STAY AWAY -218 days to complete job; (straighten a few poles and replace a 22 ft section) -prior to that, 3 times told someone would show up on Monday morning; All 3 times no-one showed and no-one called. -2 additional times was told they were 2-3 weeks behind and someone would call; No-one called. - Countless times had to call or text to either find out why they didn't show up or what was going on. - Once they finally arrived in May, installed wrong fence boards and just left without checking with me first. - Once they came back, they cut the bottoms of fence boards freehand with a circular saw which left the entire bottom of the fence crooked. (none of the boards were 90 degrees on bottom) They again left without checking with me. - Once another crew came back, they only arrived with 9 fence boards and said we'd have to reschedule again. - They finally finished the job properly on 05-31-22, a full 218 days from the time we paid and a full 92 days after the projected start date. This experience was a nightmare. The best way I can describe their attitude is apathy. Once we paid the deposit, the communication was horrible if not virtually non-existent. We were patient until about a month after the projected start date. Then, we literally had to call and text constantly and constantly threaten to contact the state, the bbb, and leave bad reviews to get them to take us seriously. And even after that, they never took responsibility, never showed an ounce of respect for our money, our time, or our helplessness in the situation. There is something very wrong at this company. Incompetence? Not sure. Something has to be going on behind the scenes because I know several people who have interacted with them over the years and decades ago they used to be a premium company. Now? You will pay a premium price for a budget job from an apathetic group of people. STAY AWAY

We contacted several companies to replace the fence at our residence. Most did not answer the phone, return calls or were not willing to take on smaller projects. Forsythe Fence took our call and were quick to schedule a visit. Al was great to deal with, took all the measurements and wrote a quote while onsite. They had a backlog of work, but we were advised of this. We opted for full replacement of our ~130’ fence. The price included demo of the wood fence and also an old chain link fence. The new fence is 6’ cedar with cap & trim. They replaced all the supports and installed a new gate. The two person crew were nice guys and worked hard. They ran into a few obstacles but never complained and there were no added costs. We have a neighbor who has dogs, so they finished that side of the fence first. The fence is straight as an arrow with no flaws and they left the work site clean. After calling around, it was clear that these fence contractors are very busy (probably more so now after the hurricane). So, I appreciate their willingness to take on the project and great communication throughout. I expect this fence to last a long time! But if in need, I would use them again without question. They have our highest recommendation.

We had another company install posts, but after they were unable to see the job through, we had forsyther come out to finish it. Perhaps they would have done a better job of they had done the entire job. Our main complaints were panels initially installed crooked and some shoddy concrete work. They did return to even out the panels to our liking.

Our contact at Forsythe, Bryan, worked closely with us on the fence layout. He provided us with various estimates prior to the fence installation and met with us on the property to discuss options for the layout. He was patient as we revised our layout plans one last time a week before the installation date and returned our phone calls in a timely manner whenever we had questions and/or left voicemails. Forsythe required a 50% deposit on the quoted contract total, with the remainder due upon installation completion. The installation itself was done by an experienced fence-builder, Troy. He was friendly and communicated well with us, asking us to review the fence line, cedar slat placement, and cedar slat ground clearance. He worked by himself over the course of two days, first installing the fence poles in concrete and letting them cure a couple of days before he returned to install the actual cedar fence itself. Upon completion, Troy showed us our new fence and the gate and gate hardware operation. Bryan called two days later to follow up on installation and emailed the final invoice that same day with amount due after deposit. We'd highly recommend Forsythe Fence to anyone looking for residential fence installation. Their prices are competitive and customer service superb.

Called and was told to expect return call by next day. Never heard from them. Found another provider who kept his word and who did a good job.

After I called, Kevin was there a couple of days later to give me my estimate. He said there would be about a two week period before they could come, but it actually turned out to be about a week. The installers were very efficient and professional. Loving my gate!

Could not get anyone to call me for an estimate. NOTE: My rating of C should be N/A, but the Angie's list requires to answer all the 6 review questions, and N/A is not shown as a reply. I can't possibly rate the company, since they did not perform the work. That would be unfair. So my overall rating is Non-Applicable. NOTE: The question, WOULD I USE THE SERVICE PROVIDER IN THE FUTURE?? I answered yes, because again, Angie's list only offers yes or no as a reply. I don't know if I would use this company in the future. They may be the best local fence company in the area, but if they don't call back the customer, how would I know??

I contacted Forsythe by email and received a call from Kevin Forsythe the next day. Within a couple of days, he had made a site inspection and provided an estimate for services and approximate date work would begin. We felt like the cost was reasonable. Weather caused a couple of delays, but I was contacted and updated each time. The crew was professional, fast, and did a great job. The fence is well-built and attractive, all trash was removed as well as the old chain link, and we are very pleased with the results. I highly recommend Forsythe Fence Co.

