RANDY REAUX

he was referred to me by a friend. I called him, explained what I needed. he said he would call me back. 2 wks later I called him, he didn't want the job as he would have to use a ladder. I later found out he continues to paint for my friend (yes, uses a ladder)

We contracted with Mr. Reaux to paint. He did not sand everything properly. He left some mudded places unsanded and painted over the unsanded mudded areas. He did not sand properly inbetween coats on some woodwork. We had to go over some of his work.

After the wait, we were told he would be mailing us a written estimate. We went over pricing options by phone and was told by Randy himself that his wife was typing up the quote and would send it to us. A couple days later, we actually received a letter stating he would not be taking on additional projects. I wish he wouldn't have held up our project so long and would have been honest if he wasn't able to take on additional work.

He textured the walls and left the extra mud on wood work then painted over it. He came back to redo peeling paint by sanding priming and repainting it. He did very little sanding. He primed over the peeling paint leaving big ridges. The owner of a local paint store came to look at it and said it was the worst paint job he had ever seen. He also put hinges on the cabinets (76 of them). 15 of the screws were broken because they were the wrong size and he forced them on anyway. Then he wrote a letter saying the hindges didn't fit. I then had to pay someone else to take them off and I had to buy new ones.

I would use his services again and recommend him to any friend.

He is very trustworthy, and does a great job!
