Description of Work: Fireplace Specialties has been consistently exceptional from the time period when three different types of fireplaces were installed by them during the remodel of our home and since that time with preventative maintenance and cleaning services that have been completed. They are professional, effective, efficient and very knowledgeable about the products and are genuinely nice and personable. Dustin has been exceptional from the first time we met him and I am always glad to have him back in our home. I highly recommend Fireplace Specialties in Shreveport!

+ -1 moreBought a Quadrafire fireplace insert in October of 2003 from Fireplace Specialties in Shreveport, LA. Love the insert. Seven years later I went to the same business to buy replacement firebricks per owner's manual instructions. No one at the store could help me. Didn't have a clue and wanted me to provide the brick measurements. They didn't know what kind or size I needed and they still sell the same model. I called them from home, one hour away, a few days later and gave the guy the item number for a set of bricks from the owner's manual. He still didn't know what to do with it so I FAXED him a copy of the brick sizes and layout diagram from the owner's manual. He said he would get a cost and call me back. 3 weeks later, nothing! They have certainly lost my business and I plan to build a new log home soon with another free-standing fireplace, but not from Shreveport specialties. I had to find the bricks online and order with a 4 week delivery time. I bought the fireplace locally so I could have personal contact with them for cases like this and they totally failed me. In total I made one drive to the store, 4 phone calls and a fax and still got no assistance or callback. Buyers beware!
