly for pests and plant termite control chemicals in the yard around the house. Recently had a area of stucco that rotted out. In doing the repair he found extensive termite damage. I have tried to contact Permatox numerous times but they will not return my calls and refuse to honor the termite warranty that I had. Also obviously their termite control did not prevent damage to my house. Don't go near these folks. thomas smith
