In the spring of 2010 our sewer backed up. We called Holoman Plumbing. When they were unable to find our sewer cleanout they said they could install one for us and we assumed that that is what they had done. The problem seemed to be corrected and we were happy customers. In the fall of 2012 our sewer backed up again. When I looked in the cleanout pipe, it was obvious that our line was stopped up where the cleanout hooked into the main sewer line. We called a plumber and when he had finished cleaning the line he showed us the real problem. Our sewer line was full of roots growing in where the cleanout pipe attached to the sewer line. When Hololman installed our cleanout, rather than splice a cleanout pipe into the sewer line, they just cut a hole in the sewer pipe, stuck another pipe over the hole and called it done. Roots were growing into the sewer at this connection. To make matters worse, they then covered the whole mess up with concrete that now must be dug out of the ground in order to install a proper cleanout. We contacted Holoman Plumbing and Cody Holoman promptly came to investigate. He dug down in our yard until he hit concrete. He told my wife he'd be back in two days to complete the reapir. He was to call and let us know exactly when. He never called to confirm the appointment. When we finally talked again he said it was going to cost $500 for him to correct our problem. He says that Holoman Plumbing is no longer in business. He states that his business is Holoman Repair and Drain Busters and, despite the fact that they share the same phone number and address, his company has no relation to Holoman Plumbing and he bears no responsibility for their poor work. I disagreed and ultimately he hung up on me. We are left with bad plumbing and a hole dug in our front yard.

The workers never showed up the first day when we were told they would be there at nine. They showed up the next day, five hours late. In the process of removing the tub and replacing the pipes, the plumbers ruined the carpet in our hallway (they tracked mud, muck, and putty all over the floor). They left the toilet in the front yard for over a week before my husband moved in into the carport. We had to have the entire floor replaced in the bathroom due to broken tiles. The plumber never informed us that he would be using an outside company for the tile surround in the tub. Once we ordered from the marble company, we had to wait an additional two weeks for the marble to be ordered, shipped and installed. After calling for several days, the plumber sent someone out to install the fixtures in the shower. The hot faucet runs cold water and vice versa. We had to finish around the fixtures since the plumber didn't. After this, I haven't heard from the plumber. He has not come out to finsih around the tub (something we did ourselves), the toliet has not been reset. He never even attempted to repair the damage that was in the half bathroom. And to top it all off, our tub still doesn't drain any faster than it did beofre he came out and destroyed our bathroom and hallway. We paid him half of the cost before the work was complete, which was a huge mistake on our part. I guess half the money was all he wanted because he hasn't came back to finish the work for the rest of his money. Don't hire this compnay - Drainbusters/Paul Holloman Plumbing.
Description of Work: Our tub was draining slow due to some pipe issues under the tub. Holloman Plumbing told us they would come over, remove the tub, replace the pipes, replace the tile in the tub surround, and reset the toliet in order to fix the slow draining pipes.

Holomon was hired to fix a job botched by another plumber, who roto rooted through a bathroom drain toilet line leading to the main house drain. He hired unskilled labor displaced by hurricane Katrina to do most of the work and did not have a permit to do the job (as required by Parish and State plumbing regulations). The work required breaking a 5' by 6' concrete slab and uninstallation of our pool pump to get to the line break. He never showed up when he stated that he would, but when he did, he would simply drop off his workers(with no food or drink), show them what he wanted done, then leave for the entire day, come back, inspect and then take them back, often very late after dark. He offered to also address a slow draining patio drain system using his pressure hose. After two months of off and on work, he finaly had the leak fixed but not quite on the patio drain. On a Friday, as we were leaving for a weekend trip, he insisted that we pay him for his work, even though he would have to come back to finish the patio drain. He charged nearly $5,000 for the drain repair (original purpose) and just over $1,000 for the patio drain issue. He never came back to finish the patio drain, and I later found out why: it drained into a sump, and the pump was bad. A simple $50 pump was all that was needed to fix that drain. He never returned our calls to come back out, and even threatened to call the police for harassment on us. The pool system leaked from the first few days after we put the pool back in to operation, and eventually had to replace the piping and filtration mechanism as he reinstalled it crooked and tightened the fitting too tightly, cracking 80% of them. He also destroyed the original work order receipts, rewriting them to reflect all of the charges (just over $6,000) for the drain repair. In doing so, it put the hourly labor charge (for unskilled labor, mind you) at $80 an hour and grossly overstated the hours worked (they would work about 4 hrs each day, though they stayed at our home up to 8-10 hrs each day). Avoid this company!!!
