+ -1 moreThe technician was nice and polite but clearly did not do the job requested. The previous homeowner was paying St. Pierre's to do the clean up and I still have yet received a invoice as proof of them coming out. I'm stuck with a system from 2006 that is failing already.
Description of Work: Work requested was a complete service of the HVAC system and to give it a clean bill of health. St. Pierre's cleaned the outside unit fairly good, but when they checked the levels of pressure in the system they were reading very low. It was a cool day about 68 degrees outside and St. Pierre's stated the weather was causing it to read low and they refused to charge the system with Puron due to the outside temperature. This is a total joke, if you look at the back panel of the unit it has a charging chart that lists the pressures you should expect to see due to various humidity/temperature. With this knowledge another company charged the system with 3 lbs of Puron. The flat out refusal of St. Pierre's to charge the system shows they could care less and clearly have no clue what their doing. The next thing they did was clean the evaporator coils in the attic with a water solution. Never once was it pointed out the coils were very rusted indicating a major issue. St. Pierre's never took off any panels of the unit in the attic. The unit was installed in 2006 by the way and the evaporator coils look like coils taken out of a 10+ year unit. After St. Pierre's left I still was having issues with high humidity and cooling issues with the system. I'm no HVAC repair man but I took the panel off the unit in the attic and noticed the drail line inside the unit was disconnected causing evaporater coil water to leak into the blower part of the system. Black mold was growing and the insulation was soaked. St. Pierre's was the one that installed the unit so I'm assuming they installed it properly from the get go. I tried getting the coils replaced from Carrier and they are now out of warranty and refuse to replace them. I will be lucky to get a few more years out of a system installed by St. Pierre's in 2006. Finally, check the BBB rating on St. Pierre's, they are rated an F for a reason.

+ -1 moreI have a five contract with them to do maintenance twice a year. They are very reasonable. If a part brakes they replace it because of the contract. I find that the contract was extremely reasonably priced. I also did a 10year contract prior to that.
Description of Work: I use St Pierre's Svc for heating and air-conditioning maintenance. The last time they were out here was about two weeks ago.