It went very smoothly. The estimate was detailed and Kevin answered questions and provided options almost instantaneously. And, the price was one of the better ones we got. The only reason we didn't choose Forsythe was because of an old tree that we wanted to be careful with; we ended up choosing a landscaping company for the job. Now that I have seen how that was done, I would have preferred to have directly hired someone like Forsythe. The guys we used were pretty good, but I think Forsythe has better attention to detail (even in writing an estimate). I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future (I'm actually getting an estimate now for the next fencing job we have).

The first job was done on time with no additional costs. They preformed the job when they said it would be done and cleaned up after. The second one got to a rocky start, i called and called and could not get a call back. When he did call back he apologized and got me the price. I used them again and he worked me in to the schedule. He did as he said and came and got the job knocked out! IT is exactly what I wanted and I would recommend them to anyone. I am a tough cookie to please and don't recommend many but Kevin Forsythe did what he said and i feel sure he will for you as well.

I got them from Angie's List. They did an excellent job. They cleaned up behind themselves, they were here before time, and they just got the work done with no fooling around. They were absolutely fabulous! I would recommend them and I have to my neighbors. Everything they did was really quality work. They came when they said they were going to come out, gave me an estimate, and told me when they could do it. We took 3 people from Angie's List and we chose them. They were all within $10-$50 the same. I chose them because they have so many years of experience and they live in the same parish as I do, and the accessibility where if I have a problem I could actually go and speak to them. Their price was not the lowest, it was the medium. If I need to have any fencing work done, I would absolutely use them again. They were very responsible. They told me they would be there at 9:00, and at 8:00 they were knocking on my door and they asked if it was alright or they could leave, but I told them they could start early. The earlier, the better so it was fine. I was very happy with the company.

Very prompt & professional from the start. Beautiful workmanship. I called on them because I noticed work they did in the neighborhood a few blocks away and made note of the name becuase it was so well done. I am very satisfied and will definately call on them again.

It is okay. I am just not quite ready to do the job yet. They customer service was good and I will call them back when I am ready. They were very professional and came during the time they said they would come. They also followed up with me.

Forsythe was responsive, and helped figure out multiple options for what we were trying to accomplish. They were able to outline the work that needed to be done to prep the site, and then installation happened when it was supposed to.

I originally made contact with the company on December 19, 2012 to set up an appointment to get an estimate. Bryan Centanni met with me on December 21. He was on time for the appointment; if memory serves me correctly, he got to the appointment site ahead of the appointment time. He was very professional and courteous. I explained to him what I wanted and he took measurements and notes. He gave me a few design tips and ideas (which I was grateful for, because in retrospect, some of my ideas were not very good ones). I was e-mailed an estimate THAT evening (December 21, 2012). He did mention that because of the timing of the project (right smack up against the Christmas holidays), it might be early January before the work would commence. I responded to Bryan on December 22, accepting the terms of the estimate/contract. He got back with me on December 26 saying that the order would be processed. The work was completed by January 4, 2013. Excellent worksmanship; quality materials. The worksite was left very clean. I would absolutely use this company again for fence work.

I am 100% pleased with the job that Forsythe Fence Company performed for my repairs. I called Paul (the point of contact) to give me an estimate, and he arrived as promised. From that point on, he kept in touch with me and kept me posted of the progress. He was very professional, kind, and personable. Paul sent several crews of contractors to perform the work I described above. They did an extraordinarily beautiful job. I have never been so pleased with contract work! Forsythe fence company is hands-down the best fencing company in the state of Louisiana. For most jobs they don't ask for a cent until the customer is happy with the work. Paul did not call me or camp out at my front door for payment. The best thing was that Forsythe Fence Company accepts credit card payments. Now how cool is that? I very highly recommend Forsythe Fence Company for all your fencing needs. I give you my word you will not regret choosing Forsythe Fence Company!!! They are THE BEST...and their prices are very fair.

They did a great job. The only complaint i had was with some of the cement chunks and not all old boards being picked up. They were very pleasant to deal with. I would use them again.

The fence was beautifully done and was beautifully level at the top. However, due to irregularities in my lawn, there were intermittent gaps, about 6 inches in some places, between the fence and the ground. There were unacceptable because I have small dogs that cound get underneath the fence in some areas. So, for an additional fee, Forsythe installed boards at the bottom of the fence to fill in the gaps. It was professionally done. As noted by a previous reviewer, they did leave a significant amount of debris in the yard, including cement remnants from cementing the fence posts, however, after one call to the project manager, the majority of it was promptly picked up. I also later noticed they had left behind a metal pole they had implanted in my front yard, likely as a tool when marking out the area to be fenced, however, I was able to remove it with minimal effort, and put it to the curb for trash collection.

I was very disappointed with this company. I called several times to have someone one give me an estimate. No salesman ever called me back. Finally, the secretary gave my phone number to the owner who did call me and apologize. I had contacted another fencing contractor in the mean time and had signed a contract with them before I received a call from Forsythe. They did not work out for me. I don't know about the quality of their products but I can not give them a good rating for responsiveness.
