Pattons Renovation And A/C Repair

Kevin was sent to my house to rewire a thermostat 5/17/24. Everything seemed great and I paid my $100 warranty call out fee. I needed to get the unit cleaned before he would rewire my thermostat. We set an appointment for 6/17/24. Today is 7/7/24 and Kevin has missed 6 appointments to date. I have already paid a call out fee for no thermostat to be rewired and he has stopped answering calls. Before today, his tech Josh was always "on the way" or I "would be the first appointment the next morning" but he will not give me any contact information for this tech. I have paid his company to do the work and have sat at home all day for 6 different days waiting on someone to show or at least call and cancel and no work has been completed.

Patton's was sent to us by our Warranty Company. We have a $85 fee we have to pay to the technician when they arrive. I was told by Kevin, when I called to see what time he will be at my house, that he only takes cash. I told him I didn't have cash, and he said he would wait while I went to the bank. He came and looked at our hot water heater and proceeded to tell me that alot of times the Warranty company will not approve claims and the part is very hard to find.. He said if they did they may not pay him enough so I may have to pay the difference. He also said that this part may take a couple of weeks, and he also let me know several times, he takes care of his customers first. He then called whirlpool (the brand of our hot water heater), and they told him they had the part in stock and they could over night it for $40 or mail it regular mail for $11 and it would take 7-10 business days. Whirlpool also told him that they thought it could be something else, because from their experiences with this particular water heater the problem I was having was caused by this other problem. Kevin told me there was a 50/50 chance he was right and if it turned out to be the other problem, then I would have to come out of pocket because the warranty company wouldn't pay for both. I was like, so what you are saying it I have to pay you for your mistake. He basically said yes. I then asked if I could pay the difference so we could overnight it, with two children it would be very hard to go without hot water for 2 weeks. Kevin told me it would look to see if he could find the part locally. I then texted him later that evening and asked again if we could pay the difference for the overnight fee, he told me that he decided to use another company and it is now $150 to overnight and if I didn't do that it would now be 10-14 days until it came in. That's when I called the warranty company and asked for another company.

Tech was great, very professional, presented his licensure, dressed in a company uniform, inspected a/c, realized it needed better cleaning than what previous guy stated he did. Tech showed me what to look for when getting unit cleaned, he “thoroughly” cleaned the unit, checked Freon level, flow from vents, flushed a line to treat for possible algae. Not only was the system well cleaned, assurance system was working properly but also a teaching moment for me. I’m a single, adoptive mom of a disabled child and I so appreciate his time, patience and respectfulness to me. I will always request them for any other needed issues and have them do my yearly system maintenance from here on out.

After my last review, Kevin contacted me. We discussed what had led me to contact my Home Warranty company after my unit stopped working. He apologized and told me there was a 30 day warranty on his work, which I was unaware of. He strives for customer satisfaction. The issue has been resolved to my satisfaction.

I called, they came promptly and made a diagnosis. They gave me a price to fix the problem. I agreed and they scheduled the repair the next day. Work was done satisfactorily at he agreed upon price.

Kevin was great. He came out on a Sunday morning, serviced ourAC unit, had it cooling again. Great company would recommend them to anyone.

Kevin Patton is an excellent owner that does exceptional work. He is extremely passionate about his business and saw that our new air conditioner was installed in a very timely matter. The service and satisfaction of his customers is his top priority. He saw that our installation of our new unit went without any problems. Kevin and JT arrived before their specified time. My AC was not blowing at all, and within minutes of their arrival, my unit was blowing again. He also cleaned my outside coils, and changed dual and run caps. The price was reasonable, and I feel confident that the job was well done. The professionalism and comfort ability level of this company is outstanding. I will definitely continue to use his services. Thank you Kevin, my AC is up and running, and I didn't have to acquire a loan to pay for it :)
