Description of Work: Built a deck for my pool. They were there on time and completed the job in a day. I did not know exactly what I wanted so they took the time to show me many options. Was a great experience and the deck is wonderful.

Showed up on time exactly as promised. Cost was exactly as quoted. Will definitely use this company for future work.
Description of Work: I provided measurements and asked for suggestions. Mr. Fontenot and his site manager made excellent recommendations. Installed the deck and cleaned up all debris from old steps.

I love it. If I have been able to make up my mind on what design to use, I would of had it done a lot sooner. They were excellent, I didn't even have to give them an up front deposit. They did the work and finished it in one day. All of the old stuff that they tore out, they took it all away.
Description of Work: They replaced a previous deck for me. They removed the old deck and installed the new one.

It was horrible, I'm still fixing his mistakes.
Description of Work: Dana claimed to have built several houses including his own; looking back, it's obvious he didn't know the first thing about building homes. Work started on my home that he agreed to build for $55K to just be a starter home for my girlfriend and I with our new baby. After work finally began, the concrete finisher he had on the job poured the houses' front wall six inches wider than the back wall..not only that it was terribly un-level. The 1440 sq. ft. home which was supposed to be only about 29 yards of concrete total, turned out to be 86 yards!!! (of course they did re-pour a 4 inch slab on top of the original slab because there was a 5 inch dip in the middle of the house) My slab is breaking in half due to the weight of itself. Oh, the plumbing was all wrong in the slab also...no p-traps for anything or vents for anything. Drain pipes were exposed to the outside after some form boards were removed. They never removed all the form boards because they are stuck in concrete that leaked out during the pour between the joints where said boards met. Walls that were supposed to be 2X6 were framed up 2X4; electrical that he had installed was COMPLETELY wrong and had to be totally gutted and replaced; (alot of insulation I had put in had to be re-done also because of this) out of six windows and two doors total, all of them leaked due to incorrect flashing; I had to come out of pocket for lots of things that were agreed upon in original deal; (including tight-sheeting or double walling of ceiling -when you tight-sheet a house you tight sheet the whole house, including the ceiling-) sheetrock finishing was horrible, we can still see screw heads and every stud line where sheetrock was secured to wall throughout the house; dip in ceiling in kitchen; ALL building debris thrown on ground right outside of house; (we had to remove it all) he even wanted me to run my home off of the temporary electric pole (only 60 amp pole) because GET THIS!! NO PERMITS WERE EVER GOTTEN FOR CONSTRUCTION OF HOME and electric company wouldn't turn on power to home without permits! Wow, right? ..not done yet. Crown moulding was hung wrong, cut wrong, and looks like a jerry rigged job by a two-bit framer that never learned how to use a real miter saw. After he was taken off the job this guy never tried to contact me, or answer my calls, certified mail I sent him, nothing. NUTS! It's like he was hoping I would just go away. I ended up spending over $106,000 dollars not to mention all the out of pocket expenses that went into what was originally supposed to cost me $55,000 dollars and it was supposed to be completed in a month and a half...well it took me well over a year after I had hired people to come in and re-do almost the whole house. Imagine trying to move in and having jack hammers breaking up your whole house to install new drains. You are probably wondering why I let all this go and kept handing him money; I am wondering that same thing. It all boils down to trust. I trusted him because we were supposed to be friends. He kept telling me the whole time that he was going to fix all the "little things" that needed to be fixed. He was going to make allowances at the end of the job for all the wrong lumber that was used, inconveniences, everything that wasn't exactly up to par. We never got to the "end" of the job. As a matter of fact, it is still on-going. I could write a novel on this build but my point here is to let people know what we are going through and have been living with for the last two years. DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND THANK GOODNESS FOR SITES LIKE THIS!
