In preparation for a long-awaited bathroom remodel, I decided to try and circumvent excess dust in the rest of the house by putting a large towel in the duct vent in that particular bathroom. MOLD was discovered! Upon checking other ducts, it appeared to be in all of them. After careful research, a company in Mississippi was contacted, M.R.T.E. (Mold Remediation and Testing Experts). They called back very promptly, and Steve Brown spoke at length about his passion, mold. An inspection appointment was scheduled for testing almost immediately. Six different samples were taken from ducts throughout the house, air samples both inside and outside, as well as under the house. Samples were submitted to the lab they use, with results returned overnight. M.R.T.E. suggests remediation (removal) at any mold spore level above 500 per cubic meter (for our specific mold type) in your home. Ours was ~1900!!! It was indicated this high level of colonization occurred over an approximate 10-year time frame, which meant weâ d been breathing this in our air for that length of time. Our home is circa 1962, as are many homes in this area. We had no idea the mold was present, since it isnâ t clearly visible, nor could it be smelled...UNTIL I began preparing for the bathroom remodel. A team of 4 spent 5.5 hours scrubbing, vacuuming, spraying, removing moldy insulation from under the house (17 33-gallon bags of it). They were professional, informative, friendly, guarantee their work, and we found them to be less expensive than most local remediation companies. POINT: If you have ANY doubt, have your home inspected, particularly if you have infants, elderly, or those with chronic conditions living in the home. It just might save loved ones from serious illness (allergies, asthma, COPD, pneumonia) and may even add years to your life that the mold would have insidiously tried to steal from you! Very responsive, they offered to send tester out within bout 48 hrs. Results were given 24 hrs after samples taken. Cost effective.

A leaky roof in just the right climate combined with an insurance company that drug their feet on my roof claim meant I got mold at my house. Other companies quoted 2x what these guys do for the same work. They were professional and timely with everything, from the initial testing to the insurance paperwork to the actual treatment. They took care to explain things and were polite. I had to leave them alone in my house for a period of time so I could go to work for a few hours and they proved trustworthy and took care of clean up and everything. If they had a question, they called me. And they changed my air filter. I hope I never have mold again, but if I did, these would be the ones I'd call. Residential or business. Big or small. We ended up not needing the service but I wanted to give a review anyway. Peyton was wonderful to us. VERY responsive and talked and texted with me for over a week while we were trying to get my daughter's apartment worked on. This was a landlord issue and not an issue we could clean ourselves. We moved her out because we didnt think the mold was treated properly (their guy just sprayed some stuff around and turned on some fans!). Peyton was going to come test for us and give us a plan. HIGHLY RECOMMEND calling them! He gave us such peace of mind and kindness. I will 100% call them with any mold issue I run across again!! I will spread the word about this company in as many ways as I can.
